There are no tasteless comments here. It's cheap humor at the expense of a celebrity, but it's not tasteless. Also, how is it "flaming" when Kobe doesn't post here and won't read what's being said? Implicit in "flaming" is that the comments are directed toward another member of the boards. Hell, people have called George Bush all kinds of unflattering names in Current Events, but no one ever tried to say they were "flaming" the president. The foibles of celebrities are public domain, and thus, can be commented upon, positively or negatively, by anyone who reads about them. Within reason, people can say what they want about a celebrity. Racist remarks and sincere wishes of death are obviously beyond the pale, but mocking someone for cheating on his wife and diddling a cheerleader is not.

But this is not some pussy hound, career "adulterer" we're talking about, at least not that we know of. This is ONE occurence that came to light about this man fucking up. We ALL fuck up. That [making mistakes] is what I was attempting to say is common, not cheating [even if that was the "mistake" I chose to highlight] (although that's just as common, not that it makes it right).

 

To call someone a disgusting piece of shit for making ONE mistake is WAY harsh, I don't care if the act in question was domestic violence, child abuse, adultery or even murder.
