UPN thinks so lowly of this show. If you think about it, NBC would never do this to Friends on its last season. WB wouldn't do this to Buffy either, so fuck UPN.

Well, just to be fair, I'm sure UPN would treat it better if it's numbers weren't dropping.

 

Plus it was the local channel's decision to pre-empt for basketball, not UPN's. It should be shown again sometime, probably in the middle of the night.

UPN often moves preempted shows to Saturday since there's not shit on UPN on Saturdays. Well that's what they do with Smackdown.

 

WB would've done the same thing if they had games they could show. Sports events are bigger ratings usually so any small network like UPN/WB would pick basketball playoffs over Buffy.

As much as it pains me to say this now that there is finally have a hot lesbian on the show...

 

Kennedy has to die.

 

We all saw what happened the last time Willow's girlfriend was killed...and after hinting at her going all dark pheonix again this year they simply can't pass up pushing her to the brink to see what she'll do.

 

Also...the First should fuck with everyone tonight. I'm talking send Tara to Willow to fuck with her. Send the MAyor to Faith to fuck with her. Those are the two things that I really want to happen.

Willow's only with Kennedy out of convience, I'm still not sold on the whole lesbian angle. I could take Tara as something so special to her where it happened, but after that it would have been better to leave her options open.

The third to the last episodes and such haven't always been that good. Season 2 was Go Fish and people love that season.

Anyway, this episode was decent, but it basically just built the plot some more. Buffy is getting better when it comes to fighting Caleb, and Spike is there for her.

 

OHHHH, Angel is back next week, so that is going to change. However, my prediction is that Angel is actually the First, fucking with Buffy.

I marked out so much for Mayor Wilkins. I was also happy when Spike let them have it for kicking Buffy out. You could see them all hang their heads in shame, they know they messed up.

 

I just knew Buffy would find some magic dues ex weapon. I guaruntee it's like been there since the first slayer and has uber powers to defeat The First. Been there all this time and it took them like 7 seasons to bring it up. Lame.

Hmm, wonder if Buffy will go at it alone now and just dump the traitors (well, whatever ones are still alive come next week, unless Faith whips out a pair of cutters and snips the wire in 2 seconds).

 

Also, I think she's justified now to say "I should have done this 2 years ago" and lop Dawn's head off with that holy axe thing.

Wilkins' appearance was such a markout moment. I was so hoping for that, and thankfully, they did it. I missed his name in the opening credits, as I was too busy with my cereal at that moment. Wahoo for me, I guess.

 

As for the rest of the ep, it was decent. Nothing too mind blowing, though the Spike/Buffy scene was great. Buffy finding some uber weapon was sort of expected, but I don't know, it felt kind of lame how it was done.

 

At least it looks like some SiTs will be dying it next week. Kennedy was just f'n pissing me off when she was getting all up in Faith's area.
