The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Bubba wasn't on the Mania card because he's injured. He still could have done a run in or a backstage segment, which he talked about in his first article. Also, as a former ECW guy, he's got a lot of ties to the 1wrestling crew. Dames

Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 2, 2003 He still could have done a run in or a backstage segment, which he talked about in his first article. Yeah but the wording in the first article makes it pretty clear he should have had a match. The whole thing reeks of BS anyway. I find it very odd someone on the road like this would reply and make a new column like the very next day. I mean, how many wrestlers in the WWE even bother to do a column as themselves? Hurricane and Lance Storm is all I know. But here's someone who, out of no where, after one day of feedback, is apparently going to start doing this. And like I said, he must not be that worried about his job if he is going to do this on a regular basis. If the WWE higher ups took notice after ONE DAY imagine then I would be really scared of doing a regular column.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Didn't the Dudley's compete on Raw though? I know D'Von did most of the in ring work. Dames
Guest candie45 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 It's gotta be fake. WWE for sure would find out who's writing the column and "willie" would be in big ass trouble. It sounded so fake too... way too smarkish. I could even possibly see this as a one time venting opportunity, and even that is far fetched. But to start a column the day after? Yeah right. If it was real though I'd still have to say Snow. Smaller guy, not on Mania, ECW, been in the business for a while, I don't know about the merch but.... A one time venting situation is fairly reasonable, but this is just silly.

Guest Basswitch Report post Posted April 2, 2003 I still think its Richards (see my post on the second page as to why) Also if ECW had a lot of connections to 1wrestling then Stevie did too, seeing as he was in ECW.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted April 2, 2003 I wrote him an e-mail. I told him that I wasn't sure if he really worked for the WWF, but that the articles were good, and the WWF was no doubt reading them which is what we all want. I also asked him to write about HHH and Kliq politics. Even if he is not real it will be entertaining. I'll let you guys know if I get any kind of response from him. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Here's what Meltzer said: This is going to surprise a few people but here goes. I received the same thing, and like Bob Magee said, the person writing it said he was sending to me because he didn't like Scherer and Ryder (who he sent it to, and I'm figuring he wrote them saying he didn't like me--typical wrestling con). The idea of printing something anonymous like that is mind boggling. I've gotten tons of stuff from guys in that company and they say who they are but know I won't print their names because that's the business. This came anonymously and I did later find out it was from a wrestler that I know a little (and really didn't like Scherer at least in the past) and... It is legit. Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Willie The Worker Bill DeMott Billy Gunn William Regal (what other "Bill"s am I forgetting) Billy Gunn wouldn't make sense. Bill DeMott has sold absolutely no merchandise. William Regal couldn't have been on the card if he wanted to. It's just for alliteration. I don't think its Test. I doubt he cares that much for the business to write in that. I would guess it was Christian who sent that in. Even if he didn't care about the wrestling business that much, he could still be frustrated if he was busting his ass for basically no reason. I would say Christian, too, but I don't really believe it until a person actually comes out and says that it was them. And if it is real, the guy would likely just embellish the little details everyone's picking at to throw people off, while not impacting the general message he's trying to get across. I think it's fake, but maybe it was FUNAKI~! He's on Smackdown, been with the company a long time, and I am assuming that his "Evil" and "Smackdown Number one announcer" shirts have probably sold something. It's just too much of a stretch for me to believe Funaki wrote this. I know he can speak English, but if he wrote it, it would just blow my mind. Plus he always seems so happy. On a related note, if anyone in the company would have a reason to be pissed off, it would poor Funaki. I like the fact that they played this joke. It makes me feel better about myself that there are sad pieces of crap out there that think they are being clever by trying to fool people on the internet who they never met by making up stuff. Yeah, if someone palyed a joke, they're really a sad piece of crap. I am waiting for the day that something big does happen where they get the scoop on April 1st and everyone just farts all over it figuring it is a joke. They'd just wait until April 2nd. Or when it comes true, they can say they told you so.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Plus the only shirt Regal had never was released publically and was only sold on ebay
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 if its fake or not, it really got our heads nodding. Agreed. Hell, the dude's got three pages going so far. Steven Richards - has been with the company for a while. He is Raven's best friend, which is why i first thoguht of him from the last article. Plus he is a huge fan of wrestling and has watched it since the years of sable (storm said somthign like that in one commentary) Plus, his role on TV is as Victoria'a bitch. He is only introduced in mixed gender matches, and hardcore ones. Which commentary? Since he's getting a decent push now, because he's with Victoria, I don't think it's him. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 2, 2003 When has Christian sold any merchandise period in the past year? And since we don't know who this is (although all his hints have left it either as Jeff Hardy or Hurricane), why do we believe them? Hogan has said a lot of stupid shit about the wrestling business and we blow it off because he's Hogan and he says stupid crap. If he posted his typical nonsense under an anonymous avatar, would we believe it quicker?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Interesting... Christian is getting alot of Play right now with the Smarks, He wasn't even involved on Raw in the last weeks or so other then a Steiner squash or being second bannaa with Jericho. Goldust is the only guy I see having the balls to do something like this...
Guest GameCop Report post Posted April 3, 2003 I'm pretty sure it's Chris Jericho. Obviously, Jericho was featured in a high-profile match at 'Mania, but I feel like he might be echoing the frustrations that his colleagues harbor; this, of course, makes it harder to deduce the identity of "Willie." Chris Jericho hasn't written any commentaries on www.chrisjericho.com in awhile, not to mention he's got a degree in journalism. I can definitely see him typing away on his labtop. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted April 3, 2003 You think Jericho is really that willing to risk his career? All someone has to do is give just a little too much information and they're gone. I'll just keep an eye out for any layoff postings.
Guest GameCop Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Jericho is headstrong and not afraid to speak his mind. Don't forget -- he's already said on countless occasions that he's already accomplished everything he wanted to in wrestling. I doubt he would care much if he was fired; he has his own band and could always go back to Japan or Mexico if he wants to continue his wrestling career. And from what I've heard, he's planning to retire in a few years anyway, so I don't think Jericho has a lot to lose, here.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Yeah Why would he be MAD NOW? He was given a prominent Match at WM with his Idol...Hasn't been BURIED in the last 5 months...Has been rotuninely seen in Main Events...He has become the "Popular" guy in WWE...He started his Christian Wrestlers Alliance with Shawn and the other guys... It's not Jericho...Likely, It's not a real person... Goldust, Christian, Storm and Hardy are the only ones I buy from Raw.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Christian makes sense. He's been with WWE for five years, is somewhat small, yet sold a lot of merchandise when he was in E & C and constantly cuts awesome promos, only to be squashed by Steiner and ignored. Jeff Hardy could work, too.
Guest humanoid92 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 I doubt it's real, and whlie reading it, Christian is the one name that popped into my mind. But here's some food for thought: Ric Flair. What if it's him? Reports have said that he's unhappy with his position in the company and is jealous that Hogan is getting all these last hurrahs and he's stuck being HHH's lackey while Trips does a poor impression of him in the ring. It would make sense for him to stick up for the younger guys too. And that line about how some of those guys couldn't lace up his boots would definitely be something Flair could say. And I know he did appear at the PPV in HHH's corner, and "Willie" complained that he didn't get on screen. I know that kind of contradicts the whole thing... but maybe Flair wanted a match. Shawn got one. Hogan got one. Vince got one. Piper returned in a surprise moment... Flair was stuck in HHH's corner. I doubt it's him (or anyone), but just something to think about. Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Hell, anyone is a possibility, really. But, I'm of the mindset it's one of the younger guys. I mean, why would Flair use "Fart!" as an exclamation?
Guest candie45 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Well, I decided to e-mail the guy for the hell of it, and I told him I didn't think he was really a WWE superstar but I agreed with his points and asked about his views on politics. He replied 20 minutes later with a simple, "Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it."
