# Bill Goldberg will not be working this weekend’s Judgment Day PPV. Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy are said to not be working the show as well. Many are looking forward to the split-brand PPVs so that all main eventers will get a chance to work a PPV.

What the hell is this...Are they doing this to make sure Goldberg is ok after the beer incident last week and ditto for Mysterio's wrist (?) after the BS (pun intended) match at Backlash? And no Matt Hardy? He's not injured AT ALL....

:hm:

With Rey Rey they're working the injury angle.

With Mattitude they just don't care.

With Goldberg maybe they want to make it so we were right

I don't think so.

They're talking about wrestlers, and for everyone except the main event/upper midcard guys who are always on PPV, the split-brand thing is good. It ensures that Rey, Version 1.0, and other midcarders always get a PPV spot on their brand's PPV...

Maybe Vince wanted to bring in Goldberg just to see him fail and get the Goldberg fans to shut up about bringing him.

Why not? He did it with WCW during the Invasion.

So you would rather see Nash & Steiner as opposed to Matt Hardy & Rey Rey? Right now the main eventers are crap on both shows (except for Brock), and only the split PPVs will get the midcarders we like on the card.

but didnt the Goldberg-Christian match pop a really good quarter hour rating on Raw?

ehhh, nevermind, its all booked as a Vince jerk-off anyway...no sense in paying attention to what the paying customers might want to see. ;)

People like to bitch all of the time about everything without thinking.

It is pretty simple.

Goldberg doing a PPV in a lower card match hurts him more than not being on the PPV. They are saving the HHH and Jericho matches for the summer. Hence, no opponent for Goldberg Sunday that would put him better than 4th from the top. As a result, they felt(and rightfully so) it is better to keep him off of the show.

Goldberg vs Christian is an acceptable RAW match but too weak for a Goldberg PPV match.

The build will soon start for Goldberg vs Jericho. Then Goldberg vs HHH.

HHH was right in suggesting they hold off until SS. They have 2 months after Badd Blood to build HHH vs Goldberg.

Summerslam will do a big number this year, just like last year.

Anyone here ever catch the Bill Goldberg-Brad Armstrong match from SuperBrawl('98 I think)? Imo, the best squash ever on ppv and it went over quite well.

Theres plenty of time on a 3hour payperview to have Goldberg do something, ANYTHING! Smarks might not like him but its obvious that hes still pretty over with the mark audience.

Yeah, they could at least have him run some sort of low card heel gambit, squashing like Steven Richards, Rico, and some other guys. Just like the nWo B-squad.

From what I remember reading when he signed, Goldberg asked for less time on the road and also dictated who he would, and would not, wrestle. Assuming this is true (since when do we not?), perhaps this is why Goldberg is not appearing on Judgment Day.

So...Jericho is getting fed to Goldberg en route to his HHH showdown?

Fuck Vince.

Duh. We know Jericho is gonna get squished. He's the 2nd top heel on Raw and he's been used constantly to set up HHH's opponents. It's only a question of when he'll be Goldberg chow.
