How is it a good pick up for them? Surely he couldn't have been the only guy capable of playing second base that was available. If the Tigers are picking up the second year of his contract, then Jim Hendry may have just pulled a smaller scale Aramis and Kenny for Bobby Hill and Jose Hernandez. What's his contract like? I think it's a good pickup because Polanco might be out for the rest of the year and they don't really have another option at 2B. They didn't give up much for him. I know that Cubbie fans hate Neifi, but he's a capable fill-in for the Tigers, and when Polanco comes back he goes to a utility role. Well they do have Omar Infante who's a pretty good player. Perez will get a few starts, but he's in Detroit so Pudge doesn't have to play 2B again (lol). But really, it gives Leyland more options. Once Polanco comes back, Ramon Santiago will be sent down (if he hasn't been already) and Perez will be used as a pinch-runner mainly b/c the Tigers don't have much speed in their lineup.

Nine of the 13 runs he's allowed to Detroit this year have come in two games: one came earlier in the year as a reliever and last night, where he admitted the pain was so great he had trouble throwing any of his pitches. He went eight innings, gave up two earned and struck out 12 against them two weeks ago. That's hardly getting owned. Alright how many losses does Liriano have? Three. How many have come against Detroit? Two. OK so he pitched great in one game and was hurt in another. I guess I'm just basing it on wins and losses. I'm just excited that the Tigers are going to the playoffs for the first time since i was only a few days old so forgive me if I sound a little delusional. They do own the Twins this year though, despite tonight's game.

Liriano gets owned by the Tigers AGAIN!!! Yeah some ppl will say that he wasn't himself cause he skipped a start. But if u look at the numbers, Detroit is the only team that he really has trouble with. Zach Miner put in another quality start, Brandon Inge keeps dazzling us with the glove, and Craig Monroe continues to shine as of late. This team is here to stay. Check that, apparently Liriano has a sore elbow and is out indefinitely. Even so, Detroit's win tonight was still impressive.

This is great if he is coming back. Jeff has always been my favorite Hardy. When I first started watching wrestling on a regular basis they were the first ppl that stood out to me. They have always been my favorite tag team and Lita was always my favorite female (until recently). I just pray that Jeff's mind is right and hopefully there are big plans in store for the Hardyz.

Maybe he was referring to the last few seasons with both of them having .300+/25+/100+ seasons with a WS in 04. Obviously they aren't as great as Ruth and Gehrig (although Manny will be in the HOF and may have the RBI record. Ortiz didn't do enough early in his career to be a HOFer).

That's how I saw it. Sure, he shot a few ppl and said some stuff, but there wasn't much in the movie that stood out to me. The Asian chick was pretty hot though (and there's not too many that I would go for). The focus seemed to be more on Farrell rather than Foxx. Overall, not a bad movie, but I wouldn't recommend anyone to go out of their way to see it.

I just saw MV tonite and thought it was just OK. Jamie Foxx didn't really do much except fuck that black chick. The best part was when he said "just playin." That was some funny shit right there. I didn't think Colin Farrell was that great either. The movie just didn't seem to make it out of first gear. Not nearly as much action as I would've thought. BTW, I think that was the first movie I saw where there were no opening credits. Me and a couple of my buddies went. We went at 10, so it was easy to sneak in without paying. Plus we had alcohol so it was good times.
