Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 SWF Lockdown May 28th, Live from the Continental Airlines Arena in glamorous East Rutherford, New Jersey! Matches due: 6 PM EST Send to: Grand Slam US TITLE MATCH Michael Craven © vs. Mike Van Siclen -Yeah, the feud's over. Yeah, Craven did a lot of ass-whoopin' in there. In other news, A Portrait Of Mike Van Siclen made very little sense to anyone, except for the fact that the name Michael Craven kept popping up. When it's 2:46 in the morning, you go with what makes sense, and that's a match we've seen before, but always dig. The battle of the Mikes, one last time, wherein MVS gets a chance to stop, uh, talking about things, and start kicking some ass. Win this one for...the Gipper. Would Frost be the Gipper? I've always pictured him as a Gipperly sort. Rules: Straight-up singles. Rock it like Herbie Hancock. Word Limit: 4000 Send to: Grand Slam NO-DQ MATCH Sean Atlas vs. Wildchild -On Storm, Sean Atlas pulled out a win over Catch-22's leader, Beezel. Quietly and quickly, Atlas has been working his way through the group, now holding wins over Beezel, Johnny Dangerous, and Mike Van Siclen. The Wildchild is all that remains, but if Atlas wants to make it a clean sweep, he's going to have to get brutal. Wildchild comes off an impressive tag victory over LDP and Frost, and though that means he's already back in the tag title hunt, a win for pride never hurt anybody when CC is keeping a close watch... Rules: DQ and count-out not in effect. Winner by pinfall or submission in the ring. Word Limit: 4000 Send to: Suicide King SINGLES MATCH Frost vs. Nathaniel Kibagami -A confronation with Janus is on the horizon for Kibagami, who dispatched Michael Craven on Storm. What better to warm up than with another less-than-gentle giant named Frost? This match is also important for the Master of the Job Train; he regained his spirit for the game on Storm, but still suffered a hard loss in tag action. Can Frost turn that spirit into a win? Will Kibagami reach his "full potential"? We'll see... Rules: Straight up singles. Word Limit: 4500 Send to: chirs3 HARDCORE GAMER'S CHAMPIONSHIP ELIMINATION MATCH Dace Night © vs. Longdogger Pete vs. Johnny Dangerous -Relative rookie Dace Night and mentor Danny Williams almost captured the tag titles on Storm, but you know what they say about almost-theres: you've got to defend your singles title on the next show! Danny'll be fighting to retain his ICTV Title, but first Dace faces off against seasoned hardcore vet LDP and super-slick superspy Johnny Dangerous. Anything goes in this elimination style three-way dance. Rules: Hardcore rules, elimination style. If you don't get pinned, you win. Word Limit: 4750 Send to: chirs3 SINGLES MATCH Janus vs. Jay Dawg -If Janus is going to be ready for 13th Hour, he's gonna need a fight...and Jay Dawg is the man to bring it. Coming off a hard loss to Tom Flesher, JD's got even more rage than usual...and hell, Janus is always angry these days. They'll collide here in a chance to pick up some momentum...but I'm gonna make both of them wrestle, not smack each other with chairs. Balance is zen, my friends. Rules: Straight up singles match. No exploding tables, please. Word Limit: 4500 Send to: Edwin MacPhisto OMG MEGAPOWERS EXPLODE SORTA KINDA NOT REALLY~! MATCH "The Judge" William Hereford vs...Ejiro Fasaki?!? -To some, it may look like nonsensical, asinine crap. To me and Z, it looked cuter than an 8-year-old and more interesting than TNT's lovelife. No one can stop Justice and Rule, as they picked up another successful title defense last show, continuing their unbeaten tag team streak. The only logical thing to do when no one can stop a tag team? Make 'em fight each other! Do what you will with this one, gentlemen. I'd like to see a legit singles match if you can swing it, but I respect your creativity. Rules: You. Fight. Other you. Also fight. Word Limit: 4500 Send to: Edwin MacPhisto SINGLES MATCH Tod deKindes vs. "TNT" Taylor Nicholas Thompson -TNT's back in champion form after out-murderizing Neilsen of the Jungle (who's got the show off to heal, despite King's wishes) in a Hell in the Cell, but he just can't get any rest. Moments after the match, Tod deKindes accosted him yet again, and TNT finally cracked. Tod's ruined many a moment for TNT over the past two months, and maybe, just maybe, they'll be on their way to settling that grudge tonight... Rules: Standard rules. DQ and count-out are in effect. Word Limit: 5000 Send to: Grand Slam ICTV TITLE MATCH "Deathwish" Danny Williams vs. Beezel -Atlas gave Beezel a whoopin' on Storm, and it couldn't come at a worse time for El Scorcho, who tonight cashes in his ICTV title shot! In the past two weeks, Danny Williams has come incredibly close to winning the World and Tag titles. Now he's on the defensive, as Catch-22 and The Unholy Trinity collide... Rules: Standard rules. The ICTV Title is on the line. Word Limit: 5500 Send to: Suicide King MAIN EVENT NON-TITLE SINGLES MATCH OF GRUDGY GRUDGY WUDGINESS "The Superior One" Tom Flesher © vs. The Boston Strangler -Since his return, Strangler has been as the top of his game, battling and brawling at the top of the card. On Storm he called out Tom Flesher, and at the end of the show, a reluctant Tom agreed to give the ragin' Superstation a match...that's not for the SWF World Heavyweight Title. Considering Strangler's disposition, though, you've got to wonder if he isn't happy enough just to get his hands on Tom... Rules: Straight-up singles match. You know the drill. Word Limit: 6000 Send to: realitycheck
Guest Thoth Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Haha! I book funny cards too, but my excuse is caffeine excess.
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Nifty little card there, Edwin. Not really on King-levels of awesomeness, but you know, it's your first try and all, so good job. Also a little dissapointed that Tod and I didn't get co-ME billing or the second-to-last match on the card or something, but that's one of those "eh, deal" things. On a sidenote, does anyone else see a surprise MOTN in Kibsy/Frosty? I do, so they better not dissapoint.
Guest Beezel Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Consider opening promo called, unless someone called it in secret.
janusd Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Intros done, finish planned out, and I'm feeling gassed to start this thing. (Y)
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Also a little dissapointed that Tod and I didn't get co-ME billing or the second-to-last match on the card or something, but that's one of those "eh, deal" things. ::shrug:: I figured it was highly unlikely that this would be your blow-off, and that the finish is logically going to be inconclusive in one way or another, so why hot-shot it to the top? You'll complete a better program in the long run if you work for it more. Hope no one's too bothered by the plethora of regular singles matches and light stips, but we've had a lot of big crazy ones lately, and I had no less than four independent requests for regular non-stip action. It doesn't make for a flashy card, but I think most every match on here has great potential for character development and perhaps for starting to turn storylines towards 13th Hour. Good luck to all.
Guest Coffin Surfer Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Hell no, Edwin this is the best damn card I've see in a while. Great job, man! The stips that are there make sense, and don't have the weird gimmick just for the sake of weird gimmick vibe too it.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 I agree with Danny. While I don't like some of the matchups, the light stips and straight bouts are excellent and should be the way the shows are always booked. If you recieved four requests for a straight up match maybe that tells you bookers something that you should take note of.
Guest Beingz0wningj00 Posted May 24, 2003 Report Posted May 24, 2003 Oh right...I get to face the guy who is probably already done his match... crap

As a side note, I would be more than thrilled to do a run in on either Judge or Ejiro. Better watch out on messing with Ejiro though, wouldn't want to turn him face.

Guest Kibagami Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 I'm curious to see what happens in the main event. Also, I do not like writing at four in the morning because I'm not going to be here most of tomorrow. Stupid writing. K.

Guest Beezel Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Due to some lack of communication, I regretfully withdraw the opening promo call from tonight. I still need input from other people to make it a reality, perhaps next show. Again, apologies.
Guest Tod deKindes Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Match done. *spears a jobber, claims US title for which I never got a rematch*
Guest Beingz0wningj00 Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 My girlfriend broke the connection, this is my first access since. Sorry, I noshowed.
Guest Ash Ketchum Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 *gets his US Title back after ELK spears Tod, pins him, and gives the title back to Craven*

Guest Kibagami Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 This is just gay. Not ghey, mind you. Gay. And I am so going to job this match. Long story short, shit happens, so I wrote the best match I could and turned it in. It's not going to win, but it's not terrible, and the Silent Shows Up For Matches streak is alive and well. Onward! K.
