Guest Steve J. Rogers Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Yeah, Dawn is such a tool. She was pretty hot last night, but her nose is just grose looking. She looks like a pig of some sorts. I find it amazing that some people will find anyone on TV hot, especially youngish actors and watch a show because of her, i.e. Michelle Trachtenberg, and if you poll hardcore fans of the show Dawn happens to be one of the least liked characters, even amongst males, or males that look at more than just T&A Steve
The Dames 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2003 I did like the throwback cheerleading outfit from "Witch". I love when they do things like that. Dames
Guest raptor Report post Posted March 12, 2003 I agree with everything YNA said about Season 4. As an entire season it was somewhat boring, but it has some of the greatest individual episodes, IMO: Yoko Factor, Hush, Fear Itself, A New Man, This Year's Girl, Who Are You, and Superstar would make up a good part of my Top Ten. Guest red_file Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Taste is, of course, a very personal thing. I find Michelle Trachtenberg attractive and can't understand the appeal of SMG. Xander and Oz tickled my fancy, while Spike and Angel left me rather cold. I thought "Him" was a rather fun throwaway episode. I'd say that it was better than "Showtime" and "The Killer In Me," if only because it had no missteps. Amusing, light, and, as Dames mentioned, contained a few nods to previous seasons which are always nice. The quad-screen alone was worth it, imo. But, again, taste is rather personal. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Youth, do you get all of your info on Buffy from Buffyguide.com? I only go there when I don't know something before hand or can't look it up in a BUffy book. When I ran off season 4 eps I just got episode names and then the content just came to me. Buffyguide is a good site.

Guest Crux Report post Posted March 13, 2003 There are alot of Buffy books made from episodes--I think thats what was meant by Buffy book...
Guest JMA Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Last night's ep, Him, was probably the worst of the season. It was such a lame duck episode, and didn't make much sense. Since Willow is gay, Xander would of fallen in love with him too. I don't think that makes much sense, unless the jacket spell was only towards women. Whatever, I didn't really like it. I think it only worked on women. Anyways, Willow CAN be attracted to men. I never got why she was said to be "gay" in the first place. She only fell in love with one woman. I think she's more of a bi-sexual. I mean, she was clearly attracted to and in love with Oz. Speaking of Oz, I miss him a lot.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Will also had a slightly massive crush on Xander. See Buffy Seasons 1-3. The gay thing is just weird. I guess someone could go totally gay like that, but Willow didn't really seem like the "pretending to be straight because she's in denial" kind of gay. Anyone gay who can shed some light on this? It just seemed like such an abrupt turn to me.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Not to mention that Willow began having feelings for Oz again when he returned later on in season 4. I miss Oz too. I wish he'd come back for at least the final ep.
Guest Cavi Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Disregarding some stuff from like this season and whatnot, I always got the feeling that Willow simply loved Tara, in that she wasn't really turning into a strictly homosexual person. Like JMA said above, she loved Oz. And Oz does indeed rule.

Guest red_file Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Disregarding some stuff from like this season and whatnot, I always got the feeling that Willow simply loved Tara, in that she wasn't really turning into a strictly homosexual person. Like JMA said above, she loved Oz. That's always been my stance, but I do think that Willow believes herself to be gay. She's referred to herself as gay several times (the wedding episode and the episode where she's fighting with Anya about Xander) and in the episode where her and Amy use their magic in the club she has eyes more for the women than the men. Not to mention that she seems to be as attracted to Kennedy as Kennedy is her. And your more zealous fan might point to the foreshadowing with the vamp Willow from the wish universe who had same sex tendencies. I think she thinks she's gay, and that's probably good enough to call her gay for the time being. And Oz does indeed rule. Indeed he did. Certainly my favorite character (though, yes, Faith, mmm). Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Buffy book? Is that the book thats like "Fans guide to Buffy" or something like that? The only Buffy books I have are the first 2 Watchers guides. The first one covers season 1-2 in depth going into great detail about everything, and the second one covers 3-4...they're pretty cool books for Buffy marks really. As far as Willow being gay, I don't like the way they did it. I would've accepted bi easier, and that Tara was such a special exception that she had to play the field...the whole nailed Tara now I'm gay thing was poorly done. Guest Cavi Report post Posted March 13, 2003 And your more zealous fan might point to the foreshadowing with the vamp Willow from the wish universe who had same sex tendencies. I remember she lets out the line "And I think I'm kinda gay" when talking about Vamp Will in that ep. And a cool little tidbit - she says that exact same line in "Tabula Rasa" in Season Six. Great episode, that is.
Guest EQ Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Yeah! I also loved Tabula Rasa (and also the similar episode on Angel when they all forget who they are. the name of the ep escapes me though). "The Wish" and "Doppelgangland" are also two of my favorite Buffy episodes. I am a fan of alternate dimensions and "what-if" stories, so it was really cool to see that alternate Sunnydale. And then when they brought back Vamp Willow, it was just cool. The end to that episode, when they send her back to her dimension only so she can get dusted, was hilarious. I love humor like that. Guest JMA Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Let's also not forget that vamp Willow and vamp Xander had a thing going on.
Guest Cavi Report post Posted March 14, 2003 (and also the similar episode on Angel when they all forget who they are. the name of the ep escapes me though). That would be "Spin The Bottle" from the current season. Ep was written and directed by Joss.

Guest Mole Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Will also had a slightly massive crush on Xander. My ex-girlfriend said the reason she "turned gay" was because of what Oz did to her. He made her so upset, she just turned against men in general. I watched "The Gift" on Friday, and out of all of the season finale's, this was by far the weakest one. There was just something missing throughout the whole episode, but I don't know what it was. It had a great last 10 minutes, but other than that it sucked. Then I watched "Bargaining" and there was just a different feel for the episode. Once again, I don't know what it was, but something didn't feel right. I also noticed that Joss didn't write this episode, and he always writes the first and last episode of the season. Does anyone know why he didn't write this one?
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Joss has just slacked big time the last couple years. Had he been more involved in season 6 maybe it would have been better. And The Gift was kind of a weak finish. I think zero people wanted to see Buffy sacrifice herself for the every annoying Dawn. Also had a little bit of a season 3 & 4 reek of building up to this huge big bad...only to kill them so easily. Although Giles kicked ass going heel on Ben. Guest Cavi Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Joss most likely didn't have the time to pen and direct Bargaining. He wasn't on the set for Season Six (sans OMWF, of course) because of his other commitments. He has said time and time again though that he was there to break the stories with the other writers. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 16, 2003 *bites lip* *body shakes* *face turns red* *steam comes out of ears* YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF FUCKING MORONS! ...... .... .. . Whew. The Gift was an AMAZING eps. It took all the things they built up in the previous episodes - from buffy bot, to spike, to 'death is my gift', to the war hammer, ben and glory, just EVERYTHING, and let it all come together in the end. Guest Cavi Report post Posted March 16, 2003 *pops back into thread* I agree, Rudo. It's by far one of my all time favorites. On a related note, I'm praying to Joss that Beck scores the series finale. He must~!! After Season Four, he said he would do one ep every season thereafter ("The Gift", "Once More With Feeling"), so I assume he is doing it, but I have yet to hear any word. Guest Kingpk Report post Posted March 16, 2003 It's been said before, but I think some people didn't like the Gift because Buffy didn't start to jump, stopped, said "fuck it" and pitch Dawn into the portal instead.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 16, 2003 LOL that would have made season 6 so much better.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted March 16, 2003 That would suck and ruin a season's worth of build. Grave owns Graduation Day Part 2, btw.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Actually no it doesn't. Grave kind of sucked in the way that it was slow, plodding and confusing even for me.
