Oh, al, I was wondering how Dubee got ejected last night? I was at a bar and I caught the boxscore after the 6th inning on CSN, and it said Dubee was ejected. I didn't catch the highlights, either. Also, I was watching my DVR of AWA on ESPN Classic and it said Steve Smith was suspended for two games for actions towards the umpire last week against the Cubs. What happened? Thanks in advance.

So, my sister, a Cowboys fans, and myself have a bet for this season. I have so much faith in my Eagles, I bet her that they would have a better record than the Cowboys this season. If I lose, I have to shave my legs. If I win, she has to not shave hers for a month. If they wind up tied, we both lose. TIME FOR FOOTBALL SEASON

I'm trying not to get ahead of myself, but holy hell has Brett Myers turned his shit around. I love that Howard Eskin was wrong. I love how most Phillies fans were wrong, including myself. When he got called back up from the minors, where he didn't do that great, I never expected this. He faced shitty teams. But he's done it against some hot teams as of late. I know it's dreaming, but if we could somehow, just somehow, land Sabathia, I think we cement the best starting rotation next year in the league, whoever the 4th and 5th starters are. But hopefully Myers can keep this up, Moyer stays reliable, and Hamels continues to be Hamels (minus the constant whining) and we could still be in the thick of it for not only the division, but the wild card.

The Things That Anger You Thread.

It's cool to have a girlfriend that you only see two or three days a week. Especially when you live close to her. I've been with mine for 2 and a half years and we've gone from seeing each other every day to seeing each other two, three, or four times a week at the most. Obviously, school and work are the factors in this, but it still gives us the time we want alone and with our friends. It takes a while to get to that stage, because once you start going out with a girl, they want to see you 24/7 almost. Just bear with that for a few months then it changes and the guy basically controls the relationship. At least that's how it is in my case. Although, I don't control most of it, but I'm not afraid anymore to tell my girl I don't feel like seeing her, etc. Also, something that angers me is worse posters than myself. -
You know, if the Phillies won more games than they lost, they would have won more games and probably be ahead of the Mets.

I still remember having this on VHS then taping some 1998 WWF PPV over it. Good to have this in my collection again. At 10 years old, Loch Ness scared the shit out of me.

Is WCCW going to be shown more frequently? They were updating pretty frequently not too long ago, but it's been months since I have seen a WCCW show (notwithstanding the Flair themed show.) -
Hogan was getting cheered actually long before he went back to the red and yellow in WCW. In fact, they had to do a double turn with Hogan and Flair to make Hogan face because he just kept getting cheered. If a face turns heel then back again, it doesn't guarantee he is going to be huge. Hogan in WWE as a face when he came back was huge for 2 months, then it quickly died down.

My opinion is of that WWE markets towards kids. e.g. John Cena, WWE Kids! Magazine, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, action figures, t-shirts, etc. I am of the opinion that no male over 15 should be wearing WWE t-shirts or collect action figures (unless you want the Legends ones). The only thing that remotely targets males 18-35 is the divas (not so much anymore), and the HBK/Jericho feud, which can really entertain anybody. I still wonder what the reason was for taking the IC belt off Kofi....does he have any heat on him? Can't say I'm disliking this Santino storyline, though. Also, I'm hoping when Orton returns, he forms a stable with Rhodes and DiBiase, because I miss stables. Evolution was one of my favorites, and I enjoyed La Familia.

As bad as Utley's slide may have looked, when the catcher blocks the plate, it's fair game. If his leg wasn't blocking the plate, and Utley dove at them, then I would have thought that was pretty shitty. Players go for the legs sometimes so the catcher gets screwed up in trying to catch the ball. I was a catcher up through high school, and although I don't speak for all catchers, it was easier to catch a ball and get run into the chest. We thought everything was fair game, though. Maybe we just played dumb.
-
1. And that has nothing to do with this pennant chase. I'm sure Chase got mixed up in sliding because he didn't look sure with what he wanted to do. If you're a catcher, you want them to run into you. Just an unfortunate circumstance. 2. I can remember two others actually. Someone ran into the Cardinals catcher if I remember correctly, and I believe Victorino took out McCann, but that was because McCann turned around right into the runner. What, are you afraid the media is gonna call the Phillies a dirty team now? To me, no play that's crashing into the catcher can be labeled dirty (or stupid).
-
What's wrong with running into the catcher? I've always liked it.

It is said Orton was only there because RAW was in his hometown. It doesn't mean he is back full time yet. EDIT: Beaten to it 2x.

Shitty day for the NL East.
-
It also shows his blatant disregard for the direction of the WWE product, as everyone seems pissed if their product is not marketed towards them.
-
As delirious as I may be, I hope there is a way the Phils can sign Ramirez and Sabathia this off-season.

Interestingly enough, I had no idea I had cousins living in NO until Katrina happened. My mom's kept in touch with them through the years, and actually went down there before I was born in 1985. Hope they are all out of there, as I haven't talked to them so I have no idea where they have gone. I remember asking them to come up here for my 21st birthday since they've never met me, but they kinda scoffed at it. Bastards, but I still wish them no harm!

What could have easily been a 4-game sweep if the bullpen didn't leak, becomes a split. Definitely a better end to the Cubs series than start, but going into the series, I would've taken a split easily.
-
At this point, the thing Phillies fans feared the most is coming to fruition. Our bullpen was supposed to have been horrible this year, and they're starting to leak.
-
Man, phils had it. They had it. Fuckin ass.
-
All I care about is being tied in the loss column. Means if we are .5 behind the fate lies in our hands. Just a bad inning, but I think the Phils can bounce back from this. I thought they were out of it a month ago, but the Mets have proved they can't run away with it, and neither can the Phils. Looking to hopefully split the Cubs and Brewers series.
-
I'm not quite as pissed as I thought I would be, mainly because CSN here keeps showing a guy and his dad (who is really old), Mets fans, and that old guy being happy just seems really cool. I have a sensitive soul like that, but hopefully the Phils can score 4 more runs. What a bad inning.
-
Citizens Bank "Smallpark" just tied the game for the Mets. Hopefully Seanez Lidge gets the final out and the Phils can score in the bottom half of the 8th to avoid extra innings.
-
I don't see why I should. All I see is bitching, bitching, bitching about the Mets. The NL East isn't that good, your team is going to have a chance until the last week, maybe even the last day to win the division. As much as the Phillies have sucked this season, I never tried to make excuses for them or even the other team. What bugs me is every Mets fan I see places the blame on the ballpark, or bad calls. I'll give you that your bullpen blows, but your team is solid otherwise. Stop acting like God is punishing you. Actually, 23 blown saves is pretty disheartening. I retract my above statements. Bitch at will, because I know I'd be doing the same thing.
