Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted April 13, 2003 Why is it a bad thing? Why should a top team have to play a better opponent in the second round if there are multiple upsets? It's bad enough that lesser teams get higher seeds for winning a division. Say the six and seven seeds both win...then you're setting up 1 vs. 4 and 6 vs. 7 in the second round. That's not fair to a team that worked hard to get to the top of the standings all year, and it potentially creates a less-desirable conference final. I like what the NHL has done...it works for the structure of their league.

Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted April 13, 2003 Monday night. When? Am I missing RAW?
Guest treble charged Report post Posted April 13, 2003 Probably starts at 7, so by the time Raw comes on, the Flyers will be long out of the game, anyway. Watching Raw would probably be less painfull.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 13, 2003 It is good to see after Friday night that you Leafs fans aren't suffering from crippling depression. You do show signs of having delusions of granduer, but that is ok. And watching Raw is less painful than nothing.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2003 BOSTON (AP) - A goalie change could be the Boston Bruins' best chance to climb out of a deep hole against the New Jersey Devils. Jeff Hackett, sidelined since March 15 with a broken right index finger, might replace Steve Shields on Sunday after the Devils took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven playoff series with a 4-2 win Friday night. tsn.ca

Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted April 13, 2003 RAW will be joined in progress on TSN after the hockey game is over, and will be shown in (almost) its entirety at midnight.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2003 i think its the other way around. i think that they are showing raw in its entirety, and then replaying the leafs-flyers game following raw.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 13, 2003 I'm going to miss RAW anyway because I'm going to Game 3 so if they're showing the replay at midnight then yay

Guest starvenger Report post Posted April 13, 2003 The Leafs/Flyers game is on CBC. TSN will show another game (Wings/Ducks?) That sounds about right. Mind you, I'm forced to watch ESPN, where the only advantage they have is Barry Melrose's mullet. Melrose's mullet > Cherry's typical attire.

Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted April 13, 2003 Boston flat out sucks- I don't think their coach is keeping his job next season technically, they don't have one. They have a general coach.

Guest cartman Report post Posted April 14, 2003 Exactly, they need a new GM too IMHO. Boston doesn't suck, they just aren't a good matchup for the Devils. Not many teams are for that matter. The Devils' top scorer would rank 5th on the Bruins team. They have no Offense at all they win by playing 90% defense and capitalizing on the other teams' mistakes. Every Devils game is like 1-0, 2-1, 2-0 etc. Their team is built specifically for that and for the most part it works. I would definitely pick them to go to the finals this year as long as they can keep healthy.
