Guest nikowwf Report post Posted March 27, 2003 There is a Best of SIMPSON / MOORE cd? And one of you is listening to it? Wow...thats so......scary. =) jk Is there anyone here who thinks they won't script the battle? I'm sure its scripted, or at least generally set up. I just hope Fabulous is not in jail before then. Advice to him...leave the gun at home or get a damn permit already. niko
Guest Banky Report post Posted March 27, 2003 Are CJ, papa, and I the only ones to listen to rap in this thread? *looks around* Guess so. *raises hand* I'd like to see Blackalicious go up against Cena. He'd outclass Johnny C-Note on so many levels. Gift of Gab is the MC, Blackalicious is his group.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted March 28, 2003 NAS LACKS CONTENT?!? I would like to hear your interpretation of One Mic. Nas is full of shit, says ignorant shit and people buy into him being deep. HE'S NOT DEEP. While I may harbor some animosity towards Jay-Z for various reasons, every criticism that he has made of Nas has been true.
Guest papacita Report post Posted March 28, 2003 NAS LACKS CONTENT?!? I would like to hear your interpretation of One Mic. Nas is full of shit, says ignorant shit and people buy into him being deep. HE'S NOT DEEP. While I may harbor some animosity towards Jay-Z for various reasons, every criticism that he has made of Nas has been true. I agree that Nas comes off hypocritical ("Is it Oochie Wally or is it One Mic"), but to say his songs lack content, or even to say that he's one-dimensional is ridiculous. Guest Bruiser Chong Report post Posted March 28, 2003 While a lot of Nas' stuff seems to be "black power," it's done in a intellectual way and most of his stuff is packed with stuff that you don't usually find in most hip-hop. He deviates from the norm a lot and drops a lot of knowledge in much of his work. Maybe you don't like his message, but it's silly to claim that his work lacks content. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Why do people keep pretending that Anglesault is supporting the cat fight girls? For fucks sake can no one read? The first thing he did was blast the WWE for employing the whores, Limp Bizkit and this guywhile WRESTLERS aren't WRESTLING in their place. Then he said he hates the rap battle more than the cat fight...and suddenly he's president of the Miller Light girls fan club. It's really hard to respect people's opinions when they can't even fucking read. At least the tramps will have a "match." Looks like he's advocating it to me... Main Entry: 2ad·vo·cate Pronunciation: -"kAt Function: transitive verb Inflected Form(s): -cat·ed; -cat·ing Date: 1599 : to plead in favor of synonym see SUPPORT - ad·vo·ca·tion /"ad-v&-'kA-sh&n/ noun - ad·vo·ca·tive /'ad-v&-"kA-tiv/ adjective - ad·vo·ca·tor /-"kA-t&r/ noun I NEVER said I wanted th whores on the show. I NEVER argued that they should be on there. I said I'd take them Fabolous. Lesser of two evils. This coming from the guy with an Aerosmith logo in his sig. Nuff said. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And ALL shitty bands last 30 + years. By the way, this "You don't like rap, you racist ass" argument is racist itself. So only black people can rap? And the only thing black people are good at is rap?
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted March 29, 2003 He deviates from the norm a lot and drops a lot of knowledge in much of his work. He also makes stuff up and comes off sounding ignorant. I'm not saying that he doesn't try hard to sound smart, but sounding smart and being smart are two different things. Oh and Anglesault, shut up. No one's talking about you anymore.
Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted March 29, 2003 You know all the people that say Nas is on some "black power" shit all the time need to hear some of his earlier work and not just the past three singles off of his latest albums. In fact, someone show me where the "black power" message is in "Made You Look." These are the same people that call Ma$e a fraud. Go listen to him when he was Murder Mase along with Killer Cam (ron) and Big L. He was LETHAL before Diddy put a shiny suit on him and made him flow over 80's disco samples. The (War) Lox wasn't having it that's why they jumped to Ruff Ryders. through the lights camera action glamour glitters and gold i unfold the scroll plant seeds to stampede the globe when i'm deceased by then the beast'll rise like yeast to conquer peace leaving savages to roaming the streets live on the run police paying me to give'em my gun trick my wisdom with the system that imprisoned my son smoke a gold leaf a whole heap nonchantly i'm raunchy but things i do is real it never haunts me while funny style niggas roll in a pile rooster heads profile on a bus to Riker's Isle holding weed inside they pussy with their minds on the pretty things in life props is a true thugs wife it's like a cycle niggas come home some'll go in do a bullet come back do the same shit again from the womb to the tomb presume the unpredictable guns salute life rapidly that's the ritual how someone can say that is some "black power" shit or lacks content is beyond me.
