How many PPv main-events has he been in? Exactly. He's getting reactions, get over it. Climb off this bandwagon that is being led by all these people who hate anyone over 225 pounds. It will stunt your enjoyment of wrestling. I don't mind A Train, he;s not my favourite but if he's put in with decent workers, he can learn more. He is eager.

Well, in the last 3-4 Smackdown events he has either had pro A-Train chants, or a noticeable amount of A-Train signs from the crowd, so maybe he is finally getting over.

A train is good. his offense is pretty crisp considering his build. he can move, and knows a decent amount about the mechanics of a match. just because he's big and cant do things like benoit doesn't mean he sucks. I mean come on, what do you expect from the guy? (well, aside from chrisma and crowd connection)

You don't have to like him, but you can't deny that he has SOME good qualities about him.

 

Watch say, Kevin Nash wrestle, then watch A-Train. See how much faster A-Train is, how much harder he bumps. See Nash's generic hoss big boot/sideslam offense, then see A-Train's unique, well executed moveset.

 

A-Train really isn't THAT bad. I'd like to see more of him, personally.

he's boring because of his lack of crowd interaction and the fact that he has no charisma. as far as working a match he's pretty good. he has some sick power moves that he executes well.

I don't have time to read through this whole thread, but let me put it to you this way:

 

A-Train looks good in comparison basically. Compared to the rest of the hosses he's alright, but that just means he's a less smelly part of the crap. The difference is that he's been adding moves to his moveset, but adding moves doesn't equal improvement really.

One of the main reasons I enjoy his work, is the believability of his offense. That shit looks like it would hurt, unlike the Billy Gunn-style "stomp my foot to make a noise" punches we see from so many wrestlers.

 

I'd love to see A-Train take on someone like Hansen or Kawada in early 90's All-Japan.

Yeah his moves look like they hurt (except the move he did to Steph), but he still needs to work on stringing those moves together to tell a story. He still falls into the trap of most hosses today that is doing power moves just for the sake of looking cool to cover up major flaws. They hope that their moves will make the crowd go "whoa" enough that they don't notice that there's no method to the madness.
