Thanks for the Fish replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Regal and Taylor are badass. I'd take stiff oldschool over the flippy shit so popular these days. There eventual feud with London and Kendrick should be must see as well. Too bad wwe doesn't really care about it's tag team divisions. Regal is a dying breed, can stay over no matter how many times he loses, all it takes is one promo. Other than Kendrick and London, who is Lord Stephen/William and Squire David going to feud with - Idol Stevens and KC James?? Gymini?? -
It depends on the situation, but if it was late night and the order was out of the ordinary or the store was prone to "joke orders" I wouldn't have started preparing it until the money changed hands. If you thorw the orders on when the order is initially made, serve a couple cars a head of them and then by the time the car gets up to the window it is a drive-away, you'd can't uncook the food. Cornette is a douchebag. Outside of the wrestling world he is a nobody.

These salaries are a joke considering how much the boys are on the road and the physical toll their bodies take over a career. Let's hope for thei rsake TNA takes off and becomes a viable competitor. VKM must swim in a money bin like Scrooge McDuck...

Yeah, really a non-issue. Besides Cena has friends in TNA(Joe and Daniels from his UPW days, as well as former wwe guys), and Cena and the rest of the workers realize that having another company independant of VKM and the wwe successful is a very good thing. Cena did throw some barbs, but they were good natured.
-
Putting the belts together side by side would probably be considered "bashing" by the non-fan. The x-division title is pretty bare whereas Cena's spinner is all blinged out. Besides the AJ Pierzynski TNA segment was pretty damn silly to boot. WWE did try to get AJ in to work an angle at WM last year, but he didn't ant to do it because he knew they were only interested because of his TNA bit.

ECW Spoilers for the 10/10 Airing
Thanks for the Fish replied to BorneAgain's topic in The WWE Folder
Actually other reports I have read had Knox attacking Punk after the Dupree match, some say he might have attacked before Dupree tapped causing the DQ win for Punk. Either way, Punk fights him off, and Knox bails and heads to the back while Punk stands tall in the ring. -

I like the fact that Dreamer beat Thorn and that it wasn't some epic occurance, but happened on a regular television match. If you build up a wrestler with a long and noted undefeated streak, the streak gets over more than the wrestler, and when said wrestler finally loses, they're basically back at square one and have to get themselves over again based on character. For that reason I'd like Punk to lose sooner rather than later, but since he's been fighting jobbers his wins are to be expected and the "streak" isn't noteworthy as of yet. -
I wouldn't write off Kash in ROH yet. From what I can understand their only sticking point has been monetary issues, and there is nothing personal keeping Kash out of ROH. I'd LOVE to see Kash in ROH, to work with all of the upper card guys there. Kash is a straight shooter, and has been mentioned, it rubs people the wrong way. He's likely never played politics, and is too old and set in his ways to kiss ass now. Kash and ROH would either be a trainwreck, or he's be this years James Gibson. With burnt bridges in TNA and WWE, if Gabe and Kash got along as swimmingly as I expect they would, ROH could have themselves an "exclusive" upper card talent that if given the opportunity could put asses in the seats and sell DVDs.

What a joke. Kash is a helluva worker and could have easily got himself over as a solid midcard heel if the bookers gave him the ball to run with. The Pitbulls tag gimmick neutered both Noble and Kash, in the latter's case stripping him of his innate heel prickishness. Too bad he has burnt bridges in TNA. I'd love to see him in ROH, but I think his reputation will keep him from there. Kash is old school though, so either they'd get along swimmingly with Kash eventually getting a title reign, or it would be a match made in hell and Kash would disappear after a booking or two.

I haven't seen Scorpio in years, but from all accounts he can still go, though I believe there was a weight issue with him though. In the very least he fits the mould of hiring the wily ring veterans though I can't see him getting too much of a push no matter what brand he lands on. Then again Finlay's got seven years on him and he's still a helluva worker, so maybe he'll surprise me. The 3 years likely means nothing, as it will be the standard 90 day roll-over. I'd actually like to see him brought in to SD! and put in an angle with Booker T, maybe after his Court fails him sorta deal or outside of the Court, he just has an ol'friend take care of Lashley.

Here's hoping that Gabe Sapolsky wins the Powerball Lottery sometime soon. Russo is going to kill TNA. -

So it's Vince Russo and not the timeslot or is it both? One without the other doesn't really do anything for me, but together I think they live up to the hype Dixie Carter was selling. Of course this means that TNA is going to try and out-wwe the wwe, which is a collossal mistake. Vince Russo actually hates actual wrestling from want I can remember, so expect the storylines and characters to be pushed, with the in-ring work becoming secondary. I think going head-to-head with Raw is a solid, if gutsy, move. But if you truely believe in your product it is perfect because Monday Nights is the wrestling night, Raw will have it's regular audience of wrestling fans that might flip over to TNA in the programming lulls or commercials, and if TNA is offering the better program they might be able to keep some of that viewing audience. There is a risk of course that most of TNA's 0.7 viewing audience consists of WWE fans as well, meaning they could actually lose by making the move as VKM and the wwe will no doubt stack Raw to completely bury TNA. TNA's production value from the music, the arena and audience size, the music, when contrasted to the WWE's, will make TNA look like the minor leagues. -
December to Dismember only "worked" because it followed November to Remember, and as a stand alone it's a terribly silly name. I rather they just called it "December to Remember". I can't believe it will be a stand-alone PPV, especially with the cross brand Survivor Series only a couple weeks earlier. I expect certain issues to crop up at SS that will be settled at D2D. Looking at the current ECW roster, I don't think you could make anything near a compelling card. Their money match would probably be RVD vs Big Show, but in reality I don't think anybody would care for it. IF ecw doesn't add another big name between now and then(I'm half expecting Chris Benoit to head to ecw), I might actually go for a Big Show vs CM Punk match to headline the show.

Boogieman was actually fun in backstage segments, but he was terrible in the ring. Of course that never stopped the wwe before, so as has been mentioned, there is likely more to the story. I'm betting he got hurt again, training for his return and the wwe said enough is enough. Marty Wright took a wrestlecrap gimmick and made the most of it. Given he was forty years old when he debuted in the wwe, he had a pretty hot run while it lasted. I think the storyline lost something when he went from some nutter believing his gimmick(which I loved) to actually having special powers to make it rain worms and such.

I think a move to Monday nights and a 8-10 timeslot would be perfect for TNA. Monday nights are wrestling nights, and going head to head with WWE might allow them to steal someof their viewers during lulls in wwe action or commercials. I don't know if TNA would have enough talent for a tw0-hour show though, many 90 minutes would be a better option, either 8:oo-9:3o or 9:oo-10:3o. Another possibility could have them start touring, with house shows and different venues for their tapings. Going live weekly or bi-weekly would be another positive step for the promotion.
