Thanks for the feedback gents, I think I won't even bother. I'm in an apartment and have come to the realization that no matter what I'm going to have a bunch of interference.

I want to know what changed from the 2006 Mets to the 2007 Mets and 2008 Mets? Is the bullpen ENTIRELY to blame? I haven't followed the team closely until the end of the last two seasons, so what exactly is different from 2006 NLCS Mets to today?

goldengreek is full of bad ideas. I never thought Punk was ready to be champ, but was kinda surprised they decided to take the title off him. I like him in the tag division for the time being, but I hope he's not another Randy Orton circa 2004. -
Damn Mets had no business winning that game.

Anyone in the Philadelphia area market with Comcast have them as showing Everybody Hates Chris tomorrow night at 8pm in place of SmackDown? Even though the Phillies game will probably be rained out, That's scheduled to be on Comcast SportsNet. There is no listing for Smackdown on the local CW, but I get the New York CW, WPIX channel 254, and it has it listed on that channel as Smackdown starting at 8. Kinda weird, as I know next week is the move to MyNetworkTV, is this Philly's CW way of saying fuck off? Or just an error? -
If the Mets lose this game I would hope it would demoralize them enough to get beaten 2 out of 3 to the fish, much less one more from the Cubs.
-
The game would be over already if it wasn't for his error.

This Nationals series is not going to be a cakewalk. I only wish it was. I have a bad feeling about this.

I liked him. I also liked the idea about Hirohito. I like angles like that, because it's something different than the standard wrestling formula. It has twists and turns that deal with real life aspects, but I can suspend disbelief with almost anything, so I never get uncomfortable or upset at something in wrestling. The car crash into the SD set after Eddie died didn't bother me, Hassan didn't bother me, Benoit's "tribute" didn't bother me. I've grown up on wrestling, and I can honestly say none of the angles can or will bother me personally. Wrestling = Entertainment Entertainment = Movies That's my mindset.

Piper at Starrcade '96. I was young and thought he won the title, but alas it was a non-title bout. I don't remember if they hyped it up as a non-title, or simply didn't say a word about it since everyone thought it was for the title. They could've done the same finish at SuperBrawl '97 with Macho turning on Piper and joining the nWo to get the belt back to Hogan, instead of Hogan holding the belt hostage.

This is what I feared the most. If the Phils lose, let the Mets or Brewers lose. If the Mets and Brewers win, I get a little uneasy.

I think I just was rubbed the wrong way due to his whining. Of course I understand he's gonna give up runs, but since I have such high expectations for him as hopefully the next big thing for the next decade, it sucks when the game is close and he gives it up then. He usually gives up a few in the beginning innings then settles down. Tonight it seemed like that, it was 2-1, then he gives up the homerun which became the game winner. Stuff like that just annoys me no matter who the pitcher is, but since he is so good, I get even angrier. I usually come out of these phases an hour or so after a game when it happens.
-
Yes, and he has been for quite a while, dating back to the game where Hamels gave up a homerun in the 8th inning to the Braves to tie the game 2-2. I believe the Phillies wound up losing the game. This must have been in July or August, I think. Maybe June. And I've agreed with Mitch ever since. I don't watch much of the postgame show either, but I caught that one. I know people are gonna say "what does he know, he was a shitty closer", but the man knows baseball. He's on the WIP Morning Show part time, and I like listening to his ramblings about the game of baseball. He doesn't come off as a delirious former player who thinks he used to be great, which makes me respect him a little more, I guess.
-
No, you just need to understand I agree with Mitch Williams, of all people.
-
Hamels. I'm sick of hearing how great he is. He needs to be an ace to go out and if your team scores two runs, you need to give up at most one. He never seems to do that and it annoys the shit out of me. The fact he whines a lot makes me want to whine about him even more.
-
Way to go, ace.

According to MLB.com's Gameday, Luis Castillo struck out looking on three straight strikes right down the middle. Is that true? How can you do that in that situation, much less no outs and no runners on?
-
Kelly Johnson with a game-tying 2-run HR. This is not good.
-
Apparently the Cubs pitcher hit a grand slam. This is good.

I do have them, jackass.

I apologize if there is a thread dealing with this already, but I searched and couldn't find one for my topic. I am looking into getting a Bose Wave Radio that I can set in front of my television and listen to AM and FM radio during the nighttime when I'm home. During national sports games, I can listen to the local announcers from the radio instead of going online to listen to the live stream. I also like to listen to NPR every day. That's pretty much what I am shooting for. However, the AM reception for my alarm clock and my iHome are not good at all in my room, even the FM isn't great. I found a system online for as low as $349, but that doesn't include shipping and handling. My uncle has one but hasn't really helped me out on the matter since we're not really close. I don't think my tv, computer, or other devices interfere because I shut them all off and unplugged them and I still had bad reception with nothing but static. Is Bose the way to go for what I need it for? Or is there a cheaper solution, where I don't have to worry about the AM reception? All I really need is a AM/FM radio with good-great reception in my room, but nothing has worked.

As great as the last day of the season was in the NL East last year, I'm hoping the Phils can hang on and clinch a spot in the next few days, instead of waiting until the weekend.

Eagles aren't a slouch. They're just as good to make it to the NFC Title game or SB as Dallas or The Pack. I definitely think they'll prove it, as well.

I know how baseball works, I know closers have a hard time holding runners. The point I was making is I never noticed how bad Lidge was at it until tonight.
-
It's amazing how much base runners can get a lead on Lidge. I haven't noticed it that much until tonight. Lidge is basically paying no attention to the runner, and the players keep having to remind him.
