Guest JMA Report post Posted February 12, 2003 Do you plan on throwing in people on the extreme left who are as worthless as those on the right you just mentioned? Far left is as lame as far right. As long as Alan Colmes, Donohue, Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw, and other left leaning, non productive, rhetoric spewing people are there with Coulter and co. count me in. Sure. Throw 'em all in there. Let them try to work together. We can put a bunch of pundits in the Middle East and see who survives. The winner (read: sole survivor) gets to come back. Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I like it, Dreamer. I'm a little hesitant on Coulter because while she's a Right wing wench, she's not bad looking. But I've heard her stance on some issues and I agree: make her beg like the rest of em!

Guest JMA Report post Posted February 12, 2003 Coulter seems like she got kick any of the other's ass. Syeah right. I bet Coulter is a total pu$$y when it comes to actually backing herself up. I would pay to see her get gang-banged by some Arabs.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I don't see the hate for Rush, I can understand Coulter and Savage but Rush tends to leave his religion behind, except on abortion and education. I've never heard him (and I listen to him a lot) say anything as extreme as Coulter and Savage. Rush is just a Republican radio talk show host. Hannity I ingore because I've yet to hear an original thought come oout of his head, he's just a pretty boy party liner. EDIT: Oh yeah this thread is supposed to be about President Bush's leadership skills. I think he is a great leader, he gets things that he wants done and shapes, not follows public opinion. He is very much like Reagan in that respect and very different from Clinton. I love how insecure Liberals have to call Bush stupid, when the only basis for such claim is his lack of public speaking ability. Last i checked public speaking ability has nothing to do with inteligence. If it did then The Rock would be a genious and most PHDs would be stupid. Hydrogen and electric cars will never work because people don't want them. Ford dropped their program for them because they were losing money. The puplic decides what they want to drive, Bush's environmental policies do not. I also fail to see what he has done to damage the environment. He hasn't done anything to it. I don't see how Bush has pissed away sympathy simply because it was never really there from the countries who aren't with us now. France and Germany have always been against us no matter what, right until it's time to go and then they jump on board to ride the gravy train. I think that they are selling missile technology to the Iraqis and that's why they are so against the removal of Saddam, it has to go beyond pacifism, sweet heart oil deals, and anti-Americanism, they know that if they don't come with us then they won't get any of the economic benifits from the liberation of Iraq. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I've never heard him (and I listen to him a lot) say anything as extreme as Coulter and Savage. Rush is just a Republican radio talk show host. Rush is damn near impossible to debate anything with and is a huge egomaniac. When he lost his hearing the other year, that level of irony hadn't been seen since the days of the greek tragedy plays. Also, here was one of the first skits he did that took advantage of the TV format when he finally got on the air there: "You probably know about Socks, the White House Cat..." *picture of Socks appears to one side of Rush* "But did you know there's also a White House dog?" *picture of Chelsea Clinton appears to his other side* Keep in mind that Chelsea was something like 14 years old when that happened. Did she really deserve that? I think my brain exploded when Rush, who's not exactly a looker himself if you get the drift, was comparing the President's teenage daughter to a dog just because she appearantly doesn't hold up to his standards of attractiveness. Guest Some Guy Report post Posted February 12, 2003 By extreme I meant the shit that Savage says about Muslims and what not. Rush made fun of Chelsea Clinton, so what? So did Mike Myers on SNL. I've heard planty of people talk shit about Bush's daughters and there is no outrage.
Guest JMA Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I don't have to be insecure to call Bush stupid. I (like many others) truly believe it. If people have a problem with that, screw 'em. I'm getting really tired of labels like "liberals" and "conservatives." I may even change my sig. That being said, I can't stand people who insult so-called "liberals" so much that they even insult them on their book covers.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted February 12, 2003 Explain why you beleive Bush is stupid. I'm really curious. Is he stupid because he disagrees with you politically? Why do you "truly believe it"? Or should I chock this one up to you only being 17 and not knowing anything?

And shortly thereafter on, Rush apologized. He even told Hillary last year face-to-face that he regrets making that joke (I'm surprised he didn't turn to stone in her presence). As much as I like Rush I felt he was out of line when he said that, and a lot of other people, including many of his fans, also said so -- then and now... Or should I chock this one up to you only being 17 and not knowing anything? I will gladly explain why. But I assume you have already judged me anyways. I find he usually does not know what he is talking about. The man has no knowledge of the many religions America has. He called the Wiccan religion "witchcraft" for robot's sake! Not to mention he "creates" holidays to push his agenda. He created the National Santity of Human Life on the anniversiry of Roe v. Wade. That reeks of stupidity, pandering, and condensation. Not to mention the guy is terrible at speaking and has been known to "make up" words. He was also a bozer until his forties and got all Cs in High School (but was put in the Ivy Leagues by his daddy). Then there is the fact that he executed over one hundred people as govenor of Texas (a VERY stupid act). Add that to the fact that he really sucks at civil rights for gays and African Americans. He is even taxing the lower class and cutting taxes for the upper class. I disagree with him politically, but I don't think he's too bright either. You can disagree with those who are smart, he just isn't. I expect you will now quote some of the accusations I made and attempt to disprove them. While I don't see how this will accomplish anything, I will, nonetheless, go along with it.

Or should I chock this one up to you only being 17 and not knowing anything? I will gladly explain why. But I assume you have already judged me anyways. Not really, I don't think you are very knoweldgeable about politics but that's about the extent of my opinion towards you. The man has no knowledge of the many religions America has. He called the Wiccan religion "witchcraft" for robot's sake! And you have full knoweldge of every religion in the country? I doubt it and neither do I. I don't give a shit and maybe the President doesn't either, but does that really make him stupid or I or you stupid? I don't think so. Not to mention he "creates" holidays to push his agenda. He created the National Santity of Human Life on the anniversiry of Roe v. Wade. That reeks of stupidity, pandering, and condensation. No that reeks of a political statement. President Bush does not approve of Abortion and wishes that it were not legal, which is a perfectly acceptable standpoint, not one I agree with but whatever. I'm sure that no otehr President has tried to use his power to implement his agenda, certainly not every single fucking one of them, but they must also be stupid, right? Or is it just Pro-Lifers who are stupid? Not to mention the guy is terrible at speaking and has been known to "make up" words. The speaking has nothing to do with inteligence and the made up words are a part of his poor public speaking ability. Although he does himself no favors with them. He was also a bozer until his forties I assume you mean "boozer." So enjoying to drink makes you stupid? Or is it regonizing that you have a problem and then overcoming it by yourself that makes him stupid. got all Cs in High School (but was put in the Ivy Leagues by his daddy). I did poorly in High School as well, it's called not trying. Take up Yale and Harvard's admission policies with them. Then there is the fact that he executed over one hundred people as govenor of Texas (a VERY stupid act). Bush executed over 100 people? Is that so? revisionist history and ignorance are bliss. Over 100 people were tried and convicted of 1st degree murder inTexas while he was Governor and sentenced to death by a jury of their own peers. Bush did not pardon anyone, but that couldn't be because they were guilty, could it? Or is this more "he doesn't agree with me so he's stupid bullshit"? Add that to the fact that he really sucks at civil rights for gays and African Americans. In what way? Because he isn't in favor of the racist policy called affirmative action? Or because he's against gay marriages? Which is a political and religious belief of his and perfectly valid one at that. He disagrees with you so he must be stupid. He is even taxing the lower class and cutting taxes for the upper class. This is just fucking stupid. A totally ignorant statement. Everyone who was being taxed got a tax cut under Bush's plan. EVERYBODY!!!!!!! Upper class people recieved a larger monetary tax cut because THEY PAY MORE TAXES!!!!! Why can't you people wrap your heads around that concept and cut this "tax cuts for the rich" bullshit out when it is clearly untrue. I disagree with him politically, but I don't think he's too bright either. OK, now give a logical and non-politically motivated reason why you think he is stupid. You can disagree with those who are smart, he just isn't. Why not? I want valid reasons. I expect you will now quote some of the accusations I made and attempt to disprove them. While I don't see how this will accomplish anything, I will, nonetheless, go along with it. I just did and it's your turn to "go along with it." I can see that you picked up your debating skills and logic from Rob Stone, because your post read like one of his. You've baiscally said, "I think Bush is stupid because I disagree with his politics and on top of that he just is." I think and hope you can do better than this. Guest treble charged Report post Posted February 12, 2003 got all Cs in High School (but was put in the Ivy Leagues by his daddy). I did poorly in High School as well, it's called not trying. Take up Yale and Harvard's admission policies with them. Now, I'm not a big Bush fan myself, but I really don't think he's 'stupid'. However, brushing off the fact that he got Cs in high school because he 'didn't try' isn't a very good defence in my eyes. I mean, this shows me that he is something of a slacker, which isn't nescessarily a bad thing, but I'm not sure if I want a slacker leading me into war. Guest Some Guy Report post Posted February 12, 2003 A semi-valid point, that's nice for a change. TC can people change? Can you be a slacker in your teens and then grow up and mature into a workoholic, which by all accounts teh President is? Or do you subcribe to the theory that "a leopard never changes his spots"?
Guest treble charged Report post Posted February 12, 2003 I suppose it's possible to change, but I wouldn't really call Bush a 'workaholic'. He seems to spend a lot of time at his ranch in Texas, and while I'm sure he's not out riding horses the whole time, it's probably not the easiest place to get all of his work done, which, as President of the United States, he has a lot of.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted February 13, 2003 He's up every day early in the morning and takes fewer vacations than the previous President who had more than horses to take his mind off his job. Going to texas probably makes it easier for him to do his job because that's where he is most comfortable, he hates DC and I can't really blame him. BTW, what does "Office Glen" mean? I've wondered that for a while.

Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted February 13, 2003 Well I wouldn't say Bush is any more stupid than the general public, but I also don't think it would be a stretch to say he is not as intelligent as past presidents. He has surrounded himself with a regime of guys that should have been retired from politics years ago, sanz Colin Powell. He ran as a compassionate conservative yet has hardly shown the "compassionate" side. Public speaking I guess should not get chalked up under "stupid" yet, you would have to be somewhat dumb by not trying to improve at it.

Well the tax cuts were very compassionate, everybody got a check. I disagree that most of them should have retired years ago (Rumsfeld is the man), although many of them had before Bush was elected. He has tried to improve his speaking and it shows in his formal speaches but his regualr sound bites are pretty bad sometimes. At least you gave a reasonable response. The puplic decides what they want to drive What makes you think "people" don't want them?? I would agree that at this point there is so little knowledge in circulation to the general public about electric cars that people may be nervous about them, but to say, people don't want them because they don't work is foolish. We put people on the moon for crying out loud, yet an electric car would not work!?! If our government/automobile manufacturers were commited to making them, they would work. If millions were spent to advertise how great they are, people would buy them. Ok my break is over.........
