WDI got rid of all of their back pages past the first page in each folder back in late August, which in the process got rid of a couple good threads and posts I wanted to save for myself.

 

The Quality vs. Fun threads was also lost in the purge and for some it's best that they were.

well fuck! i used to have a blast skimming through the old wdi files. back when people gave a shit about wrestling.

I wanted to save my "20 Greatest Wrestlers of the last 20 years" post which was probably my second favorite post that I had posted at the board with my "History of the fall of the NWA" post which I did save.

 

The other thread that I felt was one of the best in WDI's Wrestling folder was the "Most Controversial Angles" thread which spanwed over 50 some posts by various members of the board. It was a good day to be a wrestling fan that day at WDI.

 

However, the one post that I did get pissed at myself for that was deleted was the "Dream Matches" thread which I honestly cared about and posted the matches that I would have loved to have seen been made:

 

The Destroyer (1975) vs. Ric Flair (1989)

The Steiner Brothers (1990) vs. the British Bulldogs (1984)

Billy Robinson (1972) vs. Bret Hart (1994)

Curt Hennig (1986) & Ricky Steamboat (1983) vs. Freddie Blassie (1964) & Ray Stevens (1967)

 

I had made many other matches up that I had wnated to see but those are the only ones that I can remember.

 

That was a very fun day for me at WDI when that thread was created.
