Milwaukee's the worst type of bad team. They're not a laughably bad team with a ton of media attention (Knicks) or a bad team with a superstar (Heat). The Bucks are just plain bad and largely irrelevant. Even one of my friends who's a Bucks fan admits as much.

So I guess Danica Patrick avoided Anna Kournikova/Michelle Wie status by finally winning an Indy Car race this weekend, huh?

Great job Detroit (I mean, Reggie Evans? Seriously?). I guess the Pistons are gonna make like the Red Wings and get in a longer 1st-round series than I had hoped for.

As many anaylsts have said before, he basically "shot-puts" the ball up there. Random thought: I'll still never understand how Ben Wallace shoots about 10% worse from the foul line than Shaq. At least Ben looks like he's making an honest attempt at good form. (EDIT I guess he's had some type of lingering wrist issue for awhile now...I'm sure that plays a big factor)

Yeah, I couldn't recall the Lakers and Mavs meeting in the playoffs recently (and yes, they haven't met in the 2000s at all after checking). I find it somewhat amazing that these two teams haven't crossed paths at least once in the past 7-8 years.

Pistons...22-8 vs. the West this season, experience, much improved bench, plus I think they would be more in their element as the underdog (which I would imagine they'd be against most of the West teams) if they made the Finals. On another note, FUCK that Wizards/Cavs game earlier.

Pretty curious move for Don Nelson to bench Baron Davis for the entire 2nd half last night. Granted, Davis wasn't playing well and the Warriors still had a good shot of winning but why rest your star and leader now with a possible playoff spot on the line?

Obviously I'd love to see Detroit win it all, but I'm just worried about their mindset. Ever since 'Sheed left Horry wide open in the '05 Finals, it's been pretty disappointing times for the Pistons in the playoffs. You could argue that they were better than Miami in '06 and especially Cleveland in '07 but imploded both years. Detroit gets too arrogant at times, thinking they can just "turn on the switch" at any time plus they whine a lot on the court (not all 'Sheed either). I am encouraged by the bench play this year though. As far as the West goes, I wouldn't mind seeing anyone in the Finals minus the Spurs (don't like them) or Jazz (bad matchup for Detroit). I'm really looking forward to these matchups.

Well, for anyone who cares (probably no one), Bret ended up picking Amber yesterday. Decent choice. I don't know how the fuck Daisy got into the final two to begin with...I found her intriguing at first, but I thought Bret was really overselling her "beauty", plus she seemed to have all sorts of issues.

Old... I do have this irrational fear that I may die young though cuz most ppl I know see me as this great guy. I think of it as too much good karma...it always seems like the ones who have everything going for them and are well-liked end up dying young (either those ppl, or the ones who are so fucked up beyond belief that an early death is inevitable). I don't wanna feel like my life is complete until at least 80.
