  1. Let's not forget that American Idol was stolen from the Uk as well.
  2. I think it's glorious. Last I saw it was 6-0 and I come back to check the score the Phillies lost... Ha! Tough loss Phillies fans.
  3. Marlins and Houston tangle again starting tomorrow in Florida. Looking good... Marlins miss Clemens and send Willis, Pavano, and Beckett. Nice. And Aj Burnett throws an extended spring training game today and will make a start in double A next week. He's due back June 2nd against the Mets. From what I've been reading in the Miami Herald he's improved his motion and his stuff is going to be even more electric than before (which lead the league in shutouts).
  4. There's going to have be some rules and conditions. Like What? Like you can't bring your horse in the house. That was pretty damn funny.
  5. So, was the end part of the dream sequence or not, because after the phone conversation with Carmela, I got the feeling he could have still been dreaming. I mean, he knows Tony B. killed the guy anyway, so that could have been part of his dream even though it really did happen.
  6. ha
  7. Well it's finally happened... Dontrelle Willis brought in to the Marlins game today as a pinch hitter. He grounded out to 2nd.
  8. I wouldn't exactly call that news, but ok. Marlins have left the bases loaded twice already. So frustrating. But they are still up 3-1.
  9. I'd lack to back the nomination that Godfather can't be in this tournament, since it won the last one. Shawshank has every right, however.
  10. Based on the teaser, I thought this was about an old washed up superhero, but now he's here in good shape ready to fight crime (and portrayed by the original "Coach" Craig T. Nelson). At least it looks that way. There is also a female hero named Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) and the BEST of all....Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone, the black superhero. One word for that - awesome. Check it out, I think it looks good. http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney/the_incredibles/
  11. Avatar? Shinobi?
  12. If he faked his death and showed up at the banquet, everyone will go nuts and cheer and then the next morning he'll be arrested. It is illegal to fake your own death, correct? That and he owes the government about 20 years worth of taxes.
  13. Marlins lost today and the Phillies won, leaving them top atied the NL East. The Marlins are the only team in baseball to have been in first place since opening day. They had better get their heads out of their asses if they want to keep it that way. The Marlins got shutout today, too, and it didn't dawn on me until I read it, but it was the first time all season.
  14. Mole, man, just give up. You can't bring up Outkast when he was talking about crossover hits and Da Band not having any. Who the hell do you think buys all of Outkasts CDs? I have the whitest of white friends who only listen to rock, and they all say the same shit. "I don't like rap, but I loooove Outkast." They are the ultimate crossover rap act. Little girls, white boys, and everyone else buys their record. And good for them. As for the numbers you are pulling out, you're only picking the most successful people. 500,000 for an opening record is a shitload and certainly won't get a normal act released from their label. In fact, it would get the record company to hype their second album beyond belief knowing that they have a fanbase. Not everyone sells a million their first time out.
  15. 1. Big Fish 2. Bottle Rocket 3. Royal Tenenbaums 4. Rocky 5. Good Will Hunting 6. Braveheart 7. Kill Bill 1 (and 2) 8. Once Upon a Time in Mexico 9. Citizen Kane 10. South Park - Bigger, Longer, Uncut 11. American Pie (original) 12. Whale Rider 13. Pulp Fiction 14. Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring 15. Bad Santa 16. The Matrix 17. Rushmore 18. EDITed to include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
  16. "That guy" is Odysseus, who you just may have heard of. And it is foreshadowed. After the council of leaders where Agamemnon is going crazy and yelling that they will never breach the wall, he goes out and sees a soldier making a wooden horse for his son. He gets a glimmer in his eye and the idea for the horse is born. He is also the narrator of the story for the brief period it is narrated and went on to have a little adventure of his own.
  17. That sounds like it is incredibly in the favor of Boston. I hope for the sake of baseball that deal doesn't happen.
  18. Ok then. 1) You got me. Congratulations. I still have no idea what you're talking about. 2) There's nothing supposed about it, chief. There's 8 schools and Cornell is one of them. 3) One incorrect sentence does not mean I have a very basic knowledge of English. Everyone is always trying to put themselves over on me, yet everyone thinks I'm the one who always brings it up. This thread is gonna get locked because Tyler had to stroke his ego and take it way off course.
  19. Oh jesus... We all make mistakes, except mistakes and all, I'm gonna be rich biatch. I forgot a comma, I'm terribly sorry. And if you're referring to the word gonna, we're on a message board, dude. I'm not writing a doctoral thesis. Or were you just misunderstanding what I was trying to say, which seems like the more likely scenario.
  20. Well, I was gonna add the honk honk, but I figured no one would get it. Apparently this didn't work either. I was doing the end of Chapelle Show, when it shows his production company. I'm riiiich biatch... honk honk.
  21. I didn't even read the article. It's just pointless for them to make another Bruce Almighty without Jim Carrey and now that I went back to read it they said they are interested in bringing back Carrey. What, he is gonna help some new guy handle his god powers? And the joke never gets old, does it? We all make mistakes, except mistakes and all I'm gonna be rich biatch. So why don't we all just save ourselves the trouble and think of something new.
  22. How can there be a sequel to Bruce Almighty? He learns his lesson at the end...what exactly would the premise, plot, or for that matter...the point be?
  23. That was Nathan Jones? I thought that guy was a monster. Damn he was big. Pitt was a total badass in this movie. He pulled it off well, and he was cool as hell doing it. He knew he couldn't lose and it showed. I thought it was an entertaining way to spend a few hours and enjoyed it quite a bit.
  24. Yeah, I think it's a little rediculous to say that Clay doesn't have any talent. He's one of the 5 biggest losers that can call themselves celebrities, but you can't discount the fact that he has an exceptional voice, especially for a male vocalist.
  25. Marlins win, Benitez knocks it down and lowers his ERA to 0.40. Maybe he did just need to get out of NY.
