Guest Trivia247 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Earlier today, we posted a message from WWE.com that informed fans that Jeff Hardy was no longer a part of WWE. This should really come as no shock to anyone who has been following the 'net. Several months ago we had reported that Jeff was showing up late to both television and house shows. It had become evident that the road was taking it's toll on Jeff and that he no longer wanted to work for WWE on a full time basis. WWE tried to give him some time off in hopes that he would rest up and be ready to go again, but it never worked. Fans of Jeff Hardy need to remember that he never had the passion for wrestling like his brother Matt. Jeff is now at home and can do what he wants with his life. Like WWE.com said, we also want to wish Jeff the best of luck with future endeavors. He's brought us so many great memories. Take Care, Ryan Clark - Owner & Webmaster of ProWrestlingSCOOPS.com! AIM Screen Name: PWScoops Clark
Guest HartFan86 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Good Riddance. Never liked him anyways. Even when he was supposely the next 'Shawn Michaels.'
Guest Burning Hammer Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 There doesn't seem to be much compassion on this board for Jeff Hardy. This was the same guy that was killing himself putting on TLC matches that most folks raved over after seeing. How many countless injuries did he suffer because of this? How much pain did he wrestle in just to entertain us? His in ring work has been crap as of late but that is no reason to cheer his firing. He is just one example of what pro wrestling can do to people. Within 5 years he has turned from a healthy looking young prospect of the future into a pale skinned burnout whose future in wrestling is cloudy at best. Cheer Jeff Hardy's firing because he needs to get away form the business.
Bored Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Any word on screaming girls, who still thought Jeff was straight, burning down the Titan Towers? Oh and I wonder if Matt shows any form of protest at the Smackdown tapings tonight.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Hey, remember that time Jeff and Christian tried one of their zany get-rich-quick schemes when the WWE was in Hawaii where they found a treasure map, and it accidently got in the hands of Crash Holly and Funaki, so the two groups went all over the island trying to out-wit each other and find the pirates gold? And then it turned out it was one big prank pulled by Edge and Matt? Oh, that was good fun. And how about the time Jeff decided to play detective to find out who stole Matt's shoes? "Sherlock Hardy" LOL! That was fabulous; he had a pipe and everything! It turned out that it was that big bad Bradshaw, and when Jeff tried to 'nab him' he ended up getting raped in the shower. Good times. Good times.
Guest Trivia247 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Too Paraphrase Raven... Lets Genuflect on our Favorite Jeff Hardy moments in the WWF/WWE...... (Hears the crickets in the distance) anyone....
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Then there was that time when Jeff pretended to be a doctor and tried to go into the locker room and give the other wrestlers physicals. Man, that was HILARIOUS.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Oh that crazy Jeff and all his wild antics... will they ever stop??
Mecha Mummy Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Jeff's gone, huh? It's a pity, he used to have a real future, but he degenerated into nothing, and damn, all that paint.... See ya, Jeff, hate to say it, but you won't be missed.
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 poor trish, who will she have to talk about boys with now? Molly's a virgin....jazz is a man...victoria's taken. thats the real travesty in all this.
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Like it or not, WWE gave him all the chances in the world. Hopefully this will let him explore more options in life and not go the route that some ex stars go.
David Blazenwing Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Wonder if they'll still push the book. Matt still wrestles, so why wouldn't they?
Guest Trivia247 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 hell wait till Wednesday We may see Jeff try to run in during the TNA X championship
Guest Pigsy Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 poor trish, who will she have to talk about boys with now? Molly's a virgin....jazz is a man...victoria's taken. thats the real travesty in all this. Don't worry, Bradshaw will be back soon.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Wonder if they'll still push the book. Matt still wrestles, so why wouldn't they? When Hogan was on the shelf and they weren't sure if he was coming back, they still pushed his book.
Guest mach7 Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I'm betting, regardless of whether or not he wants to be a wrestler anymore, that he DOES end up in TNA. It has a lighter schedule. Plus he doesn't have to abide by any written contracts. Plus, I don't see this "Peroxwhy?gen" band raking in the dough - especially since they don't even have audio samples on their site - has anyone even HEARD this band?
Patty O'Green Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Does Jeff still get a percentage of any of his merchandise they sell?
Guest WukenBloodstar Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I'm happy to see Jeff Hardy go..another great moment. (*Marks it along the X-Pac firing*) Now if only they'd fire Albert..
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 *cackles* I second that. Bye bye Jeff. Now to de-rail Ass Train..
Yuna_Firerose Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Plus, I don't see this "Peroxwhy?gen" band raking in the dough - especially since they don't even have audio samples on their site - has anyone even HEARD this band? They haven't made anything, to my knowledge, because of Jeff and Shannon's schedules. I feel for Yuna, I don't know how she'll move on. Do we have to take turns being on Yuna suicide watch now. Who wants the first shift. Puh-fuckin'-lease! Yes, he's hot, but that doesn't mean I'm going to cry over his firing. His matches were sloppy and short, and he wasn't interesting to me. Of course, I'm not the usual teen girl. Not caring for makeup, fashion, or Jeff Hardy. What's next, liking a psycho video game fanatic? Oh, wait......never mind Just be glad I'm not as diluded as a member of this group I'm in: Jeff Hardy was the main reason I watched Raw each week. I know he has had problems with punctuality, but if WWE is so concerned about ratings, then why fire a guy who gets some of the biggest crowd reactions each week? They could make concessions to him like they do for The Rock and other "marquee names." I am not at all happy about this. Ratings for Raw will continue to decline because of this move. That........is......scary. My reply to him: Uhh..I hate to say it, but Jeff, in case you haven't noticed, has been REALLY sloppy in the ring lately. 'Biggest crowd reactions'? Yeah...mostly from the women. And......Jeff really wasn't that much of a ratings draw either way, especially the way his matches have been. Yes, he's hot as all fuck, but that doesn't mean his firing is the end of the world. That may just be my Smart Mark self talking, but it's the truth. His firing is the best thing for him, really. He was burnt out, unmotivated, and just uncaring. Maybe the NWA lenient schedule would be better for him, that is if he's still interested in pro wrestling.
The Dames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Now if it was Stevie Richards and Victoria...THEN she'd cry. Dames
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 the person that watches RAW each week for Jeff Hardy... IS A GUY~!
Yuna_Firerose Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Now if it was Stevie Richards and Victoria...THEN she'd cry. Dames Well........not so much for Victoria, just for Stevie.
Guest the pinjockey Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 "They could make concessions to him like they do for The Rock and other "marquee names." " That is GOLD. Any Hardy mark, no matter how big, that could compare his stature to that of the Rock is just in desperate need of some help.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Ya know yuna, i nearly responded to those "what will yuna do" statements. I mean fuck we all know you love Stevie not Jeffrey, what are those people thinking.
Yuna_Firerose Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 "They could make concessions to him like they do for The Rock and other "marquee names." " That is GOLD. Any Hardy mark, no matter how big, that could compare his stature to that of the Rock is just in desperate need of some help. Exactly. He replied to my reply, for anyone who cares: I agree that some of his matches have been sloppy and he does seem to have lost interest in wrestling to a degree, but WWE makes concessions for some superstars and not to others, which is unfair to everyone. Rock gets paid an embarrassing salary and takes months off at a time only to come back and be given a main event match on TV and at Pay Per Views. On the April 7th Raw, the highest rated quarter of the broadcast (9:45-10:00) featured Rock vs. Jeff Hardy. He does have an impact on the ratings. His firing is not the end of the world, but I won't be watching Raw as much now that he won't be a part of the show and I suspect others feel the same way. That...is just sad. Ya know yuna, i nearly responded to those "what will yuna do" statements. I mean fuck we all know you love Stevie not Jeffrey, what are those people thinking. Thanks.
The Dames Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 So you know...thanks to Yuna's banners, I can honestly see Victoria and Stevie getting it on in the back after their matches. Speaking of Victoria, I put in the No Mercy 2002 DVD in last night and watched some of the extras. There's a post match interview with Victoria where she talks about her loss to Trish. She talks about how hard she worked to get into WWE. "I came in as one of the Godfather's Ho's....then he put me through a table. I went to developmental camp for a while and worked my BUTT off to come back here and face Trish...cuz we have a lot of history." I found it pretty damn funny that she acknowledged her history. Dames
Guest ViciousFish Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 I decided I was gonna try the Peroxwhy?gen site which apparently is pronounced per-oxygen. WTF!?! But the real point to this is they have a forum with a bunch of people in total denial about Jeff being fired. The last post I saw was something to the effect of "Severed their ties doesn't mean fired."
Guest Cap'n Spaulding Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Well this just sucks! Figures as soon as it seems Jeff was getting a role they can him. Fuck you Vince.
Guest ViciousFish Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Looks up and prepares for the flames.
