MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2003 Couple of injuries..although I doubt they'll much matter.. Jeff Blake, Cardinals QB is out with a concussion James Stewart, Lions RB is out indefinitely with a seperated shoulder (and its a free for all for the starting job..bunch of nobodys)
razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 29, 2003 I will let the trade go, its a risky one but I do not see anything wrong with Dez White for Desmond Clark.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 Interesting move by Ultimo Guererros. He dropped Kordell Stewart and picked up Byron Leftwich. I know Stewart is unreliable, but I can't see Leftwich (a rookiee non-starter) putting up better numbers than Slash. What do you guys think?
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 Thanks Raz, I decided on Clark cause Klensausage is still injured/was injured and isn't a sure bet as a backup for me and I figure Clark could have a good season with Chicago.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 The reason for my QB change is that my bye week for the Saints is in week 10 and by then I believe that Byron Leftwich will be starting. I do not believe that Kordell can hold on to the starting job late in the season.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 Who is your last man on the bench though? Seems weird that you would give up a starting QB over whoever that is. Granted Stewart won't provide much, but he at least has a job for now.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 I am not worried about now I am worried about week 10, I do have Aaron Brooks starting. I only need a backup QB for 1 week so its not a big risk.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 My running backs totally suck...they'll be the death of my team. Starter: Emmitt Smith(Nuff Said) Starter: Dominic Rhodes(Could be a nice sleeper if Edge gets injured) Backup: Sammy Morris(The backup to Travis Henry)
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 It was a pleasant surprise that Olandis Gary got traded and will be playing for the Lions. He should easily be the starter, even after James Stewart comes back from his injured shoulder. Im now one of the lucky few with 2 starting RBs.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 Well then...that fucks me. I't good to know that there is a maximum of ONE QB on the roster...but you can have up to 4 RB or WR. SOOOOOOO glad I took Gannon in the 5th now!!!!!!!
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 Not all teams run the traditional 2WR 2RB TE set now......I'm all about the Wishbone baybee~
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2003 So what's going to be done with the inactive teams? fazzle and flyboy are active on the boards, but haven't touched their teams, which is kind of disappointing. Berzerker's Vikings actually looks like a pretty good team, so it's weird that whoever that is isn't bothering to participate.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2003 Season has not started yet so let's not worry about that right now.
El Gigante 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2003 I'm the Berzerker's Vikings, I havent done anything because theres nothing I have to do. Yahoo put the people in the right spots for me so I'm set to go. All thats left is to sit back and let the games roll.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2003 Does everybody have the starting line ups set?
Cartman 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2003 I do
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2003 I am going to play it safe and not start anyone that is Probable or Questionable. I can't believe I am down 20 points after the 1st game.
El Gigante 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2003 I'm all set to go.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2003 I think I am all set to go as well. It's not like I have any overly impressive backups who are starter worthy as it is, at least not in Week 1.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2003 If they're probable, they're going to play. Don't sit them because of that.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2003 Yahoo is screwed up, it reports that Steve Smith is on practice team or injuried reserve but has his position wrong.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2003 I cant believe Im losing 87-57 (approx) This sucks
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2003 TO and Koren Robinson still have half a game left...if they do well, and Mason doesn't put a lot of points up, you can still win. Maddox is what (seemingly) won the day for the Ephedras though. His 36 points is more than the entire teams for A-Team and Maui.
tpww7 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2003 I should of played Harrington....27 fantasy points and he's on the bench..
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2003 Eh, I'd play Rich Gannon over Joey Harrington every time. Don't knock yourself for that.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2003 Playing match ups is risky with Harrington since he was playing the basement team of the Cardinals and the Titans have a decent defense. But the Raiders have no running game at all so Gannon would throw 50+ attempts in the game which is an important stat in the fantasy league.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2003 Well, if my backup wasnt Jake fn Plummer, Id dump warner in a heartbeat. Anyone wanna trade for Warner.. *crickets* Figured so. Damn.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2003 Points wise, Warner didn't do too badly. Better than a lot of QBs like Brady or Favre. He might make a decent backup at this point.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2003 Well the INTs and the incompletions could result in negative points for Warner.
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2003 Well...my team didn't do too well as Bledsoe and Joe Horn did solid for me but that was about it. Damn Pats D getting owned..grrr
