Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 4, 2003 While Presently, WWE has employed one of the FINEST tag teams in history, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin AKA The Best Damn Tag Team Period. There is an big problem. That's all they got at the moment. They seemingly split up an very popular face team in Eddy Guerrero and Tajiri for an apperent Heel run for Guerrero. This decision hasn't been well recieved by the Internet Population (what isn't?). The only other teams on Smackdown are Chris Benoit and Rhyno, The Bashams, APA and F.B.I. Degenerated Nex are expected to be splitting very soon for a Singles run against each other including a I QUIT match at a House Show which could indicate they are going for a BIG Summer Slam match. The APA aren't made for Smackdown and are more of an Raw style team (Crappy Brawlers) and APA/TBDTTP won't be pretty and the other two teams are Heels going nowhere. Elsewhere on Raw...The Tag Team stable primarliy consist of Le Reistance whom are green enough to attract RVD's attention, The stale act of the Dudley Boyz and that's about it save for the random parings (I.E Bookdust and X and Y2J) So it's pretty evident that the Tag Team Scene is dead as can be. What Tag Teams are possible to create?
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 I agree. I don't mind Eddie / Tajiri splitting. They didn't really fit together and Eddie's been a heel 80% of his career. Tag team scene is pretty fucked up. Mind you they also split up 3MW, granted they weren't great workers, but they were a tag team noneless. If they can split up Benoit/Rhyno, I'll be happy. Chris Benoit and Rhyno are NOT a good tag team. Styles clashing, no good.
Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted July 4, 2003 It wouldn't be very good, but you could make a team with A-Train and a repackaged Godfather, as "Urban Renewal." I don't know who to use, but I'd like to see a team called the Tennessee Valley Authority. It sounds like a good name/.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 4, 2003 That sounds like a TNA tag team to me... Might as well start auditioning for the next Billy Gunn Partner... Someone said this a few weeks ago but we laughed but it *might* work...Knoble/Gunn. Yes, I know there is an Aerosmith play there. Storm/Nowinski would be good... Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 4, 2003 It wouldn't be very good, but you could make a team with A-Train and a repackaged Godfather, as "Urban Renewal." Godfather was released awhile back...but HEY ya can just use Mark Henry instead. However, your on the right track with A-Train...The guy seems MADE for Tag Teams...Who with? Beats me...He was good with S2H...So stick him with another sparky cruiser...Which means SPANKY. DAMN IT!
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 I'd rather see Mack/Nowinski the World Tag Champs than La Resistance. Seriously.
EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 Vince MUST snipe TNA for America's Most Wanted. Seriously. Besides Benjamin and Hass, they're the best team in North America today.
Adam 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 I really hope AMW stay where they are, they fit in well in TNA, and I fear for their careers in WWE.
Guest BrokenWings Report post Posted July 4, 2003 Yeah, I'd also prefer AMW stay with NWA - I figure they'd probably be misused in WWE, like so many of my favourites. Looking over the Smackdown roster, there is only one team I could see watching, and it's very doubtful at that - but at least they'd get more TV time, which is what I'd like to see.. that being Nunzio/Noble. Guest papacita Report post Posted July 4, 2003 When in doubt, they could always run with T&A 2000...+3. I can smell the ratings NOW!
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted July 4, 2003 Test and Albert--the tag team reunion? Who'd manage them? They have to have a T&A girl to go with it. Not that Test couldn't carry the team with his AWESOME promos, just saying...
Bored 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 See this is the biggest problem with the split is the delution of the tag division as they really should have made the titles floaters. I remember when the two teams were still together how much I would have loved to see a feud between Los Guerreros and BookDust. Way things look now both tag titles will be on two, old stale teams in the Dudleyz and....GOD DAMNIT ALL TO FUCKING HELL....APA.

Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted July 4, 2003 The Tag Team stable primarliy consist of Le Reistance whom are green enough to attract RVD's attention, Heh, that was pretty funny. Anyways, it wouldn't be hard to revive the tag division. They have so many mid-carders on both shows who aren't doing a single thing. Let's take a look, shall we? Raw Faces Who Aren't Doing Anything: AL SNOW GOLDUST KEVIN NASH MAVEN SCOTT STEINER (well, I guess he's still feuding with Test, but work with me here) SHAWN MICHAELS (With Nash. Two Dudes with Attitude! or not...) SPIKE DUDLEY THE HURRICANE TOMMY DREAMER VAL VENIS (He's a face, right?) Raw Heels With Nothing To Do: CHRIS NOWINSKI LANCE STORM (well, except the boring angle, but he's not feuding with anyone, so there.) RODNEY MACK ROSEY STEVEN RICHARDS TEST Smackdown Faces With Nothing To Do (And I'm including cruiserweights, since the division only seems to have one feud at a time): BILL DeMOTT (I think he's a face, isn't he?) FUNAKI NATHAN JONES (Well, if they ever use him again) RIKISHI SPANKY Smackdown Heels With Nothing to Do: A-TRAIN CHUCK PALUMBO JAMIE NOBLE(well, he has an angle, but still no feud) JOHNNY STAMBOLI NUNZIO SEAN O'HAIRE SHANNON MOORE The point to this is to show that they could have decent tag divisions just using lower or mid-carders that have nothing to do. It ain't rocket science. The writers are smart enough to find a logical way to match up certain wrestlers and make a pretty competitive tag division for both shows. Guest The Old Me Report post Posted July 4, 2003 I'm thinking that on the RAW side, we're about to see "Two dudes with attitudes" once again. Maybe they'll suffle the Dudley's over to Smackdown, or send that fat samoan from RAW to team with Rikishi on Smackdown.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 you should always have a bunch of crappy teams along with good teams to make the division robust.. its hard to make up good tag teams when half the roster is on another brand.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 They should have kept Funaki and Tajiri. They gelled well when they wrestled Team Angle that one time. And there's always the guys from TE3 if they really need someone. They were Smackdown wrestlers I think.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted July 4, 2003 Anyone else get the feeling they may tag a returning Scotty Too Hotty (if he ever comes back) with Spanky, to remake Too Cool? Sliced Bread #2 flowing into The Worm? Eh....
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted July 4, 2003 Maybe the WWE could bring back Perry Saturn and pair him with Kanyon as an Eliminators-type team. They could also call up Nick Dinsmore & Rob Conway from OVW. Sure, Conway & Dinsmore are kind of feuding right now, but that didn't stop the WWE from bringing in Doug and Damaja as a team.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 4, 2003 If you want a eliminator group with Kanyon...Dont waste a spot with Saturn when you got a bunch of equally workable similar Saturn-Like wrestlers on Smackdown... Kanyon/A-Train would be good if A-Train puts on his Leather Pants and Black Shirt again... I wouldn't be offended by a S2H/Spanky team because they could be MAJOR FACES and they can be a great heat sparker for TBDTTP to fued with... Kidman/Kanyon could be a good tandem... Snow/Goldust...How come they haven't tapped into the GOLD waiting here?

Guest Coffey Report post Posted July 4, 2003 Let Paul Heyman book the tag division on RAW. Turn the Dudley Boyz heel...and WHAM. "OMG! SOMEONE PAID OFF TEH DUDLEYZ~!!!1" The Dudleyz are still my second favorite tag team of all-time, second only to Bam Bam Gordy & Michael Hayes as the Freebirds. The Dudleyz have the best tag team move in history in my opinion, and that right there makes them credible. In ECW, the 3D was one of the most over moves in the company. No one could take it. That was part of the reason why the were so over as heels. The fans knew that no matter how badly the Dudleyz got their asses handed to them, if they hit the 3D, it was over. The Dudleyz aren't good faces. So, of course, the WWE makes em faces. Mother fuckers.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 4, 2003 The Dudley Boys is the only team that gets a reaction. They should be champs for the #83492 time, it's time to start Dudley Boys vs Spike & Kane for the tag belts again. Bawh Gawd Kane just put Bubba and D-Von through 3 flaming tables Bawh Gawd. Its time for Flaming TLC Hell In the Cell matches. Bawh Gawd Lil Spike Dudley is broke in half.
Guest EdwardKnoxII Report post Posted July 4, 2003 I maybe the only one but, I think the WWE should have kept Bookdust together. I mean they spent all that time getting the fans into them and chasing after the belts only to lose them a few weeks later to the unover team of Regal/Storm. Why? So Booker could get in a world title hunt were he's made fun of for his skin color and then loses and gets pushed back down. And so Goldust can act like a fool. Hell one of my favorite tag team programs was with Goldust trying to prove he wasn't the weak link, Bookdust winning the belts and then beating Y2J/Xtian on RAW to lay down any doubts. At the time anyways.
