Low Ki

Some of you TNA fans a few steps ahead of the rest may know that Low Ki wrestles in Japan for the federation Zero-One and holds the NWA/UPW/Zero-One Junior Title.

If TNA wants to look more "major league" shouldn't they have Low Ki make a title defense on one of their PPV shows, they showed a Jeff Jarrett NWA Title Match from Z1 on one occasion.

That's an awesome idea, but I'm not too sure Japanese feds are cool with having their titles used in the US

As long as the champion wins the promotions tend not to care.

I like this idea. TNA could benefit from it as well. They could play up the fact that it's a title created and defended in Japan as a way of illustrating their international influence.

The actual name is the NWA/UPW/ZERO-ONE INTERNATIONAL Junior Title. But it was created in conjunction with the NWA, so there shouldn't be any problems with Low Ki defending it on TNA shows. Unless TNA doesn't want to be associted with UPW and Zero-One, or TNA could just refer to it as the "International Jr. Title"

I think that this would be an interesting move for NWA to do if they had him do it.

It might go off better than that one title defense Liger had against Juvi on that one Nitro...

I just want to say I look forward to every one of your posts. Seeing Molly Holly in that wifebeater is always a great thing. :D

If TNA wanted to be more major league, Low-Ki wouldn't be employed.

Yes.

Because he's over and has good matches.

No one would want that.

Keep the good female workers away from Vince Russo.

Thank you.

I don't thinnk Jarrett defended the NWA Title on the Zero One show. I think it was just Jarrett & Corino Vs King Adamo & Samoa Joe. I think that was the match.

Who isn't over in TNA to be honest? There's like all of 100 people in the arena.

1,000 still isn't alot for a wrestling show. I don't see how smarks can condone Low-Ki. All he does is punch, kick, and no-sell. Isn't this what the majority hate UT for?

One of the things TNA does better than WWE is make the belts seem somewhat special and over.

Comparing Low Ki to Undertaker is pretty damn ridiculous

Outside of WWE in the US, 1,000 is a HUGE fucking crowd for a wrestling show. I'm pretty sure the capacity at the Asylum is a little bigger than that, anybody know?

ECW at it's peak drew 1,600.

CZW's highest-drawing show is a little over 1,000

ROH's is barely over 600(?) I believe, which will be broken this Saturday.

If you compare Low Ki to Undertaker, you obviously have seen barely any Low Ki- in ROH, Japan, or other independents.

ECW at its peak drew 5000.

What's funny is I'm not alone. There are others who think nothing is special about Ki either.

I apologize for the mistake, I meant Viking Hall only- where did ECW draw five thou?

Punch, Kick and No-Sell?

admittedly I am a HUGE Low-Ki mark, but I think I can say aside from a pretty impressive array of kicks which is his main weapon, thats about as wrong as wrong gets.

You can like him or dislike him at your pleasure, Game, but come on.

Low Ki is massively overrated (although not as much as Styles) but he isn't a bad worker, and there is no problem with him working in a group like TNA, so I dont see your point.

Are you just trying to start an argument, Game?

Misawa sucks too, doesn't he?

I've seen the first 8 ROH shows, and based on the Main Event in the first one alone, I think that Low Ki deserves to be in TNA.

He'll never make it in the WWE, as he's too small, and probably too stiff, but I feel he kicks ass in ROH.

I can see how his style might not be for everybody, but to say he doesn't deserve to be employed?

And Redneck, WHO with half a brain would say that Misawa sucks? That has to be an exageration.

I actually saw Low Ki live, wrestling for the WWE. It was in March of 2001. He jobbed to Essa Rios for the show that is now known as Velocity.

Ki got NO reaction at all. I'd only heard of him from an article in a PWI. He looked good from what I can remember though.
