Guest MrRant Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 I demand to know. Demand it. You can confess to your Reverend. Let me lift thy sin from your shoulders.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 First off, I like Breckin Meyer. Not a Garfield fan, don't care. But you ALL know that I'm seeing this movie. And I don't even have to say why. Dames Is it because of the mind bending plot?
The Dames Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Yep. Breckin Meyer ALWAYS chooses the best scripts, you know. Dames
Guest WhenDanSaysJump Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 No Nermal? No mailing of Nermal to Abu Dhabi? This movie will suck cock.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Back on topic: Garfield rocks.
Guest mach7 Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Garfield needs a voice. the actor from the cartoon, Lorenzo Music, passed away some time ago. Someone like Bill Murray could pull it off. Dude! When I was a kid, I used to think that Murray did his voice! Music and Murray sound very similar, and I think that Murray would be a great choice for Garfield's voice in the movie. That said, I'd definitely see it, but I'd probably do so during matinee hours or on cheapo Tuesday's.
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 Dear god....another Scooby Doo type of movie! NOOOOO!! I think they should have FULL CGI.
River City Rocker Posted May 26, 2003 Report Posted May 26, 2003 I might see it, but there's no way in hell that it would be as enjoyable as an entirely animated movie. Live action movies of cartoon strips are just wrong. Count my vote for Bill Murray voicing Garfield as well. He's as close to Lorenzo Music as we're ever going to get now. -Ben
Guest Star Ocean 3 Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 A Garfield movie would be good if it had no real plot. Just Jon and Garfield going to the diner, vet, and all that. Maybe have a bunch of mini-stories. so it's like a film version of a few weeks' worth of comic strips.
Guest Vyce Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 I really miss Lorenzo Music. Real Ghostbusters was one of the best animated shows EVER. This movie just seems like a bad idea, but I could go with Murray for the voice. Or Bruce Campbell. Just because he's Bruce fuckin' Campbell.
Guest RevEvil Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 If any of the tv characters like Binky the clown, those bears, or wade the duck are in it I'll consider seeing it.
Guest Goodear Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 We are the Buddy Bears... We always get along... If you disagree that means that you are wrong... Oh we are the Buddy Bears... WE ALWAYS GET ALONG!
Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 you forgot "We always like to do a little dance and sing a little song" they always sang that, too
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 BTW if this movie sucks, Garfield is gonna be taking a little hiatus from my sig. Not that I'm fickle, just that i wont be able to look at it in the same light again for a while.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 If you still have Garfield in your sig in 2004(year of release), I'll be impressed.
Guest newblood03 Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 if anyone hsould play John Arbuckle it should be my History teacher Mr. Webb............i told him he looks like him i swear you'd be amazed out how similar they look
River City Rocker Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 No problem, King. Plus, if you get Murray, it comes full circle: Murray plays Peter Venkman in Ghostbuster- Music voices Venkman in The Real Ghostbusters- Murray voices Garfield. It's been confirmed, ladies and germs: Bill Murray signs on to voice Garfield. I mark for Bill Murray, what can I say? -Ben
Guest Dmann2000 Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Perhaps this movie will work but... ...CGI Garfield but real Odie? I can't see that.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 If you still have Garfield in your sig in 2004(year of release), I'll be impressed. I have no plans of getting a life in the next 2 years
Guest Mattdotcom Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 What I don't get is Odie is a little black, brown, and white like the dog on Frasier. I can't think of the breed right now, but it's not what I imagine Odie's real life counterpart to look like. At least get a yellow dog. Bill Murray signs on to voice Garfield. Damn, I'm good.
Mecha Mummy Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 No problem, King. -Ben Whoa. I may actually see this, despite the prescence of JLH (Why do I hate her? The Tuxedo. 'Nuff said.).
Guest El Satanico Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Yeah...JLH sucks in everything...not just The Tuxedo.
Mecha Mummy Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Leave The Tuxedo alone! Dames The Tuxedo almost killed my love of Jackie Chan movies, and I blame it on the weak script and JLH SUCKING.
Guest Kingpk Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Leave The Tuxedo alone! Dames It WAS one of Chan's worst US films. But blame the director and the godawful script for that. Remember the uproar from Chan fans when he used wires for most of his stunts?
The Dames Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 ...Hey, I remember someone here having it in their avatar and their sig. I just have it in my DVD collection. BUT I don't pretend its a good movie. Dames
Guest Kingpk Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 That was before it came out. I found the pairing to be interesting. And then I actually saw it.
The Dames Posted May 28, 2003 Report Posted May 28, 2003 Well.... I guess that answers the age old question.. "Who's the bigger JLH fanboy?" You were going to vote for Dushku. Remember that! Dames
