Kevin Dunn is listed in the credits for Wrestlemania 2...how can he have been around so long and not care at all about wrestling?

I've oftne theorized that it's Dunn's influence that got McMahon further and further away from wrestling and towards the "entertainment" realm. Just a personal theory, but he definitely seems like the type.

I have a question I got in my head when I was watching WrestleMania IV the other day (Why? I'm not quite sure) and Gorilla and Jesse were talking about how their were rumors in the National Examiner that Jesse was seeing Vanna White. Now I know this is a stupid question but was there really a story in the National Examiner about Vanna and Jesse being an item or were Gorilla and Jesse just joking around (Wasn't Ventura married with kids?)

I really doubt it was a real article.

Either that, or it was something stupid along the lines of the article that linked Jen Aniston with Rey Mysterio Jr during Rey's WCW hey-day that got mentioned on Nitro

Read an article on Jen Aniston some time later where she was asked about that rumor and she completely botched his name. I think she called him "Mystery Man" or something

Who was going to win the Triple Threat match between Stone Cold, Rock, and HHH at SSeries 99 before Austin was removed?

All I can remeber is that Stone Cold was supposed to turn heel on the Rock and cost him the match. I don't know if HHH would retain under that scenario, but that seems the most likely outcome.

Remember though that they knew for a couple weeks that Stone Cold wasn't going to work the match. It's plausible that they hadn't even worked out the finish by that point.

The finish was going to be Austin accidentally costing Rock the match, but not turning heel. The idea, before Austin went down, was for Austin to get the belt back at the Rumble before turning heel going into a WM 2000 main event against Rock.

I remember reading the same article. She called him "The Phantom".

totally random: I seem to remember a PPV in the late 80s, where Mean Gene is about to interview... Rick Rude, maybe? And as he starts, the

banner behind him falls and Gene yells "FUCK IT!" and they cut away

quickly...

Did this in fact happen?

Something that popped into my head while talking about WWE weddings...

In 1999, I remember something about Stephanie getting hit in the head with a trash can thrown by the Bulldog. She then suffered some amnesia, I think. What was the timeline on this? Did anything happen with the Bulldog? And how was the amnesia resolved?

this happened at the uk ppv in like october 99 I think (rebellion?) in which rock and hhh main evented in a cage.

Bulldog was yelling at vince or something and threw a trash can just as steph was walking in. Vince was pissed. I htink test fought bulldog at leats once but they dropped the story fairly quickly as steph started to remember and actually asked test to marry her on raw or sd (cant remember which)

in short it was quickly dropped and never mentioned again, as per usual WWF/E logic

Was Shawn Michaels set to feud with Owen Hart after WrestleMania 14?

No. Shawn took time off, which ended up being almost four years, bar one match for his TWA group, because of his back.

Either that or they would have done Austin/Tyson vs DX.

Also never going to happen.

When did Shawn say he would take the time off after Wrestlemania 14? Had any plans for him for that periosd been mapped out before it became clear that would be his last match for awhile?

I don't think even tentative plans were made for Shawn post-WM14. At the time, anything I heard regarding Shawn began and ended with him dropping the belt to Austin. I don't know if it was solely down to his back, though once it was clear he needed time off any plans there might have been for him were off the table. I know they didn't want to say or do anything that could provoke him into having a temper tantrum, because they were set on him putting over Austin, and he wasn't happy about that, to the point he insinuated he might not do the job at all, which in turn led to Undertaker having his infamous 'word' with Shawn.

I question that though...wasn't it pretty certain by Wrestlemania that Shawn would basically have to take an extended hiatus due to his back injury (let alone basically retire)?

I remember the rumors on the net at the time were that Shawn would be out until at least Survivor Series. HHH would take over D-X (like he did) and Shawn would return to feud with the group towards the end of the year. I know that was mostly speculation, though.

It was clear by mid-to-late February that Shawn was going to need a great deal of time off. At that point, any and all plans regarding Shawn post-WM 14 were off the table until they had a timetable for his return and what kind of condition he would be in.

Actually that sort of happened. HBK returned in the fall/winter as a heel "commissioner" and briefly feuded with DX. Then of course he was put through the windshield in the infamous angle. Shawn kept popping up on WWF TV in 99 usually to quickly disappear soon after. I have no idea what was going on with that.

I think the Wildcard match was basically a convenient way to continue all the feuds that were involved in that match.

There were 3 faces and 5 heels involved. They either had to turn someone or do the wildcard match.

Without letting my hate for HBK seep through, I really don't know how else to explain his on-off appearances any other way than he didn't want to be out of the limelight for very long.

That always annoyed me how HBK would keep coming back for special "guest appearances" every few months and WWF kept playing it up like it was some big deal. It's like "Yeah, we just saw this guy do the same thing two months ago. Either come back or go away for good."

firts shawn showed up as guest commnetator on the raw before summerslam 98, the net rumors had it that he would be Mankinds mystery opponent in the 1st round of the survivor series wwf title tourney (turned out to be Duane Gill later Gillberg)

yea but he quickly turned face on vince mcmahon barely a month after his return as heel commish, then the windshield thing happened on the raw where mankind won the wwf title. he later made an apperance on raw after the rumble 99 live form his home with austin with him, announcing that since vince had just relinquished his mania title shot he won, austin would automatically get it, then they set up the feb steel cage match. his next appearnce was at mania 15 in the main event when vince tried to be guest ref after mankind had been too hurt to do it, so shawn threw him out of there.

next he appeared in august on raw prior to summerslam and he and shane were guest refs for the hhh-mankind #1contenders match from the week before summerslam. the next week on the debut of sd as a weekly show, he was ref for the rock-hhh bullrope world title match and turned heel by superkicking rock and giving hhh the win. he never appeared again untill he made himself the ref for the rock-hhh ironman match at Judgment Day 2000 (though rock did mention he didnt trust shawn cuz of the kicking incident, they never explained why he did that and was an impartial ref) then he didnt show his face till joing the nWo in may 2002 (of course we all know about the planned wm 17 return that never happened)

man I remember too much

I don't think so, and Michaels mentioned that as well on the Eddie Raw. I forget what Michaels said exactly (it was something about Heaven) but people took it to mean a WrestleMania match was going to be in the works.
