WWF Royal Rumble - SNES/Sega Genesis

But Raw (16 bit version, that is) was so much better! :P Plus they had somewhat different movesets!

I have to say that aside from Fire Pro deluxe, because of the INSANE moves that were available, RR was the best 16 bit wrestling game, though NJPW ranks a close third...

I liked Raw as long as you didn;t do the crappy Wrestlemania Arcade-style finishers.

Ijust don't get it. How can ANYONE make a poll on wrestling games withot mentioning No Mercy, VPW2, or the Fire Pro series?

Heathen gamers.

However, I must mention that WrestleMania: The Arcade Game hasa always had a special place in my heart. ADAM BOMB CHEAT YO.

It's a toss up for me. Fire Pro Wrestling D one day and then Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 the next. No Mercy had everything I was looking for in a wrestling game but the slowdown was horrendous and totally killed any enjoyment I got out of that game. Honourable mention goes to Giant Gram 2000 and Wrestlefest.

Royal Rumble for SNES was one of the greatest wrestling games. Back in the day I could play that game for hours on end.

Adam Bomb cheat!?

So goes the legend. He was supposed to be a secret character in the Arcade and PS version. I've looked through every single sound file on the PS disc and there isn't a single line of commentary from Vince or Jerry mentioning Adam Bomb by name, although there was a lot fo stuff chopped from the PS release so he could just be an arcade character.

Or it could all be bullshit. But the opportunity to mark out is just too great...

Tough ;)

My thoughts.

I never encountered the dreaded slowdown that many complained about because I didn't play with the music on and I had an expansion pack. Plus, my game was defected with the dreaded No Mercy bug that erased all of your progress/characters.

Shawn Michaels was my favorite wrestler by far in that game.... atomic drop into the Dangerous Back Suplex.... 1... 2.....3.

Though Taker breaking out the tombstone was always a mark-out moment for me.

Perfect was my favorite in Rumble.

That game is a classic.

no surprise... no mercy. even to this day, i still find myself creating wrestlers on the CAW. like someone else here, i still have not found a copy of vpw2. it is my ultimate wishlist game.

other games that give it a run for the money are firepro d and even giant gram (love playing as baba!!!).

i really want to obtain the kin of colloseum games for the japanese ps2. firepro in 3d!!!! that has to be the shit!
