  1. Wow. So obvious, but apparently, I guess not.
  2. As much as I love Lost, nothing beats Jack Bauer - NOTHING. I can't wait until January.
  3. Ithaca, NY: It's 50 right now, been in the mid 60s lately but it's supposed to go back to nearly 80 for next week.
  4. I'm hoping Eli can continue producing like he did against the Chargers. To be honest, I haven't been this excited about football season in a few years. Even though Eli looks like one of those guys you used to know in high school that still can't quite figure out long division - I really think he has a chance to be a special quarterback.
  5. The thought of Hurley being "him" crossed my mind - but it doesn't fit with me for some reason. I feel like "him" is going to Desmond's replacement/superior/compatriot and I have a feeling that Hurley is just a pawn in this by using the numbers for the lottery. I have a feeling that when "him" is revealed, it will be a new character or something totally unexpected.
  6. Well, I know one Marlin who will be trying on Sunday - that being Dontrelle. A convincing victory will give him the Cy Young - but a loss could give it to Carpenter.
  7. Biggles, you're wasting your time. Apparently the DHARMA anagram is really DHRAMA and the A and D are mixed up, because, it's all a mathematical code you see, and somehow that makes perfect sense. And don't even try to argue because we are all just inferior plebians basking in the glow of Stephen Joseph's towering knowledge of Lost.

    I got a puppy

My name is Mike, so we couldn't exactly have the same name.
  9. Whoops. DP. I might as well add something and state that I still need to see Batman.
  10. I thought 40 year old virgin before I even saw the choices. It might not have been a prototypical summer movie, but it was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen in my life - have to pick it.

    I got a puppy

He's a hound mix, I think with either boxer or pitbull. His name is Tucker. We get to take him home next week (he has to get his balls removed first...sorry, buddy). I'm going to enjoy my sleep while I can still get it.
  12. I like Spring, Summer, and early Fall equally. Fuck late fall and winter - it sucks in central NY.
  13. It says DHMRMA Except the R and D are backwards. Google AMRMHD =) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're trying way too hard. A mathematical code? That would only glaze over the eyes of 99% of the audience. Myself included.
  14. The thing is, you didn't even have to pause it. It was obviously and clearly visible in real time. Either it was one of the most obvious things yet, or we're all just getting better at looking for them. "It's the virgin mary. You don't want to drop her, she's, you know...holy."
  15. Well, I did like how they showed what happened down there with Locke and Desmond (they were Locke's shoes...HA). I also hate that it ended at the same time point as it did last week. I agree, nothing terribly exciting, but I was entertained throughout. And treble is definitely right...the shark very clearly had Desmond's symbol.
  16. He will next year for Interleague. Other than that, he's not going anywhere until late 2009, if that.
  17. So, if Locke has to go back down into the hatch, I'm assuming that first they will have to get out of the situation with Desmond. Or will it somehow be skipped past only to be returned to later? I sure hope not.
  18. Sure, when they are winning.
  19. I know I'm his cabana boy and all, but this article pisses me off in a way. Especially the part I bolded. I hope he doesn't end up pissing it all away.
  20. Well, that certainly went over my head.
  21. I have a feeling this thread won't get many responses. I live with 4 girls, so I have no choice but to catch bits and pieces. I have no idea what's going on, but I saw the last five minutes while waiting to watch Family Guy on DVR and I think it's freaky that those new neighbors have that guy chained up in their basement.
  22. Considering he has taken every single change he's gotten lately to slam the team, the management, and the fans, that might be the best idea.
  23. I know at this stage, most people could care less about the Marlins, but Miguel Cabrera was held out of tonight's game due to a discipline issue. Team isn't revealing what, but just another boot in Jack McKeon's ass out the door.

    NFL Week 3

Palmer has had 3 good games and now everyone is on the bandwagon? If we are talking strictly from a learning curve perspective, Manning is already miles ahead.

    NFL Week 3

Even though the Giants lost the game last night... to me, it was a great game as a Giants fan. Eli Manning proved, to me at least, that he is the real deal. He has already shown more progress than Carson Palmer, Joey Harrington, and many other top QB draft picks. He looked incredible last night. The two problems: 1) The Giants inability to convert red zone opportunities into TDs (worst of all, the opening drive - they looked unstoppable and then all of a sudden they are kicking a 22 yd field goal 2) Turnovers - David Tyree's (or was it the other receiver?) fumble when the Giants were driving for a sure TD in the middle of the 4th quarter didn't help matters. I'm thrilled though - Eli's gonna be no less than an above average quarterback. He might even end up outstanding.
