Guest BorneAgain Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 I don't understand the complaints about her. So what if she lacks some pyschology, the womens' divison is not exactly made up of Benoits or Guerreros anyway, so her wrestling, spot or otherwise, will be nice change of pace.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Looks like she'd be a better fit in NWA:Total Nonstop Spots.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Pretty old news. Yeah, Gail Kim is the whole package. We know her style...we know who her favorite wrestlers are. Anyone who's flipped through last month's RAW magazine can tell you all these things. Regardless of how great she is, the more you gush the less she'll be used and she's coming into WWE at a terrible time for someone with her talent. Creative is at -5,000 and dropping rapidly. I hope she's happy to just get a check. who are her favorite wrestlers

Guest Polish_Rifle Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Wow! She's got some nice moves and she is definitely hot. She will be a welcome addition to the borefest that is the current state of the women's division.
Guest wwF1587 Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 W O W... she is way better than i ever thought she'd be.. i marked soo many FN times during those clips i swear.. if the wwe screws this up they truly are hopeless...
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Not even a Canadian? Not even an Albertain. YEAH.
Guest CanadianChick Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Not even a Canadian? Not even an Albertain. YEAH. *gasps* PLEASE, please, tell me you did not say that.
Guest wildpegasus Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Debbie Malenko was the best North American wrestler. So far I haven't seen anyone who's at her level in the present day. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how good Gail Kim is. We can already tell she's good at high flying moves and her favourite wrestler's Benoit so she's already off on a good foot.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Eww, she'll have to spend some time learning WWE style -- too much running around in those videos. It makes her look athletic...
Guest Lightning Flik Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Not even a Canadian? Not even an Albertain. YEAH. *gasps* PLEASE, please, tell me you did not say that. Ok. It's official. We can now proclaim Ravishing Rick Rudo as Triple R for that one comment (you better believe I'm kidding). Still though, that's harsh. Then again, I'd rather not see another Albertan wrestler get screwed by Vince more than I already have (first with Bret, then with Benoit).
Guest Rob Edwards Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Debbie Malenko was great, I still mark for her team she had with Sakie Hasegawa as regards Gail Kim we'll see I guess, she doesn't seem anything above average from that but who knows ALthough why Vince brings people like Gail in when AYAKO HAMADA wants to work there is anyones guess

Guest Rob Edwards Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Triple post sorry, thats what you get for having a shitty connection I guess
Guest croweater Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 She's gonna freshen up the division, whether you think she's over rated or not, she looks to be as good as, if not better than all of the women in the division at the moment. Give her a go and then we can flame her in a few weeks if she's poo or praise her as the female equivilent of Bret Hart. Either way, we should at least see her and how she is used before jumping to any damning conclusions.
MooreMark Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 I don't think America has an equilivalent of Bret Hart. Jazz and Molly are pretty close though. And Gail Kim will surely be the second coming of Rey Rey.
Guest Alcohol Fueled Posted June 8, 2003 Report Posted June 8, 2003 Nothing I have seen of her impresses me. She is slow in the ring, and hardly as good looking as some of you are making out she is.
Rendclaw Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 While like most of jaded souls here, I don;t hold out much hope for her to be used properly but she has a lot of promise, and yes she's gorgeous, I will say that I wish I was taking bumps from her.... lucky guys. And she has a WAYS to go before she can be mentioned in the same breath as the Jumping Bomb Angels... one of the best tag teams I have seen, male or female... even wrestling the watered down WWF style back in the day they STILL made it look good. aside from Japan, there is not other place where she could really be used well, IMO
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 That's the dealy-o? Is there some wrestling gene that native born North American females will never quite develop?
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 It's a training issue. Women are trained more in the ways of entering the ring than working a match.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 In Japan the women are trained in exactly the same way as the men and by some amazing science they turn out as good!
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Well that's just... wrong... I mean, jeez, they're not trained to bend over a certain way or how to pose for a picture? What the fuck do they do over there anyways!?
Guest Monday Night Jericho Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I'm just getting into Joshi Puroresu and if Hamada is as good as people say she is then it would be a shame for the WWF/E to ruin her. Just look what they did to TAKA.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Well that's just... wrong... I mean, jeez, they're not trained to bend over a certain way or how to pose for a picture? What the fuck do they do over there anyways!? I'm told some of them actually go straight through the ropes without stopping for perverts to take ass photo's. thats just poor training if you ask me and was does TAKA have to complain about, he got to hold the prestigous WWF light heavyweight not in the slightest bit derogitory sounding championship and wasn't sterotyped in the slightest Damn me and RRR need to start up some kind of sarcastic assholes group!
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 And I know what exactly to call our group!
EL DANDY~! Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 God DAMN Rudo is on a roll, here... If WCW can screw up the GAEA girls...the WWE can screw up Gail Kim. Plain and simple.
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 So, Rudo, what your saying is that Fit Finlay is a shitty trainer, or what? I don't know who trained Nidia and Torrie, but Nidia still sucks and Torrie is about |_| that much better than Gayda was in her debut match. WWE, please get them the fuck out of the ring and leave them at ringside. As for the actual women wrestlers on Raw, 4/5 shows the women's match is the best match on Raw. So I don't think they're so horrible, although they need to hit stiffer and reduce their spot-blowing.
LaParkaYourCar Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Lookswise she's totally overated. I'd have to agree. There's just something about her face that bugs me.
Guest Bannable Offense Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I second LaParkaYourCar's comment. While, I wouldn't kick her out of bed, Gail Kim's face doesn't do much for me.
