Garth Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Recently i got thinking about Matt Hardy and how over he is with the IWC. I like many others am a mark for Mattitude, but tried to work out what about him it was exactly that got him over with us guys so much. I broke it down into it could be one of three things his improved mike skills, his gaining of new moves eg: the side effect, richochet etc or his amazing enterance. I came to think that it was his entrance, with the whole computer media player gimmick going on with it, as well as the extremely entertaining matt facts most of the iwc could connect with this and thus it got him over. This probably came off as really dumb but it was just something i'd been thinking about recently. Your thoughts please.

He comes across as a guy trying to make himself known as 'the captain of the team'. Not only that, but he seemed like a completely vicious bastard. For someone who was never really formally trained, he had an "old school" training philosophy where any new prospects who wanted to learn to wrestle had the shit kicked out of them for breathing the same air as him. And he isn't the only one, Hurricane came off like a dick regarding that also. Now, I dig Matt's matches, but I really wouldn't give him the time of day. Also, the way he trivialized his relationship with Lita saying that she's just like having a cool guy friend you can fuck was very malicious. He must be a god in bed, because I don't understand how she could put up with that shit.

In the Raw Magazine interview (Which wasn't in character, it was suppsed to be a look at "the man") He did the same shit. Everything ever done was his idea. He's like Nova.

He probably did come up with most of the "Hardy Boyz" stuff then Jeff gets all the credit and attention while Matt gets called Marty Janetty(sp?). Guest Polish_Rifle Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I read the book and I think he’s just expressing his resentment that he is the one with all the passion for the industry and he is the one that puts together most of the Hardy Boyz matches, yet Jeff gets all the credit and the accolades. Also with the Lita thing, Jeff did say that Matt loves her to death but is a lot like his father, in that it is difficult for him to come out and say the 3 little words…That lucky bastard!

LMAO Anyway, I didn't have a problem with the Hardy Boyz. Jeff is one crazy fucking bastard. With all the bumps he's taken (as well as botches), I would compare him as a young Mick Foley. I always liked the Hardy Boyz music and the paint is pretty cool. I just find a majority of female Hardy Boyz (mostly Jeff's) fans really annoying. They had the disasterous break-up attempt in late 2001. Then Matt cost Jeff winning the IC title and moved to Smackdown where he didn't accomplish much on there (except trying to beat up the Undertaker) until he got the Cruiserweight push earlier this year. This allowed Matt to come out and really showcase the talent that he has that he was talking about. I mean his match against Billy Kidman at NWO was really good. And I think by finally being able to showcase his talent, its what got the crowd to like him even as a heel. I think he's bitter that Jeff got all the attention because Matt wasn't crazy enough to those kinds of bumps...Mattitude rules however and I hope he gets the US title (along with Benoit and Guerrero of course).
