It doesn't, unless Russo is booking. Steph HATES Orton, and Orton's assaulted her. TWICE. There is no way they can have Steph turn without ruining the whole feud due to sheer nonsense overload.

Yeah, well Nancy and Daniel say hi. That's why I hate the whole 'personal choice issue' talking point. People's families don't have a choice do they? Also, it would require wrestling fans to basically ignore the huge body count piling up. There's no proof that their deaths were caused by 'roid rage', but you do have a point about the body count.

This is some good stuff right here. Personally, I'd tweak it a bit maybe, not quite sure what, but I think you've got a decent idea going here if executed properly.

Chris Jericho, I just don't know what to make of him
JPopStarKami replied to zhangmeijie's topic in The WWE Folder
Maybe you just dislike Jericho in general? You've expressed a great dislike for him but you haven't actually made any points why he's not a main eventer, and why you feel he can't carry a title. -
I don't think it would be a problem if the Rock came back for a final match or something. It's not like he'd lose credibility because as it's been said before he's known well as a former wrestler.

Somebody ban this jackass.
-
I was thinking the very same thing. Because he already signed the contract.
-
Even if we ignore the match result, that was still pretty lackluster. JBL is just terribad.

I hope not...but then again, I'm a Punk mark. How would the IC title benefit him at this point? Punk needs it more than him.

Modern day scripting of wrestling vs. the old days of doing promos
JPopStarKami replied to Spaceman Spiff's topic in The WWE Folder
Why? Because the IWC is so used to shitting on the writers that the one time they actually write something funny, we need to totally shit on that, too? Come on, dude. Can't you just say "kudos to the writing team for actually coming up with something funny that wasn't improved by one of the most awesomest wrestlers"? Sometimes I think writing teams get too much criticism, in WWE and TNA. It's not like we are personally sitting in there during meetings. There's a ton of shit that goes into writing a script that 90% of us have no clue about. I guess what he's trying to say is that the wrestlers don't even get to come up with their own humor, and he didn't actually improvise anything. It IS kind of sad, that, if Edge truly didn't give them that line or anything, that the wrestlers are scripted to that extent. -
Meeting Sports Entertainers - Autographs, etc.

I find it funny you recognize Corino and not the Sandman Bob. Why? I just think it's weird for Sandman to be working with Muta, Corino is all over the Japanese scene. That actually took place at the WrestleFanFest at the Cow Palace in San Francisco in Oct of 2007 and you're right the booking for the show was really weird. This was the fanfest that basically fell apart due to the guy putting the whole convention on basically lying to everyone, fucking everything over, and letting everything go to chaos. Big Vision Entertainment who was taping the Friday night wrestling show ended up taking over the booking of the show, but a lot of things got changed even after they took the booking over. It was originally scheduled to be Great Muta vs Ultimo Dragon in a regular match and The Sandman and Steve Corino were suppose to be in this 7 man hardcore match and what I think happen, though I'm not to sure how exactly the story goes, Corino got the main event changed to himself w/ Franchine vs The Sandman w/ Baby Doll vs The Great Muta w/ Bobcat in a hardcore match. The booking for the main event was pretty cool for the crowd cause a lot of surprises happen. Corino and Francine came out and cut a promo for a little while, then the Sandman came out (drunk by the way) and cuts a promo then introduces Baby Doll as his equalizer for Francine. Before the match starts, Baby Doll who is on the outside swings the cane at Corino's feet and Corino gets on the mic and demands that I DQ the Sandman and Baby Doll and make him the winner. I then cut a promo saying that it's a hardcore match, which means no DQ and no count outs. I ring the bell and get things under way then The Great Muta makes his entrance and adds himself to the match. As we wait for Muta to get to the ring, Corino and Sandman are now saying things to try and make me laugh. Muta comes into the wrestling and they all get the match going. There was a cool spot with all three of them and a guardrail, Baby Doll and Francine got into a cat fight where I had to try and pull them off one another, Muta sprayed the mist into Sandman's face, and then just when Cornio is about to hit Baby Doll, DDP slides in and gives Corino the diamond cutter (I actually didn't know DDP was getting involved.). Muta then hit Corino with the Shining Wizard and then locks a STF on him to tap Corino out. The crowd loved it. Does a video of this exist? Youtube, anyone? I'm curious. -
I agree the guy's a good worker, but about CM Punk's pops vs Cena's pops...Cena gets the reaction he does because he's pushed. CM Punk is stuck in the midcard for the time being, but he still gets decent pops. I guarantee you if Punk were given a serious push and freedom on the mic, he could be a top guy on Cena's level in a few years' time. I'm sure most people can agree that Cena draws. The problem is, so far, WWE doesn't seem to be willing to let anyone else step up. In the Attitude Era, Austin had Rock to oppose. Cena has no Rock. And don't even tell me it's Batista, he isn't anywhere near as entertaining, he's horrible on the mic, and he's lazy and stale. I think the problem people have with Cena is there's no one else to step up. The company cannot be carried on the same faces in the main event PPV after PPV, expecting fans to shill out 40 bucks for rematches. I've been watching 1997 lately and they had a pretty fresh main event scene. The WWE wasn't afraid to give different people title opportunities, even if they didn't win. The WWE wasn't afraid to change the title holder and shuffle people in and out of the main event scene. They just need to keep things moving. The Hogan format can't last forever, or the fans will turn on Cena again. WWE needs to be mindful of their fans, and start grooming guys like Morrison, CM Punk, MVP, etc. for the future. Because Cena's time won't always be now, and one day or another, he might suffer another unexpected injury...

I hate that this is what booking a wrestling show has become. Fucking Hollywood. What are you referring to specifically? -

I can't imagine how pissed Vince is going to be when he hears about this leak. How did we get this draft? -
I agree with all except the bolded. Yeah, he was pretty decent. I don't think he's the future of wrestling or anything either but he could have a good gimmick in TNA...if WWE hasn't trademarked 'The Boogeyman' name...
-
He has a right to watch what he wants. Some people separate Chris Benoit the performer from Chris Benoit the man or something like that. It's his right to deal with the Benoit tragedy however he wants, even if you don't agree with him.

http://www.stamfordadvocate.com/localnews/ci_11793293 What an idiot judge. This should have gone to trial at least.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The build-up practically writes itself. "Shawn Michaels has beaten the previously undefeated (har, har) Kozlov, the man who handled the Undertaker like nobody has before! How can the Undertaker keep his WrestleMania streak alive ... against Mr. WrestleMania himself, no less?!" And then Taker beats Shawn Michaels at WM, then gets his win over Kozlov at Backlash. Wheeee... You know, sometimes, no matter what they do, there's going to be a certain pattern to booking. But just because you might have a good idea of how the match will go doesn't mean you can't enjoy it and mark out for it. And you never know, they might pull out a surprise here or there.

Okay, Knox needs a new finisher. That one looks like shit, and it's proven to not even be safe now.
-
I blame the alternating shots. It kills the spontaneous aspect of a cameraman trying to keep up with the action when there was apparently someone waiting in that room for just such an emergency. Eh, I didn't think of it much. It was better than the 'car cam' when JBL tried to run over Cena.

I think it was just the fact that they didn't give him an opportunity to succeed that doomed him more than anything. -

What about CM Punk cashing in MiTB? -
You know what would be awesome? Sometime during this program, Orton punts someone (either Steph or HHH have yet to take one) and starts looking all remorseful and crap, but his expression slowly twists into a grin and he starts laughing. That would be so perfect. I'm not really a fan of Orton acting all 'what have I done' but if they put that in the feud it would more than make over for it, and put Orton over as Satan.
-
agreed...some of his headkicks and stuff have improved a lot and dont look anywhere near as bad as they did, but his GTS has looked real sloppy lately Well it is a hard move to execute properly and I don't blame him when he has to pull it off real quick like he did earlier.

So in other words, nobody know what the hell WWE is going to do. XD At least this makes them unpredictable...
