Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 OK, a few weeks ago Chave made a thread where we took guesses on the next 5 wrestlers to be given a pink slip by the WWE. Now, thanks to a comment made in the Paul London thread by syxx2001, I present to you the Next 5 Names To Be Signed by the WWE Thread. Any indy wrestler, from local promotions to CZW, ROH or TNA is eligible for this pool. My five: 1)Frankie Kazarian (has a contact with Nova, is groomed for a push by TNA) 2)Michael Shane (relation to Shawn Michaels, also has an "in") 3)CM Punk (I can see a Straight Edge vs. Mattitude feud for some reason) 4)Abyss (WWE is probably looking for a new monster heel other than Big Slow or Ghey Train) 5)America's Most Wanted (OK so that's 6...but WWE has to realize at some point that the tag division is as stale as week old bread)
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 AMW would probably work on RAW. But I'll vote for Michael Shane and I won't care because I think he's massively overrated. That's just from that list. Sting is still my first choice.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 AMW would probably work on RAW. But I'll vote for Michael Shane and I won't care because I think he's massively overrated. Guest Eagan469 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 1) Lo-Ki 2) Sting 3) Rick Steiner 4) Joanie Lauer 5) Randy Savage
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I think American Dragon will probably end up in the WWE sooner or later.
EL DANDY~! Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 becuase people think the man is the second coming of Shawn Michaels, Barron... There is no fuckin way that Vince can wait too much longer without sniping AMW. They are on a fuckin role and there is always a place for good ol Southern Tag wrestling in my heart...and there should be room on that roster for some, as well.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Someone must like him since he's all over the place. He's like Christian only with less charisma.
Guest cue_meanie Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 3) Rick Steiner Oh god I hope you were kiddin, not even TNA is stupid enough to use him again.
Guest bob_barron Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Ummm no. Michael Shane may not be that great but he is MUCH better then Christian is. Michael Shane does have the same problems (too many rest holds) but he is very good at working a crowd and getting people to hate him- He's a better worker then Christian. No one on the IWC likes him at all so I can't say he's overrated
Guest Zack Malibu Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I don't mind Michael Shane, but I don't adore the guy either. He'd probably slide into a midcard feud with somebody, unless his uncle/cousin/whatever Shawn is opted to put him over. Watch him show up in Evolution or something.
EL DANDY~! Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 MEanie, it IS the WWE we're talking about...
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Shane is good at gettig 800 people in a gym to respond to him from 5 feet away. 10000 in rafters is a different story. Hell, Christian always gets great heat at house shows when he's working the crowd.
Guest BigPoppaKev Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 I see American Dragon ending up in the WWE someday. He has worked dark matches, Heat, and Velocity in the past and I think that is a sign that he is going to get a contract someday. Abyss will most likely get snatched up sometime soon. I think Jeff Hardy will come back in the near future if he can show the WWE he has his act together. Also I wouldn't be surprised if D-Lo came back after showing his skills in TNA.
Guest ViciousFish Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Persoanlly, I would love to see Steve Corino on Raw but I know it will never happen. I'm not sure what Vince has against the guy but it sucks. Same goes with Low-Ki. He's a little guy with Benoit levels of charisma. If he does get signed he'll get Jamie Knoble treatment. I have no clue who will get signed. I don't know enough about indy wrestling.. 1. AMW After that I have no clue
Mecha Mummy Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 (edited) Michael Shane does have the same problems (too many rest holds) but he is very good at working a crowd and getting people to hate him And Christian ISN'T? Christian gets some of the biggest heel heat on Raw. Anyways, my picks... 1. Iceberg 2. Abyss 3. Michael Shane 4. Alexis Laree 5. Jeff Hardy Edited July 12, 2003 by Gosunkugi

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Hey Gosunkugi Your #4 pick just came in!
Guest ViciousFish Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Michael Shane does have the same problems (too many rest holds) but he is very good at working a crowd and getting people to hate him And Christian ISN'T? Jeff Hardy There's already a whole 4 page topic about how he's been signed. You dirty cheater
Mecha Mummy Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 He WHAT? *Checks* DAMMIT! This was one of the top threads so I just started here. Great, now I have to pick someone new.

It is really sad that he got the rep as the guy who bleeds well. Imagine the blading in a PPV match between him and Crips. The King of Old School character rules. His promo from TNA when he fought Low-Ki gives me shivers
Guest sean pyro Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 01. Sting 02. Alexis Laree 03. Shark Boy 04. Simply Luscious 05. AMW
Guest razazteca Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Million to one odds that Shocker gets signed and gets Eddy Guerrero treatment.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 Sting is the only person who will be signed that will get any sort of a push. Maybe some hosses but no one entertaining,
Guest Dangerous A Posted July 11, 2003 Report Posted July 11, 2003 WWE has already looked at Low Ki and they aren't interested. Chris Daniels deserves a shot. Like yesterday. I think AmDrag will eventually make it, but they'll OVW him first. Then they'll probrably saddle him with some horrible gimmick or personality. I could see one or both of AMW making it sometime, depending on circumstances.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Abyss and AMW from TNA Micheal Shane Jay Lethal Me, as an announcer
syxx2001 Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Red Michael Shane Abyss The Truth Donovan Morgan Low Ki isn't getting signed because he could have signed a contract but he refuses to change his style and become less stiff. Daniels was at OVW a few months ago. If they wanted him, he'd be there by now. AD I dont really give a shit about. AJ Styles, again, if they wanted him, he would be there already. And unless they have something ready for them, they will go straight to OVW. And Styles turned down the contract because 500 dollars a week in OVW wouldn't cut it.
Guest MideonMark Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Add me to the Abyss and AMW list. Why AJ Styles hasnt been offerred more than that Ill never know, surely even Vince HAS to realise that AJ Styles is the future of wrestling, not Randy fucking Orton. I also say they might end up signing Simon Diamond/Swinger and possibly Christoper St. Connection, cause Vince sure loves gay characters, and they do it better than anyone. Alexis Laree I could see being signed and I think Sting's signing is inevitable. Sting I wouldnt be totally against signing, as long as he was wrestling someone like Jericho, Benoit, Angle, or even Flair, cause that would still be pretty good, but if he was in there with anyone else it could get ugly
syxx2001 Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Lita said on Byte This that Alexis is one girl she would love to wrestle one day. And Bruce and Lenny did the gay thing better than anyone. They were actually funny.
Guest Askewniverse Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 1) Sting- seems inevitable. He's the only major WCW star left that hasn't had a stint in the WWF/WWE. 2) Hulk Hogan- as someone once told me "If Judgment Day happened in real-life like in the Terminator movies, two things are sure to survive: cockroaches and Hulk Hogan." 3) Jonah Adelman- was seen backstage on Raw not too long ago. Plus, the WWE seems to always hire someone from a season of TE that didn't win (TE 1- Nowinski, Josh; TE 2- Matt Morgan, Jessie). 4) America's Most Wanted- everyone else seems to have covered the reasons why. 5) "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson- was already on Velocity. Wouldn't surprise me to see him there full-time.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted July 12, 2003 Report Posted July 12, 2003 Am Dag and Daniels are the only indy stars who I can see WWE signing, Am Drag for his Michaels connections, Daniels because he's getting on a bit, and might like one last shot at the big time.
