Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Atticus Chaos replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
MORE DETAILS ON DEATH OF CHRIS BENOIT & family By: Bob Ryder 6/25/2007 6:36:57 PM Details remain very sketchy regarding the tragic news today that Chris Benoit and his family were found dead at their Atlanta area home. Benoit had been scheduled to appear on a WWE house show on Saturday. Sources tell us Benoit called to first say he would be taking a later flight, and then to say he would not be attending the house show due to a family illness. According to one source, Benoit said both his wife and son were throwing up blood and he needed to stay to take care of them. At last night's Vengeance pay-per-view, Benoit was replaced in his match by Johnny Nitro. No other details are available at this time and police are on the scene at the Benoit residence investigating -
DOA wasn't a great movie by any means. But it wasn't the worst video game based movie I've ever seen either. At least, not enought to justify how appallingly it did. I agree that it could have been helped by an A or even B list star in it. I can only assume that all of the big name actresses who were possibly sent the script (Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes..etc ) turned their noses up at it.

I think Brown will remove the troops from Iraq within the first 100 or so days. While currently popular with voters, he's facing a general election at some point in the next two years against a rejuvinated conservative party led by David Cameron, who are narrowing the gap in the polls. Given the unpopulariy of the war, the best thing he could do for himself is bring the troops home. And, really, what does he have gain by appeasing Dubya? He knows there will be a new president next year and that President isn't likely to hold the withdraw of UK troops against him, especially if him/her is a democrat .

OH NO NIGGA DIDN'T! Seriously though, can the more esteemed British posters explain to us what Blair's legacy is, and what's expected of the man taking over? Blair: A charismatic PM whose reputation was permanently ruined by the Iraq war. It's become a joke in some circles that he's Bush's poodle. Personally, I think he jumped before he was pushed by...... Brown: Less charismatic or flashy, but percieved as a competent and hard working guy. He's waited ten years for the job and specualtion is that he'll do everything to keep it. He knows the dangers of being seen to be too supportive of George Bush. Likes to do things his way, but has lately shown that he's willing to listen to others (even offering a top job to a liberal democrat in his new government) Also, apparently things got pretty ugly between him and Tony towards the end. From what I gather Tony said he would reign two terms then step down and hand over to Brown . Then he changed his mind and went for a third. After this, him and Brown never saw eye to eye and Brown was said to freqeuntly say to him "I no longer trust anything you say". Blair was actually making plans to remove him, egged on by his wife (who really hates Brown), but he was needed for the 3rd election so he stayed. As mentioned, Tony was basically forced to go, or face a takeover from Brown and his supporters (after Iraq he was very unpopular within his own party)

Man who raped 10 year old girl given 2 years in jail
Atticus Chaos replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in Current Events
It was rape. Everything I've read says the men attacked her. Anyway, according to British law, sex with any child under 13 is considered full blown rape, rather than statutory rape regardless of whether they appear willing or not. -
The Bush administration is freaking out over this. They think one of Brown's first moves will be to be pull out British troops from Iraq, because it will increase his popularity and because he was never a big supporter of the war in the first place.

Man who raped 10 year old girl given 2 years in jail
Atticus Chaos replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in Current Events
I'm not too sure about that. I think at 12 or 13 a girl could pull it off. But 10? -
Children's charities have reacted with anger after a window cleaner who raped a girl of 10 was jailed for two years. Keith Fenn, 24, will be free in four months after a judge said the girl, who was attacked in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, had appeared older. The charity Kidscape accused Judge Julian Hall of "trying to find excuses" and said a child must never be blamed. Attorney General Lord Goldsmith is to decide whether the sentence should be appealed against as "unduly lenient". Judge Hall had said that the sentencing had been the most difficult decision he had ever made, but the girl had appeared to be 16. She was attacked by Fenn and an accomplice in a park in Henley-on-Thames on 14 October last year. Moral dilemma Oxford Crown Court heard that Fenn removed her clothes and raped her, while an accomplice, Darren Wright, 34, took her home and sexually assaulted her. The judge said in sentencing he faced a moral dilemma as the fact they had sex within 45 minutes of meeting was an absolute crime. But he said the girl had dressed provocatively and looked as though she was 16. He gave Fenn concurrent two-year and 18-month sentences, but he will be free in eight weeks after serving eight months in prison awaiting sentence. Wright is already free as Judge Hall had already given him a nine-month sentence for inciting the girl to perform a sex act. 'Back to the 1950s' Dr Michele Elliott, director of Kidscape said the decision had left her "lost for words". She said: "It takes us back to the 1950s when the victim was blamed if they were dressed provocatively. "No one in my opinion could mistake a 10-year-old child, even dressed up, for a 16-year-old. They are just trying very hard to find excuses. "You can never blame a child victim for sexual abuse when excusing the abuser of any kind of abuse." The NSPCC added: "There is no excuse for having sex with a 10-year-old, no matter how she dresses." A spokesman for Lord Goldsmith said he had asked the Crown Prosecution Service to send him the papers on the case, and would consider whether or not to refer the sentence to the Court of Appeal as "unduly lenient". He has 28 days to make a decision. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6237480.stm This is the same judge who freed a paedophile and told him to buy his six-year-old victim a new bicycle to "cheer her up". http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml.../03/nbike03.xml

WWE General Discussion for June 2007
Atticus Chaos replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
What's the story here? I believe he's talking about a story on her mentioning that she was very popular amongst the veterans backstage. Apparently, if you're a woman and you're popular backstage that means that you're a whore. Melina must not put out then. The way it was phrased, Alvarez was certainly not talking about her gaining geniune respect from those she worked with. Otherwise he would have said that. Saying she was a "favourite" of the older men in the company (not just the wrestlers) has other connotations, which I'm sure he was aware of. -

What's the story here? Around the time her marriage ended, Bryan Alvarez reported that she had become a "favourite" of the older men in the company. -

To be fair, these girls are on the road so much it's difficult to be in a relationship with anyone outside the business and spend time with them. So, you might as well date someone you work with, so at least you can be together on the road. The only one I've heard of full blown whoring themselves out is Michelle McCool. Also, Molly supposedly dated Daviari for a while. -

source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter Viscera's transfer from Raw to ECW is going to end up being really beneficial for the big man. He is currently in line for a monster push in ECW. The idea is to make him a version of the 1980's One Man Gang character in World Class and UWF, where he pretty much plows through everyone because of his immense girth. Viscera's going to be repackaged - the comedy overtones and giant pajamas are going to be stripped from his persona. No more Viscagra and no more Rick Rude-like pelvic thrusts. Basically, "The World's Largest Love Machine" gimmick is no more. He's going to go back to being mean and bad, similar to Mark Henry if you will. The idea is to get him over as big and unstoppable in ECW, then bring him back to Raw or SmackDown by the end of the year as a monster heel who can headline. This will be similar to what they perceived they did successfully with Snitsky, who is scheduled to mow down undercarders for the rest of the year and feud with Cena in 2008. Viscera is getting a renewed pushed because he is big and not a problem backstage. Dave Lagana, the head writer of ECW, didn't want him on the brand unless he was going to be repackaged because he felt his "Love Machine" gimmick would never get over as a headliner. Furthermore, Vince McMahon liked the idea of Viscera being pushed like the One Man Gang in the 80's. Plus, it's easy to convince Vince to push a monster, even it's failed a few times before, as opposed to a smaller person, even if the person has a history of past success. -
Mr. McMahon "dead" - Now for the "whodunit" angle.

I like that. They're playing it for comedy, which is what they should have been doing from the start. -
Did anyone catch Keith Allen will burn in hell? It was a documentary that aired in the UK, so I'm guessing not too many will have seen it. Basically, he got in a fight with Shirely about sinning and morality and he brought up the fact her eldest son was illegitemate (a well kept secret revealed to him by a film student who had done a documentary on them) . She got royally owned.

Ric Flair has been telling many people backstage that Wrestlemania 24 will be his official retirement match and the end of his in ring career as a performer. The move to Smackdown makes it easier to showcase a Flair retirement storyline when the time comes. pwinsider audio -

Nope, just horrific mutitlations and scars, depending on exactly what was done to them. I'm not saying they'll be unaffected, but if that happened to me, I'd rather not have any memory of it.
-
The only good thing I can say is that the really young ones won't have any memory of their ordeal. Anyway, the guys who did this deserve to suffer the longest and most painful deaths. It pains me that some people go on about pedophile's rights....as far as I'm concerned those people have NO rights.

LONDON - Police smashed a global Internet pedophile ring, rescuing 31 children and rounding up more than 700 suspects worldwide, authorities said Monday. Some 200 suspects are based in Britain, the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Center said. The ring was traced to an Internet chat room called "Kids the Light of Our Lives" that featured images of children being subjected to horrific sexual abuse. The investigation involves agencies from 35 countries and lasted 10 months. The host of the Web site, Timothy David Martyn ***, 27, of Buxhall, who used the online identity "Son of God," admitted to nine counts of possessing and distributing indecent images, authorities said. After his arrest in September, authorities were able to infiltrate the chat room and collect evidence on the other members. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070618/ap_on_...eTLdM2T.6YE1vAI Some good news for once.

How about Vince the white? -
Anyone think there was more sexual chemistry between Alba and Evans than there was between Alba and Gruffold? I know Sue and Johnny are brother and sister and all, but they always looked like they were about to make out.
-
Part of DOA's problem (apart from the fact it was crap) was that it was released months ago in other countries so you had all these bootleg qualities going around. Anyone mildly curious to see it would watch it for free rather than waiting months and paying for it.
-
If you look at all the stuff on wwe.com it's very tongue in cheek: talking about office workers sobbing into their coffee, selling bits of the limo on auction...etc They aren't actually trying to convince anyone he's dead, it's just stuff to push the storyline.

--There was serious talk within WWE yesterday regarding the McMahon angle due to the timing of the death of Sherri Martel. There was a significant push to drop the angle as quickly as possible, citing taste and timing, and another school of thought (that most expect would win out) to keep going. wo.com
