"My favorite player is Tracy McGrady. I like K-Mart over Duncan simply because he entertains me more than Duncan even though I know Duncan is light years beyond K-Mart."

i started off the next post with "seriously" because i wasn't being serious when i wrote the first sentence. just a bitter spurs fan that saw his team play like shit but almost got the win.

"Yes and no. He's a good player.. a really good player and in the future he's only going to get better. We know that. Defensively he's been great against the league's MVP. After 3 blocks from Duncan, K-Mart STILL got the rebound and the ball. He wanted it more than Duncan."

ever hear of the 3second violation???

"He held his own against Duncan tonight and he's been doing it for most of the series."

yes and no. if you look at the point totals for the last two games... possibly. when you see how the spurs have made him force up too many shots for a subpar shooting percentage then probably not. plus, kmart isn't holding his own. the double, triple and quadruple teams are holding their own. kmart doesn't get that kind of attention because he isn't deserving of it.

"He hit the last two he shot that counted the most (giving the Nets a 3-point lead). He had an off night from the line. That not common from anyone, even if you're the best free throw shooter in the league. "

once again, a line of jest pointing out tim duncan's only glaring weakness. and i think you meant uncommon.

I didn't mind that K-Mart declined being help up by Duncan, its the playoffs Duncan shouldn't be helping him up anyway. There's some tension now so it'll make more intresting and compelling basketball. This game was ugly but it was still exciting. That was good design play for Manu and it was good D by K-Mart to come out far from where he was originally to alter Manu's shot.

Regardless of the poor shooting by both teams, I loved how Game 4 came down to the last seconds. A must win for the Nets. Kenyon Martin saved the Nets tonight. It was like whe was willing his team to come back. Kidd made his free throws and we have a tied Series. It's any one's series.

I love the trading of wins so far displayed by both teams. The Nets have shown vast improvement over last year's team, which I don't think they realized that they can paly with anyone until it was too late against the Lakers. Well, the Nets are playing with no fear. Not a team to let back into a series.

Tim Ducan is also playing some amazing ball, but his teammates pulled a disappearing act again. See what I mean that the Spurs have this tendency to let teams back into the series. Duncan will need everyone on the same plan in order regain the momentum.

I am hoping this will go to the deciding seventh game And I think that it is a very close thing to becomming a reality. We will see. But I will have faith in the Nets and pull for the upset. Go Kidd, representing tha Bay Area once again in the Finals.

I see nothing wrong with Duncan trying to help him up.

duncan helping him up is representative of a guy who is a class act. flyboy and i are in agreement on this one. ya know, i have a feeling that when the spurs win this thing, kmart would be totally classless ala the pistons and walk off the court without shaking the other team's hand. that is the kind of vibe that asshole gives me.

K-Mart's temper tantrums don't bother me as much as Mutumbo's shit. The guy is almost 200 years old and he still pisses, moans and points his finger like he did something special with his career. Ugh.

This series will, without a doubt go seven games.

The Nets pure determination will make sure it goes seven. But whether or not they are just fighting against the inevitable is another thing.

You know the more I think about it, the more the Nets winning wouldn't be all that bad. I like Tim Duncan and the Spurs, but they're the main reason for this so called NBA baskeball being played. The Nets at least are usually a good fast break team. They try to score. The Spurs don't.

This isn't me back pedaling on my Spurs pick. I still think they'll end up winning. I've just grown tired of the boring style the Spurs play.

The Nets need to do something to keep those guards from penetrating the paint so easily. It killed me evertime I saw Parker, Ginobli and Claxton effortlessly running down the middle for either easy layups or passes to an open man.

That said, hooray for the Nets! Ugly or not, a win is a win. I don't need high-scoring games, as long as the players play as a team, and that's what we've gotten so far from both sides.

Go Nets!

I missed the game but I'm glad that this is turning out to be a competitive series.

Kenyon Martin did NOTHING that would classify him as a asshole last night, or in this series. It is the finals. It is US vs THEM, and to crucify Kenyon because he isn't all about hugs and kisses for the other team is ridiculous. When Mutumbo and Rodgers started bitching and getting in other players faces, who was the player coming over and telling them to keep thier head and play ball. Kenyon Martin. When the Nets went down in the fourth, who got the team hyped back up with his purely aggressive play...Kenyon Martin.

That play where Duncan blocked his shot twice and he still got it the third time (BTW, if he was shooting, it can't be a 3 seconds call) is what REAL basketball is all about. Its about who wants it more. Duncan has abused every guy that has stepped to him in the playoffs except Kenyon Martin. Most of Martins fouls come from fouling guards at the rim.

When he didn't want Duncan to help him up, he was right. His teammates should have been over there helping him. When this series is over, win or lose, he will be the first one over there hugging the other team telling them good series. People complain all the time about overpaid atheletes not giving their all. Well Kenyon Martin gives it his all every second he is on the court. Just like TIm Duncan, only he does it in a different way.

And Byron Scott...his inability to supstitute properly is going to cost the Nets this series. He got NOTHING from ROdney ROdgers except bad shot and bad fouls...He got NOTHING from Jason Collins except..well...nothing. Aaron Williams has a AMAZING first half. Mutumbos Defense spurs your fast break...so who do you thinks gets the majority of 4th quarter minutes when Martin is in Foul Trouble. Rodney Rodgers...not Aaron "I'm pretty much responsible for the lead we got earlier" Williams. Rodney "I haven't done anything all series" Rodgers. HORRIBLE.

You are definitely not the only one. I think I woke up my son last night with all the hooting and hollering I did after RJ threw that one down.

So glad RJ finally got his game on and started contributing again.

Guest Smell the ratings!!!

I have my doubts about Jefferson, but he sure knows how to go to the hole, that alone can make you a 10 year starter.

Spurs need to make the 3 pointers to force the Nets to stop using the Zone Defense. I would start Manu instead of Jackson to stop Jefferson from making all of those dunks. And the second somebody shoots bricks I'll bench them.

HORRIBLE half by the Nets, mediocre half by the Spurs.

My prediction: The Spurs blow their little lead, giving the Nets the lead. The Spurs will make a run in the 4th quarter, but the Nets will hold on to win. This will happen... unless the Spurs just decide to blow the Nets out. The Nets can't play the zone at all.

If anything fits the term "fugly", it's this game.

Nets will comeback, though.

Jason Kidd has taken more shots than 50 Cent.
-- Chris Rock

That was gold.

And I just got a good shot of J. Kidd's son... That's all I can do.

I think the Spurs should play Kevin Willas to play some hardball, just don't let him shoot.

I think its time for the Spurs to start shooting outside shots, the Nets are jamming the middle preventing any guard layups and giving Duncan trouble.

I guess the board was down during the game but the throwbacks didn't mean jack as the Spurs WON!

Steve Kerr made a guest appearance and he made the most of it; hitting a 3 and some big shots to seal the deal.

Outside of game 3 against the Lakers, the Spurs could be 15-1 right now, but missed free-throws and turnovers cost them some games.
