Tricky. Dace is the fucking devil when it comes to nasty spots, but Janus writes early, often, and well. I think Dace is still adjusting to the SWF, so I'll predict Janus to take the win. But not by very much.

Craven's been floating around the undercard for a long while, and he hasn't got very much to show for it. Hopefully WC wins here and jumpstarts a program that will generate some interest in the undercard.

 

SINGLES MATCH

Frost vs. Jay Dawg

 

Frost and JD both lost at Battleground, and I think Frost is definitely the more motivated of the two in this sort of match. I'm not sure what the Frost/JD win/loss record is, but I think Frost will take this one handily.

 

HARDCORE MATCH

TNT vs. Beezel

 

TNT wrote a damn good match for PPV, but he always gets down on himself whenever he loses. Beezel's primed and ready to move up the card and might do it here at TNT's expense, but Taylor always surprises me when I think it's a given he'll lose. No prediction.

Danny wrote one of the best finishes I've ever seen for Battleground. Neilsen is out of his element in a submissions match, except for the aforementioned nutstomp. Barring a sudden lifting of the DQ rule, this is Danny's match to lose.

-I think winning the US title would give WildChild a nice boost. I still say Craven should try to move on as the US Title is becoming just as much of a crutch for him as the Hardcore Title was. I would like to see a run in by Ejiro.

-I haven't faced off with JD in awhile and our two previous matches were hardcore encounters in which he won. I would say that a singles match favors me and I'm a lot better now than I was even six months ago. Still, I feel a little deflated from the ppv and don't have a gameplan at all figured out yet. Jay Dawg, if he shows, will eat a guy with problems like that for breakfast.

TNT vs. Beezel

-TNT is my boy, but Beezel is top notch. I'd almost call it a push, but things have a way of creeping up on TNT and halting his top notch writing skills, Beezel has shown to be consistent and without distraction in his writing.

I can't see any way for Strangler to win this without making the World Champion and World Tag Team Champions look like total jobbers and I don't actually picture Strangler to be the Undertaker type. I say a total schmozz of some sort to set up a mid month title defense for Tom leading to the next ppv.

Another very interesting match. Dace is a dominant hardcore wrestler, and has proved it repeatedly in the JL. However, Janus sure as hell knows how to write hardcore too. Hard call, but I'll take Janus to retain. Don't think it'll be long until Dace gets that HGC strap, though.
