Guest Vern Gagne Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 Smackdown has the better show and talent, but who in your mind has stood out on the HHH show. IMO...Chris Jericho. He's always busting his ass no matter all the crap he's gone through. His matches are usually the best on Raw. Reward Jericho and put him back on Smackdown.
Guest creativename Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 Jericho by far. Few would dispute that.
Guest NoCalMike Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 I would put RVD at #1 since he is the only wrestler that Smarks and Marks collectively care about right now. He is the only wrestler currently that even has a remote chance to break through the hated glass ceiling yet right now even that looks like a 1 in a million shot.
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 I like Christian. I'm going with Christian. He always manages to pull off his promos perfectly. His wrestling is above average too.. even in the WWE style of each wrestler hits there spots then go home. I opened this thread with Jericho in mind, but seeing as how everyone else already said him, I want to be different.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 HHH I vote Booker T, of course. Consider that his matches hold up even though everybody knows the guy isn't going to get a push. Meanwhile, WWE can only put off not pushing RVD for so long...
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 Agreed with Jericho. Though he, BookerDust, RVD and RNN (maybe Nowinski) are the only real options for such a distinction, Chris is consistently putting on good-sometimes great performances. He's the only reason I watch RAW at all these days.
Guest geniusMoment Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 Terri, just because I find it funny that they degrade her every week. Be it being covered in some sticky liquid or someone like Jericho spitting apple at her. I wonder who in the company hates her so much. She is constantly in bra and panties or lingerie matches and always ends up losing in a humilating way
Guest Si82 Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 I gotta go with Jericho. He and Christian have been the only highlight of Raw recently.
Guest BA_Baracus Posted December 9, 2002 Report Posted December 9, 2002 Jericho. He's probably the most consistent wrestler on the show (his matches are always decent, even if he hasn't had a really great one in a while) but more importantly for a show like Raw, he's the best on the mic. He's funny and makes all the horrible skits written for him seem half-way watchable. Other than that...RVD is always at least watchable in the ring, and Goldust is always entertaining...at least when he gets on TV that is.
Guest CanadianChick Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 RVD honorable mentions: Jericho, Booker T
Guest midnight_burn Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 I'd have to agree with Chris Jericho, he's one of the few things that keeps me interested in Raw, he always manages to entertain me.
Ultimo Dugas Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Who better than Kanyon? But in all seriousness, I'd have to agree with just about everyone else and say Jericho. His backstage skits have been entertaining as well as his good in ring performence.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Jericho. I have really taken a liking to Goldust as of late though. I've always been a fan of Dustin's, but lately he's kicking it into another gear.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 The Raw MVP is all of us. All us dummies that still watch this shit and give them a 3.0+ rating...what were we thinking? We're smarter then this. Seriously...Jericho, he's the most over heel in the company, no matter what HHH wants us to believe.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 I'll throw in a nother vote for Jericho. I'm a Jericho mark (I know, who'da thunk it?) but I still think he goes out there every night to bust his ass while he and Christain cut some of the funniest damn promos around. In a related note, does it seem like no one in the front office is giving a crap what Jericho says on air, so he just tries to be as entertaining as possible? The spitting apples, the Vitamin C, the Huge...Rock Star? Gold, Jerry, gold!
Guest Mole Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 I would put RVD at #1 since he is the only wrestler that Smarks and Marks collectively care about right now. He is the only wrestler currently that even has a remote chance to break through the hated glass ceiling yet right now even that looks like a 1 in a million shot. RVD is the only wrestler that the SmarKs and MarKs care about? What about Booker T? Don't get me wrong, I like RVD, but there are other people who both group of fans about. My vote goes towards Booker T. He is the main reason that I tune in everyweek to watch Raw. Granted, there is RVD, Jericho, and Goldust, but Booker always seems to give it his all. Plus, it looks like him and Goldust are going to win the titles at Armageddon. Well, it looks like it, but this is the WWE we are talking about.
Guest DerangedHermit Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 There are a few: - Jericho and Christian - Booker T and Goldust
Guest bcu1979 Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Anyone on RAW who still works hard to entertain the fans is an MVP. The show seems to have no point for existence other than to put over Triple H as "the man" every week. It's a credit to most of the guys on RAW for not completely half assing by this point. RVD is the most over but I'd say Jericho because they give him crap to work with every week but he and Christian still do their best to make their stuff entertaining.
Guest eirejmcmahon Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Booker T and Goldust - stretching right back to the horrible abortion that was the nWo in the WWE, these guys often stood out as the only thing worth a damn on Raw. When I finally stopped watching Raw, these were the only guys I missed having on the tv.
Guest notJames Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Steve Austin For a guy who's not even on the program, they show an awful lot of footage on him. And he's always entertaining.
Guest FeArHaVoC Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Jericho's getting my vote, he's the only reason I'm still watching Raw. Plus, he's been the most Consistant with Matches, Promo's, Segment, just all around Entertainment. RVD & Booker T get my second Vote. They've been there since the beggining of the "Roster Split." They've put up with a lot of Crap. Austin/Taker squashes, nWo, nWo politics, Bradshaw and Kane pushes, Triple H & HBK, and all the bad storylines and jobs. Yet, their still two of the most over guys.
EL DANDY~! Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Jericho has put up with too much crap since the year started...my RAW MVP. Second place goes to RVD, who had the World title won TWICE...but was rebuked both times by those young'ns...the Undertaker and HHH.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 GOLDUST~% i dunno why, i just find it funny that he's actually in the company for one, and funnier that he's kicking ass at the same time. I HATED the guy in 99, but then the IC scene back then was full of the dullest wrestlers on the planet and i've taken that image away. I don't really know what RVD's done to grant being the best worker on there. Jericho is my favourite wrestler in wwe so i have to mention him too. Booker's great, christian is growing more and more mediocre, nowinski rocks, rico's ok and that's about it, i think.
Guest chirs3 Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 Rob Van Dam and Jericho are the MVP's. I watch Raw for other guys too... Booker and Goldust, for example, but RVD and Jericho are the two that are consistently entertaining, no matter what.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted December 10, 2002 Report Posted December 10, 2002 meh, i used to like rvd a fair bit, never his biggest fan but he's just become stagnant really, going through the motions and disregarding everything his opponent does at the end of the match to hit the frog splash. Just dull.
