The Dames Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 I would also include Benoit/Sullivan's match from Great American Bash '96 (or was that Bash at the Beach?). Dusty: "There's a woman in the men's bathroom!" Dames
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 Dusty: "There's a woman in the men's bathroom!" Yeah it was GAB96 - it doesn't matter how many times you hear it, you just never see it coming. That match, while being pretty regular hardcore brawling now, still stands up today - the crowd was going insane and were all up ons.
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 Well they could, you know, try to make him one. Hell, you could have the DVD compliment the push - as if to say "Chris Benoit is a Big Deal, he's done a lot of stuff in his career that you all should take a look at - here's a DVD" and GET people to buy it. What a crazy concept. Oh wait, that would mean he'd have to win sometimes, and not have to put-over pieces of shit. Can't have that. Exactly. Notice that when Rey's DVD came out he got a push? From what I heard it sold very well.
Guest Si82 Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 On another point, why can I never get Power Slam until a Friday here in Sunderland? I just don't understand it. I've the same problem, and i live in Scotland. I usually get it on the Friday, sometimes not until Saturday, but never the Thursday it's supposed to be out So it's not just me then. Although, if I go to Newcaslte then I can usually pick up a copy on the Thursday. Very odd...
Guest RollingSambos Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 I thought that one of Benoit's top 3 feuds in WWE so far was with The Rock in 2000. I think that those matches should be included along with his matches with Jericho and Angle.
Guest Shanghai Kid Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 One crowd cheering Benoit means nothing, he's not a draw and he wouldn't sell dvd's. Trish has more fans, is more over, and is more of a draw. Pathetic, yes, but oh so true.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I would also include Benoit/Sullivan's match from Great American Bash '96 (or was that Bash at the Beach?). Dusty: "There's a woman in the men's bathroom!" Dames I always thought the line was, "There's a woman in the men's john!"

Dusty: "There's a woman in the men's bathroom!" Dames I always thought the line was, "There's a woman in the men's john!" You're both wrong. "There's a LADY, Tony! There's a lady in da men's bthroom!"
Lil' Bitch Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 What matches do they have on Rey's DVD? Anything of him from WCW days on it?
Gert T Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Dusty: "There's a woman in the men's bathroom!" Yeah it was GAB96 - it doesn't matter how many times you hear it, you just never see it coming. Yeah but unfortunately if the WWE edits WCW matches like they did on the Rey DVD, you wouldn't even get the loudest reaction, when Benoit & Arn started kicking the shit out of Sullivan.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 And Arns promo at the end, and Benoit saying "Righteousness!" - fuckin aye.
Guest The Decadent Slacker Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Wait-how bad is the edit on the Rey one? is it still worth like picking up? I'm going to the Big City here in a few weeks (Big City=city that has more that 10,000 people) & was going to pick that up along with the HBK one. A Benoit DVD might actually sell. As a former WWE sheep (sHHHeep? there's a shirt right there), i can firmly attest to the marks buying ANYTHING with that now tarnished logo on it. If they put out a "A-Train: All Aboard for PAIN!" DVD, the marks would buy it, although granted not in the quantity of others. I'd rather see them release something like a WCW piece first (no fucking chance though), or an ECW "Before they were Stars" thing on guys like Austin, Jericho, Benoit, Eddy-the guys who got their first break in ECW or the guys who salvaged their careers there & became huge. but i think it's a matter of time before they do a Benoit or Guerrero (Guerreros?) DVD. Too bad Saturns gone, because a Best of the Radicalz would have kicked ass. I'd also love it if they did a From the Vault type of deal by rereleasing the old WCW PPVs on DVD with occasional bonus shit.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I hear the edit job is just on the entrance and finish - not the match itself.
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Unless the Trish DVD is porn, who cares. The Flair DVD should be all kinds of awesome, there's seemingly no way the WWE could fuck that up, but if there is a way the WWE will find it.
Adam Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 What matches do they have on Rey's DVD?
