Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 9, 2003 Vengence Card *Spoilers Included* ************************************************************* WWE Title Match Brock Lesnar © Vs Kurt Angle Vs The Big Show Zach Gowan Vs Vince McMahon Sable Vs Stephanie The Undertaker Vs John Cena U.S Title Semi Finals Eddy Guerrerro Vs Billy Gunn Chris Benoit Vs Matt Hardy U.S Title Finals WWE Tag Team Title Match The Greatest Tag Team Ever © Vs Mysterio and Kidman ***************************************************************** There we go...It's not known if anything else will be added but with two weeks to go..It hasn't appeared they set up any other match...I wouldn't count out a APA/Spanky Vs F.B.I match for Heat. Triple Threat Should be good dispite HIS presence... TWO McMahon matches? WHY not just make it a fucking Mixed Tag? Spare us the agony...and then at least ya can FINALLY hype the first ever..."Father And His Mistress Vs Daughter and her Gimp friend"...It'll sell hotcakes I tells ya... Oh how dare they tease us for Benoit/Eddy... I can work with Benoit/Hardy even...but Weeping Jesus...Benoit has to put over Gunn? Kill me now. Just pull the trigger...I bet those incompenent bastards can't figure that out either... OH why couldn't they just give us Rhyno/Benoit in Mysterio/Kidman's place and stick Rikishi in Benoit's spot and not insult our intelligence? Oh, I forgot we're 12 year old monkeys on Mommy's Computer. Don't get me started on 'Taker...Just don't *rub* him TOO hard Mark. Give the Tag title 10-15 minutes and It's gonna cook...Of course that means it jerks and gets 6 minutes with an Miscommucation spot for the Kidman turn...THAT worked the first time...Sigh. Maybe it's me but the FIRST ever Smackdown PPV oughta have a fucking Cruiserweight title match or AT LEAST an #1 contender match with Spanky/Moore (or Dragon or Knoble)... Bad Blood looked bad but it didn't have 2...count em...TWO! McMahon matches...and it doesn't even have the GOOD McMahon either... 8 matches...3 of them could hit **** if they wanted but we're getting a full HOUR block for The McMahon Saga... At least with raw ya could go..."Of Course it will suck"...Smackdown...Ah fuck it. I'll go to the bar...MAYBE i might get Benoit/Eddy but if I get Matt/Gunn...at least I didn't splurge $40. Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted July 9, 2003 Benoit won't be putting Gunn over in the finals. Rhyno will run in and gore Benoit and turn heel. We get Hardy vs Gunn in the finals, Gunn wins and then Benoit and Rhyno work SummerSlam against each other.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 9, 2003 They couldn't make SD! so much better that Raw's PPV. They HAD to dumb it down.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2003 At least it looks like they're building decent feauds for SummerSlam: Kidman/Rey, Benoit/Rhyno, Hardy/Gunn. If this is the blow off for the McMahon bollocks (and it should be) it'll be worth it.
ANKLELOCK 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2003 Stupid WWE. They CONFIRMED Ultimo/Rey, a dream match of mine, for SS and now they are going Rey/Mr. Torrie Wilson.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 9, 2003 where do you see Billy/Rey coming from? According to the spoilers...it looks like Knoble/Gunn... Which is a Tag Team I'd like to see dispite the Aerosmith reference..

Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2003 The problem with Bad Blood is that the card didn't look too bad and it had the chance of being good, but it turned out to be the worst WWE PPV of the year after the show was over. The problem with Vengeance is that its already fucked and it hasn't even happened yet.

Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Good point, but Kidman has no charisma. Let me ask you a question that nobody has ever been able to properly answer for me yet: What does that have to do with whether a match is good or not? And if you try to say "lack of crowd reaction" I'll point you to Rock-Hogan I, which had incredible heat but still wasn't a good match.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted July 11, 2003 I'm actually looking forward to the main event. Here's to hoping that Big Show takes a legit F-5 again and not another "modified fireman's carry." Zach Vs. McMahon won't be entertaining. That is, unless, you like the idea of watching a one legged boy gimp around after a 60 year old man. Steph Vs. Sable will be more entertaining that Zach/Vince but not because of wrestling. Why are Kidman & Misterio tagging together? I thought Kidman was a heel. I guess that's what happens when you don't watch Smackdown. The US finals tournament will have Billy Gunn, I'm sure. So, it'll be mediocre. Maybe I'm being too harsh on Gunn. It could turn out ok I guess. Here's the hoping that Cena goes over without 18 run-ins and a roll-up. I'll be watching this PPV at BW3's as opposed to watching it on Direct TV and recording it. Guest undisputedjericho Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Bah Gawd this will be the worst PPV of all time... So after each brand has presented us with their first solo PPV's, this is what we get? How can Vince McMahon look at himself in the mirror after charging people $70 to see this shit? Oh yeah, I forgot. Because he's Vince McMahon.

Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 11, 2003 I've never thought of Billy Gunn as being that bad an athlete per se, but you'd think after 10 years with the company Vince McMahon would realize that there's a reason Gunn's never been over as a singles wrestler, even after a program with The Rock. If Rocky can't get you over as a single, it's best to stick you in a tag team for the rest of your career.

Guest The ChriZa Report post Posted July 11, 2003 I've never thought of Billy Gunn as being that bad an athlete per se Athletes have stamina He's a good athlete, but only in the sense that a car that can only hold a half gallon of gas is a good deal. Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Well, let me rephrase that. Billy Gunn can be entertaining from an in-ring standpoint in short spurts, usually from being in a tag team match. Hence the main reason he's almost always over as part of a tag team but isn't over as a singles. In other words, three minutes matches will never get Billy Gunn over as a singles wrestler. Because he has no stamina. And outside of a Rocker dropper his offense sucks. Dear God, if they go through with this the US Title will have all the credibility of HHH's "World" title
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted July 11, 2003 gah i dont want Billy Gunn winning the title, period, I mean just because they revived his old tights, he isnt gonna gain charisma
Guest croweater Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Billy Gunn would be the worst IMAGINABLE champion out of the 4 contenders. A Eddie vs. Benoit match will be the deciding factor as to whether I see the PPV or not.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Nobody wants Billy Gunn to be US Champion except Vince McMahon. Guess who has the only opinion that matters?

Guest FileCabinet Report post Posted July 11, 2003 - The main event could be ok as long as Big Show doesn't get too much offense. - The tag match should be good if given enough time...but it's likely that it'll be shorter than atleast one of the McMahon matches. Neither McMahon should be in the ring for this event. Stephanie and Sable get a match and Ultimo Dragon won't? - I wonder if Undertaker will give John Cena a good "rub" like the last time...geez, I look back at that mess and still can't believe they actually built up Cena as a threat for the title. - Unless the U.S title final is Guerrero vs. Benoit or maybe Guerrero vs. Hardy, it isn't important. Hopefully SummerSlam will be a good show...hopefully...
Guest Y2DAYDAY Report post Posted July 11, 2003 I think the US belt is going on Eddy. Him or Matt Hardy. It will be Eddy vs Benoit or Hardy vs Gunn. If Hardy vs Gunn, you are also looking at Eddy vs Tajiri and Benoit vs Rhyno at the PPV(n addition to the Tag titles and WWE title, leaving 4 very good matches in terms of workrate). If Eddy vs Benoit, you have that match and the tag and WWE Title matches as 3 very good to excellent matches. Hardy vs Gunn is the most likely match with Hardy going over since they have soured on Gunn supposedly leaves this card(though Gunn could just as easily go over): Angle vs Lesnar vs Show Cena vs Taker Zach vs Vince Steph vs Sable Kidman/Rey vs TGTTT Eddy vs Tajiri Benoit vs Rhyno Gunn vs Hardy The above show really only leaves Jamie Noble, Ultimo Dragon, FBI, and APA out in the cold as recent Smackdown performers with angles but not on the PPV show(and they could easily add Noble vs Dragon and FBI vs Apa, or do a 6 or 8 man). Everyone else doesn't have an angle on Smackdown right now and are have angles on Velocity. The above card as an 8 match show is a good show. I'd expect Eddy Vs Tajiri, the WWE Title, the Tag titles, and Benoit vs Rhyno to all be very good to excellent matches. That is half of the show right there. I think Undertaker vs Cena will be a good semfinal. When was the last time Vince McMahon had a bad match as I think with overbooking him vs Zach would be good. Ditt for Steph and Sable if done right. And Matt Hardy vs Billy Gunn won't be hideos or anything like that. I think the above, which based on recent angles, seems very likely, is a very good first Smackdown PPV, especially since they get to save Angle vs Lesnar, Kidman vs Rey, and Rey vs Ultimo for the future so they are not blowing their load on one PPV. The McMahons are on the PPV so there can be a payoff to their time consuming storylines(which are also the hottest acts on Smackdown right now, justifying their spots on the PPV) But no, lets bitch about everything.
