Another Theory I Have on Brock

If it hasn't been on TV, then he dosen't have it. And he "uses" the powerbombs once every four matches or so. The average Brockberg match consists of bearhug, backbreaker, shoulderblock, F5.

Well, the average Booker T RAW match consists of leaping side kick, back body drop, semi-flying forearm, scissor kick.

The average Kurt Angle RAW match consists of punch, kick, stomp, released overhead belly-to-belly suplex, backdrop suplex, Angle Slam, ankle lock.

So...everybody is pretty vanilla on TV.

I haven't said Booker should be WWE champion, either.

..and at LEAST Booker has shown that he can get over without a God Push, winning every match, and the WWE title.

I'm sick of hearing this "Lesnar has 3 moves" bullshit. By my count:

1. F5

2. Spinning sit-down powerbomb

3. Double powerbomb

4. Bearhug

5. Press slam

6. Powerslam

7. Released overhead belly-to-belly suplex

8. Running clothesline (Standard move, but his has INTENSITY~!)

9. Short-arm clothesline

10. Double backbreaker

11. Shoulder tackles in the corner

12. Spinebuster

13. Shooting Star Press (Yet to be debuted...)

There's a dozen off the top of my head.

.

Good Lord, if they weren't in the same ring last month, I would SWEAR that Brock and Mark Henry were the same guy, because that was Mark henry's offense as well, with the exception of the DDT finisher.

If you're gonna compare Mark Henry to Brock Lesnar, then I'm gonna compare Kurt Angle to...hmm...Ken Patera.

Odd.. I've never seen Henry even ATTEMPT any variation of a suplex outside of the regular one.

Guest RazorxEDGE

Yeah...as always, Anglesault starts off with a somewhat valid point, and then he goes off the deep end. Mark Henry? Good God...

Guest alfdogg

Well, Mark Henry has yet to debut his shooting star press :P

Fact is, the WWE wanted to try to monster push a guy, and the only way to do that is to push him immediately after their debut. They don't have that chance with RVD.

..and at LEAST Booker has shown that he can get over without a God Push, winning every match, and the WWE title.

Yeah, it also took Booker just 10 years to do that. Lesnar, if he was on Heat every week, can get over faster than that, I guarantee.

Here is your list of Brock moves. I've seen marke Henry do

4-6 and 8-12. 13 doesn't count because Brock hasn't done it yet. 1 is a finisher, plus I've see Henry do a DDT anyway.

DDP does 2

Jericho does 3

Angle does 7

Well, that damn spinarooni sure has been given the God push. And make no mistake about it: the spinarooni is the only reason that Booker is over.

That, and the fact that in 2000 WCW needed a black guy to push to the moon.

What is this DDT nonsense? There isn't even a DDT on the list.

Spinerooni gets Booker over.

heyman gets Brock somewhat over.

Deal.

The F5.

The F5 is not a DDT.

It's a fireman's carry lift into a flapjack.

Your point?

Booker hasn't been in the WWE ten years. The WWE's fanbase is largely different than WCW's. People could have CARED LESS about Booker T a year ago. Booker's been jobbed off, stuck in neutral, and forgotten about. Brock was brought in, given lots of airtime, given lots of relatively clean WINS (Booker lacks those, severely), and the WWE title. Which is worse?

*edit*

Spinarooni? God push? HAH! It gets mentioned for about thirty seconds a week. Lesnar got video packages, lots of commentary. I may be dense, but I didn't see the Spinarooni get a video package that was aired every break the week before the PPV, either.

How many guys who wrestle the WWE style have extensive movesets? Add in the fact that Lesnar hasn't wrestled in as many matches as most, and those matches are usually copy & paste squashes/Davey & Goliath matches.

Maybe I'm not paying close enough attention then. I always thought it was a firemen's carry intoa DDT.

I refuse to argue WWE with anyone who has puro guys in their sig.

A DDT? How? I vaguely, vaguely see the resemblance, but that's like calling the Angle Slam a reverse neckbreaker.

Allright. "I refuse to argue WWE with a guy who has puro guys in their sig."

It's for a fucking E-FED CHARACTER. Open mouth, insert foot.

..and while you're at it, resize that grossly huge sig pic, please.

Actually, the first F5 he did in the WWF/E (on Maven) looked a hell of a lot like it ended in a DDT. He should have stayed with that.

The Angle Slam is a Samoan Drop, basically.

It doesn't have to be extensive (Flair, Hart) But it has to be GOOD. And since it's no longer 1987 (By my count) The Bear Hug, shoulder blocks and clotheslines can be elininated.

Alright, well if Brock Lesnar was the first guy to blankly stare at his hand, then spin on his head for no apparent reason in the middle of his matches and building that up as the "The Most Electrifying Move in Sports Entertainment" then he'd be just as over as Book. Comedy gimmicks are relatively easy to please crowds.

I prefer the Rock pancake that he served up at SummerSlam.

..and as I said many posts up the page..has Booker been given anything resembling a world title push? No. Does it matter if his matches aren't stellar if he's in a comedy gimmick? No. Comedy gimmicks aren't required to put on great matches. World Champions are. When Booker gets a world title push the caliber Lesnar has, come back and argue with me.

Then you should give him the title. But he didn't, and he isn't, so you shouldn't.

I noticed a problem with Anglesault's sig. "The Way It Should Be" half has 3 pictures: Austin whacking HHH with a chair, Angle whacking HHH with a chair, and Jericho applying the Walls to HHH. Shouldn't it be Angle whacking Austin with a chair, Angle whacking HHH with a chair, and Angle applying the ankle lock to Jericho?

:)

Why don't you let a 6-something foot tall, 300+ lbs. man ram his shoulder into your gut 5 times and put you in a bearhug before you tell me that. Moves don't have to be flashy, they just need to look CONVINCING. And Brock Lesnar shoulder blocking a guy is definately more convincing than a Stone Cold Stunner.

If Brock had shitty-looking offence, then I'd agree, but he doesn't. Every move the guy does looks BRUTAL. I don't care if he isn't a technical wizard, he just has to make it look like he kick a guy's ass.
