Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

And I am still trying to figure out how Dawn gets to kick Buffy out of the house? She stands up to a hellmouth possesed cop and all of a sudden she owns the damn place.

Now that I think about it I want Dawn dead first, Rona is a worthless annoying bitch, but Dawn is getting a little big for her britches and would be the better example to use to show what happens when you stand up to the general.

I'm going to talk in storyline terms here, but Buffy HAS to get her assed kick sometimes.

For example, in the DDP/Taker program from the InVasion summer. Taker dominated the whole feud, and it didn't look like DDP had any credibility.

Just think if they did the same with Caleb, it would suck balls. I think it would be cool if the First actually won, but we know that won't happen because Angel's world would hault too.

Ok, either nobody has any ideas, or nobody cared enough to speculate on the answer to my question. With the magic that is copying and pasting, here it is again:

What ever happened to finding out the meaning of , "From beneath you it devours," being a big key in defeating the First? This last episode was the first time I've heard it mentioned in quite some time. And even so, it was only by some guy the cops were hauling in as Willow was doing her less than funny version of the Jedi mind trick bit.

(doing multiple quotes here from different people, since I just saw the episode)

They kicked the only person willing to sacrifice EVERYTHING for the good of the world.

Well, ya know, except the one time she decided to sacrifice the good of the world for Dawn, until she got the First Slayer flashback. Boy, what a decision that was too. Leave the world defenseless, let the demons take over, just as long as the little energy ball can have an existance. Sure, the Scoobies had the Buffybot(ugh) active by the beginning of Season 6, but Buffy didn't know that.

And I'd be willing to bet that if faced with a similar decision now, she'd still sacrifice the good of the world for Spike.

And let's not forget Faith kills people, you'd at least think Xander, Willow, and Giles would recall that.

Well, if Buffy can have her deranged idol worship with Spike, the rest can do it with Faith. Not to mention that Faith hasn't killed since season 4, and voluntarily stopped. Spike was killing this season, and was trying to kill just last season when he thought his chip had stopped working. Not to mention that Spike was forced to stop killing, it wasn't just that he realised how wrong it was.

Rona and Dawn: Sure, their deaths would be nice, but we still have to have Kennedy drown in a pool of her own blood first.

One final comment: I did like how this episode was the payoff (or starting building up to the payoff) for Joyce's "She won't choose you" line to Dawn in CWDP.

Edit: One final final comment, that I forgot: About the WWE/Buffy writers conversation...I could see it working, if only because HHH and Spike hog about the same amount of screen time, so it wouldn't be too hard for them to write for one character and one character only. Yes, that's right, I did just say Spike = HHH.

Yes, I DID have to go there :)

I still like my idea...

Drown Faith, then quickly revive her...drown the new slayer...then quickly revive her.

Like in season 1, you only need to be dead a sec for a new Slayer to be called. This would bring a slayer army upon.

Or something like that anyway

I always wondered why they never did that. Just get a bunch of atrophy (I think thats what its called) it kills the slayer for a few seconds, then they revive. Have a whole army of slayers.

It's TV. That would be too easy.

It's like asking why they don't just resoul every vampire using the spell they used on Angelus.

I thought the Ubervamp(s) were the "beneath you"

So it was supposed to be literal? I hope not, because that would be Uber-lame. The first third of the season or so made a really big deal about it, but after that there wasn't a mention of it.

Alright from season 3, "Amends", when the First was fucking with Angel, there were these X-Mas trees that were dead. Buffy then went to the demon bar, asked that guy, and he told them "it kills everything it is underneath." Buffy remembers these trees, goes to where they are, gets down there and kills the Bringers.

Same idea here, where ever the Bringers are doing their shit, is where the First is getting its powers. So find that spot, stop the Bringers, end the First.

Just a thought.

Caves are underground.

And 'From Beneath You' simply refers to the hellmouth and all things corresponding to it, I think. It's not metaphorical.

I think it has something to do with Bees.

Suggesting a Candyman guest spot?

I think we all know of Joss's Tony Todd obsession.

That was season 5 in the episode "Fool for love" I beleive.

The one where Spike explains to Buffy how he killed 2 slayers and that every slayer has a death wish...just like she does. He was right to...she chooses death at the end of the season.

I was watching BBC America the other day and saw a commercial for a show called Manchild. Well guess who one of the stars of this show is. Yes that's right...none other than Giles.

The show is on right now for those in the eastern time zone.

Manchild is like Sex in The City...but with old British guys. I watched one ep, that was enough for me.

I watched "Prophecy Girl" the other day, and the show has changed a whole lot. Not just the look of it, but the acting and dialogue. Joss has defiently improved his writing skills big time.

What you didn't like seeing flabby white british man ass? You didn't care for seeing Giles walk around bare assed?

A sex in the city type show from a man's viewpoint, I could potentially get into it. However, it takes awhile to get use to british sitcoms. Serious british comedy isn't easy to get into at first. By serious i mean no giant feet and dead parrots, because I love the bizarre british comedy like Monty Python.

Alright, alright...here is my off the wall theory of the week.

Dawn Gets a message from SOMETHING about Buffy not chosing her at the end...(BTW, It couldn't have been the First cause it was knocking her ass all over the house...remember the whole can't touch anything clause) THEN in Potential, After Xander gives Dawn that wonderful speech about her being special, Dawn says "Maybe thats your power...to see." THEN Caleb says "Well, you're the one that sees everything...lets see what we can do about that." Coincidence....I THINK NOT!!!

Not that I really have a theory on how all this ties together, but Dawn is probably going to play a BIG part in this all before it is over.

Just so you guys know, upon the end of Buffy: Season 7, if this thread goes over 2000 posts....when the discussion ends, it will go into Classic Threads. Only fitting.

So it will sit in the Classic Threads forever? Like we can post anytime still?

And Dames, you should be proud of yourself, you started this thread.
