RAW is live this Monday night from the First Union Center in Philadelphia! Catch all the action starting at 9/8 CT on The New TNN!

We already know about two of the huge encounters that will take place this Monday night, as booked by new RAW co-General Manager Stone Cold Steve Austin. Goldberg will battle Christian in a Steel Cage Match! And, in the main event, Chris Jericho goes one on one with Kevin Nash!

Plus, the other RAW General Manager, Eric Bischoff, said during a telephone conversation with Linda McMahon last week that he'd be forced to "one-up" Austin. What was Bischoff talking about? What else does Stone Cold have up his sleeve?

These questions and much more will be answered on RAW, starting at 9/8 CT Monday night on TNN!

Note: In Canada, WWE RAW will not air on TSN at its normal time due to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. RAW can be seen immediately following NHL, at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, followed by encore presentations at midnight ET/9 p.m. PT.

So, what are the odds on Goldberg spearing someone through a weak section of the cage?

Any takers for the overall ratings to be 3.5?

I'll be positive and go 3.7

How much is Raw not part of my Monday night ritual anymore? I accepted an invite to go see the late showing of X2 tonight withough even thinking I was going to miss Raw.

Way to captivate your audience, Vince.

Oh, and I go with 3.3.

So, let's see...

1) No Booker

2) Jericho has the unenviable task of making Nash look good

3) More Bischoff/Austin "hilarity"

Oh, boy, we're in for a fun night.

Fuck Goldberg, fuck Nash, fuck another authority-figures-battling-each-other angle. No Booker, Christian and Jericho going to be squashed...I'll pass.

I'm having my room's floor redone so my TV isn't in there, and I'll be at a late class. Sure, there's the living room TV with the VCR, but I doubt it will be worth taping.

Aside: when I read this thread's title, I immediately thought of the King of the Hill episode where Hank Hill kept yelling "No! It's bait and bait! Bait and Bait!" Good stuff.

As for that silly little show called RAW. I'll be firmly wedded to the Nets/Celtics game on TNT. Vince and Co. can go eat their own shit.

Is hockey on tonight?

Since I'm on the West Coast, I will check the live threads to see if the last hour is worth watching when I get home tonight. I'm not holding my breath for a Lita-sighting.

Canada will never see the show because the Stanley Cup Playoffs will go to 5 Overtimes :)

I really dislike this direction of David vs Goliath matches, I just hope that Christian nor Jericho become baseball bats.

Well, since I'll be at work as usual I'm going to record it. I'm not holding out interest that it'll be anything more than amusing in a "like watching little kids fall down" sorta way. Painful and you know you shouldn't laugh, but you just can't help yourself.

From a few weeks ago....

WWE is working on "slowing down" their in-ring style to help cut down on injuries. Agents have been working closely with talent on changing their styles to a slower one.

Vince McMahon even spoke to much of the roster at Backlash regarding the changes in style. WWE is hoping to deliver a style that isn't as risky and dependent on big bumps and "spots." Instead, they want to carefully book the matches to tell a story.

Since then,

Rey gets killed by Big show

Team Angle Vs Guerrero's in a ladder match

Jericho gets booked in a match with the king of the death Power bomb

and poor Christian gets booked in a steel cage match with the Career Killer

I can just see the spectacular story that Nash and Jericho will tell: Jericho tries in vain to escape Nash's wrath but can't and gets his ass powerbombed to hell.

Watch your backs Misawa and Kawada.

Don't forget having Goldberg do a jackhammer to Bisch in a beer soaked ring. That just screams safety.

I still say that Jericho will either pin Nash by means of help from HHH, or the match will end in a no-contest.

As for the cage match, I have no clue.

I hope Jericho just takes nash down with a front facelock and refuses to let go. That would rule!

Lord of the Curry- Love the pic.

And I don't particularly care about Raw. I'm going to a Sushi bar tonight.

I'm so glad its in Philly tonight.

I can't wait for Ring of Honor & CZW chants, as well as them booing Kevin 'Chicken Legs' Nash right out of the FUC.

Ah...the irony.

Oh, how many career has Goldberg actually killed? I can name one, Bret Hart. For a career killer, he has a pretty clean record huh.

Let's see...Jericho gets beat by Nash, and we et another HHH-Nash brawl. Bad.

Goldberg gets booked right again. They've actually made the booking of Goldberg work so far, apart from the Rock match. Showing his power in spurts, destroying midcarders, stuff that looks brutal and gets crowd reactions. A cage match is perfect for Goldberg...should be ok.

Probably a Hi-Lite Reel, a White-Boy Challenge, more Austin/Bischoff segments. Maybe one half decent match. Meh, I might as well watch...

Plus you can't forget about Goldberg bragging about breaking La Parka's leg in a (semi) out of character interview. So while that didn't kill a career, it still doesn't help.
