  1. Matt Young is always talking about how smart he is. Man, I hate guys like that.
  2. I hope so. As any good former Tarheel would, I truly hate Duke and I want to punch JJ Redick in the face and cram one of his poems down his throat. I'm really glad I caught the end of that game.
  3. Just in case Anglesault is reading this...here's a picture of his favorite Jeff Weaver moment...
  4. It will be fixed. Many of the programs built for Mac can't handle the Intel processing. They included temporary patches with these first units shipped, but they aren't permanent solutions. The bugs will be fixed over time, because Mac is making a total transition to Intel processors. I read an article on engadget about it.
  5. iTunes if you want fast, high quality episodes legally. $1.99 a piece. Or any bit-torrent site.

    24: Season 5

You may be right, Ripper. He knew the entire plan that's about to go down. How and why? We don't know yet. But I bet bits and pieces are going to trickle out over the season. Now everytime I watch an All-State commercial, I'm going to be waiting for one of those cars to clip him while he stands in the middle of the intersection.
  7. I'll go as far as to nearly guarantee it. The digital cable preview mentions Charley's "far too vivid" dreams.
  8. UNC is performing close to how I expected this year. Win some games they aren't supposed to win and lose some games they aren't supposed to lose. They are the only team in NCAA history to have lost ALL of the starters from the previous years National Championship.
  9. I hope you are wrong about Libby being Hurley's ex shrink. Eventually these associations would be too much without an elaborate explanation that I'm not sure they can provide.
  10. Mountain man, hillbilly. Just another nickname. Jack got pwned tonight. First he got completely embarrassed by the Others and Mr. Friendly shooting down his theory in a rather harsh manner and then his wife left him for another man, which I'm betting $100 right now is Desmond. The army part was solid gold though. And so was the scene with Charley, Hurley and Sayid. And that was obviously Rosseau's daughter that handed off Kate. Great episode.
  11. I prefer Las Vegas Aces to Blackjacks. The Aces would be a good team name.

    24: Season 5

I think they will realize it wasn't Jack by the end of tonight. At least, I hope so, or I'm gonna be pissed.

    24: Season 5

Awesome way to start the season. I knew Michelle's car was going to blow up - just the way they framed it and Tony saying "she had to go somewhere." Man, I love 24.

    24: Season 5

I also never watch "next week on 24". Makes it a lot more enjoyable. They also give things away on the DVDs if you've never seen the episodes. In the menu for the episode there is almost always a picture of the episode's surprise or the main plot point. Really annoying. You guys should hook yourselves up with a DVR. It's only about $6.50 a month if you already have digital cable.
  15. That was a great game.
  16. I don't think the Marlins got worse. Granted, they put the 2006 season in the bag, but they acquired more key parts and upper level prospects than they did in the previous firesale. Everyone assumes that the previous firesale built the 2003 championship but go back and look at the moves. The only key players that came over was Derek Lee and AJ Burnett and AJ contributed exactly nothing to the 2003 championship run. The rest were shrewd draft moves/fa signings (Beckett, Cabrera, Alex Gonzalez, Luis Castillo) or trades that came later (Lowell, Willis, Conine, Pierre, Encarnacion). The previous firesale also didn't leave two mega-studs behind like Cabrera and Willis. The Marlins aren't going to be as bad off as everyone thinks.
  17. People should read the Fire + Water one even if they are averse to these. It doesn't mention anything remotely major but it does mention something that we've all been hoping for. H + L = looooooooove.
  18. Hard to believe that it's almost exactly 24 hours away from the Season Premiere of 24. It seems like it was just yesterday that the show ended in May and we ALL were bitching about how far away January is. On top of that, the story left off in a great place and it's going to be interesting to see where things go with Jack and the Chinese government. I am making the bold prediction right here as the first post in this thread that this will be the season where Jack eats the bullet, for real. WHO DO YOU WORK FOR???
  19. The Dodgers got Danys Baez and Lance Carter from the D-Rays for former #1 prospect Edwin Jackson and Chuck Tiffany. I have a ton of Chuck Tiffany rookie cards, so I'm not sure how I feel about this.
  20. Sounds like Damaramu's shooting for this webpage... www.bizarrebids.com Worth checking out for everyone - there's some hilarious shit on there.
  21. I'm still holding out hope for a UNC victory over Duke in the game at the Smith Center. Maybe that's the Tarheel in me, but I truly believe it. I'm just upset that I'm not in Chapel Hill anymore... I like this team almost as much as last years. The only difference is that last year victory was expected - this year it's much more rewarding.
  22. Sorry for combining a few varied things in one thread, but maybe I can get all of my questions answered at once. I picked up the Tom Clancy Trilogy pack today for $19.99. It features Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, and Rainbox Six 3. Are these games as good as the reviews make them out to be? Either way - I'm pretty excited about getting 3 games for $20. The other two games I was wondering about: Indigo Prophecy and Lord of the Rings: The Third Age I looked at both of these while at the store and both seemed like they would be decent, and the reviews are ok... has anyone played them?
  23. Well, the way most people build up feedback is by buying first - I would think. There are also some auctions on eBay for .99 or so to "trade feedback." I started selling right off the bat, but that was in 2001 and I didn't really know better. I didn't realize until much later that it may have cost me. The keys to selling: good title that will hit on as many keywords as possible, picture is a must, and a clean description that lays out the shipping and all of that. If your auction looks like: This is a copy of Madden 2003 for Xbox. And that's it - you'll definitely get no bids. I mostly buy/sell sports cards so I'm not sure how it works in all areas, but if you look around eBay - you can see some well laid out auctions and try to mimick them.
  24. Well, if you ship within the United States, you will be covered by Paypal seller protection plan as long as you ship with delivery confirmation. It was .55 extra, but with the new rate increase at the post office - I'm not sure what it is now. I've sold hundreds of items, and was even briefly a powerseller. eBay sent me a whole bunch of free stuff after that. It's almost impossible to sell stuff with 0 feedback, so you're not going to do as well as you'd like until you have a reputation as someone trustworthy. The only way to do that is build up your feedback. Good luck.
