PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2006 Ha, blades sign Colin Kazim-Richards, a mardy little shit who wasn't really good for championship. Warnock really should get someone else to buy his strikers, he's signed 50+ since 99. Staggering.
deancoles 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2006 Didn't he spend 3 million on Horsfield and Akinbiyi instead of buying Cameron Jerome? We've got only 5 strikers, one injured, one at Yeovil with us paying 50% of his wages, one inside, one who's showed none of his Yeovil form and one's a 18 year old who's best used as an impact sub. Edit: Forgot about your Striking situation, how much money do you have to spend?
k thx 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2006 Pompey loaned out Todorov (with 2 games in 3 games) to one of our rivals. How bizarre. Although we do have Andy Cole and Lua Lua returning to fitness, so hopefully he's just going there to get more match practice instead of being surpless to requirements. Krankjar looks like a decent signing, Fernandes should be good if he regains fitness and we've got a Cameroon winger. If feels wierd having an international weekend in the third week of the season. deancoles 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2006 Felt weird playing on one, last year we had Partridge, Wilkshire, David Rhys George Best Cotterill(His full name) in the full squads and Jennison and Scott Golbourne in the England youths(with Theo Walcott) http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,277-2340557,00.html "Unfortunately, first Chelsea — after a whistlestop scouting trip by Jose Mourinho — and then Manchester United, Sevilla, AS Roma and Arsenal refused to meet the asking price.By the early hours of Thursday morning, MSI had been reduced to offering what amounted to glorified loan deals to Portsmouth and West Ham until Pompey balked at the stringent terms." What's the Pompey fans view on that?
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2006 How much money do we have? -£27m. The chairman finally dug into his own pocket to finance a fucking loan deal for a Charlton winger, but we're still right in it. Looks like we'll have players back for Southend anyway, our full squad's alright, aside from the keeper situation. Brad Jones is only on loan till november, and he's pretty scary anyway, him and Adamson just concede soft goals, wouldn't want either as first choice. deancoles 0 Report post Posted September 3, 2006 Our debt is about -£4/5m with a lot of that out the chairmans pocket, only players we've paid money for this year are Noble and Fontaine, Hearts gave us Johnson Jr and McAllister on frees with sell ons included. The Goalie thing you have is just like us, we can produce lots of good players in the Academy but every keeper from it ends up at our local non league sides, instead we get young Loanees like Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill who usually sit on the bench for their spell and then go back. PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2006 We've been trying to get Jones' red card rescinded, but the tape of the incident we sent to the FA got damaged in the van. The match was on sky for fuck's sake, surely they've got access to the footage?

What's the Pompey fans view on that? Judging from the apparent terms and conditions of the deal, I think we're better off out of it. I'm guessing they came to us because Gaydamak is involved in Israel (for all this talk of Russian businessmen, I think that the main link is that they all seem to be involved on the same Jewish projects). Harry seems to have built a good team spirit, to replace that with a couple of hired hands would be dangerous.

deancoles 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 League 1 is really awful this season, we're 7th now despite losing half of our matches and having our only senior Right Back inside, our 01-03 team would have walked it this season. Last night was only memorable for Jamie McCombe, 6'7 and looked good in the air(like Carey) and good on the deck(like Fontaine) can see why he was Lincoln captain and player of the season last year. Anorak 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 I smell poo poo The poo poo of relegation The smell is back! And this time it really stinks. I'm not convinced there's three worse teams than us at present. Away form has been total shit for the past three seasons and if we start losing bad games at home like last night we are truly fooked. PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2006 Sturrock signs till 2010! A very good first half aside, the fact remains that if we can't score in open play against a team as comically shite as Stoke were we could well be in for yet another miserable time this season. Didn't play to the whistle and conceded a daft goal against the run of play, and aside from forcing a great reaction save and missing a last minute sitter, created few chances despite evidently being the better side. We're improving, but slowly. Got the players, definitely. We could do to completely Tonk Hull, but they're coming of a win...

k thx 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2006 Nice one. I was worried after your start to the season that you might struggle, but it looks as though you've turned it around. As for Pompey, I am satisfied. Having said that, all five teams we've played so far are down in the bottom half of the table, so it's more luck of fixture than anything else. I think that the Premiership is going to be pretty competitive this year. I think the usual clubs will take the top 5 places, Everton will be up there, Vill look as though they'll be tough to beat under O'Neill and West Ham can well if the new signings play well or if they get taken over with some money. Hopefully Pompey will get into Europe, which would be unbelievable for us. I don't think we'll ever get a better chance. Kanu and Lua Lua are talking about Champions League, put they're crazy. It's going to be a long season...
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2006 At the other end of the spectrum, I can't think of a side in the championship who wouldnt have beaten us if they played us last friday. We've still got the very very impressive Yoann Folly to come back in midfield, and others are consistently playing well, but nothing happens for us. Ever. We caaaaan't be in a relegation scrap again...
deancoles 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2006 What was Brunt doing on the bench the other night? I thought he was one of your better players. Thought the only difference with you and Hull was Myhill(we had him on loan sitting on the bench for 3 months) and Parkin who I can see at a Reading or Charlton next summer.
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2006 Brunt should have started that game yes. His own laziness is the only reason he ever gets put on the bench, he's our most skillful player when he wants to be, just a bit of a fag. We were ok in the second half, we threw BULLEN~! on sooner than we did against stoke, and he usually has a positive impact in the attack. Parkin is a fat twat. That is all. Oh well, we're above Fucking Leeds! Blackwell is history...

deancoles 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2006 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5357822.stm That's Showunmi's agent, Newell said a few months ago that Enoch was being offered to other clubs while under contract, hope neither him or Bristol City are mentioned tonight, last thing we need. k thx 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2006 Apparently, Harry's heavily implicated. Without being harsh, I don't think Bristol City will be mentioned when they can point the finger at Premiership or Championship clubs. I'm guessing a lot of it will be sensationalist stuff anyways.
