Guest Dangerous A Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 What is your favorite sandwich place and what in particular is your favorite?
Guest Dangerous A Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 I went with Blimpie's. Although the other places have better overall selections, I absolutely love the Blimpie Best. My favorite sandwich of all the commercial sandwich shops.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Subway, though it wins by default since it's the only chain I've tried. It's awfully convenient when there's been one within a few blocks of me for years. There's a few Quizno's within a short bus ride downtown, but I've never bothered. And I don't even know where the nearest Blimpie's is... certainly nowhere within reasonable distance of me.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 I love Subway's chicken salad. Blimpie is some good shit, too, but the nearest one is about 40 minutes away. I don't think we have Quizno's around here.
Guest Vyce Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Easy - Schlotsky's Deli. Goddamn, it's good. I get their "regular" sandwich - ham, two kinds of salami, with three kinds of cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and BLACK OLIVES~! on a toasted sourdough bun. Mouth-watering good. The olives give it a great kick!
Guest Dangerous A Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 We used to have several Schlotsky's around town (Sacramento) but unfortunately they have all shut down. Their regular was damn good and the bread is to die for.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 Local: Publix. On that list, Subway. I've yet to go to Quizno's
Guest Choken One Posted August 5, 2003 Report Posted August 5, 2003 sUBWAY FOr the National Chains... Anyone in the cincy area go to "Atheniams" HOLY SHIT! That place is a heart attack artery clogging sob.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 We just had a Quizno's open up here a few months ago and it will be the place I go to when I die. They're black angus steak and varios chicken subs, right now they have the Tuscan chicken as a special, are mucho awesome. A W.G. Grinders opened up recently too, but I've only been there once. When I live in Pittsburgh there was a place on the Pitt campus called the Atwood Deli, but I called it the Angry Italian, because it was run by this old angry Italian guy. I loved that joint. My favorites were the Westport tuna melt, the cold meatloaf and the classic italian.
Rendclaw Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 I go to Subway's regularly, though I went to Quizno's when I lived in Orlando and it was good... Subway is instrumental is helping me lose weight, even though I'm not doing the Jared thing..
Guest The Superstar Posted August 6, 2003 Report Posted August 6, 2003 I usually go to Subway, but there's a deli in Gainesville called McAlister's Deli, and...wow. Awesome sandwiches.
Guest Prototype450 Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 Quizno's is expensive but the sandwiches are damn good. The honey mustard chicken with bacon is one of the best sandwiches they have. I also like the steak and cheese sandwiches from tubby's and subway.
Guest DerangedHermit Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 Blimpie's for me. Those kids' meals back in the day were awesome. Mmmmmmmmmmm....turkey with Twix bar as a dessert/snack......mm
Guest MaxPower27 Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 D'ANGELOS..... I forgot about them I miss living up in the Northeast.
Detective Comics Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 Damn straight.... best sandwich shop ever... I'd know, I work there.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 I wish we had them down here, but it's kind of cool when I go up to MA once a year to hit up a D'Angelo's for a BLT.
Guest The Old Me Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 I'm tied with subway and quiznos.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted August 7, 2003 Report Posted August 7, 2003 Subway for me. I've been a Blimpie fan, although the meatball subs are fine...
MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 8, 2003 Report Posted August 8, 2003 IF we had a Quiznos here Id say that since Ive heard good things about the place. As it is all we have are a couple of Subways so thats the forced answer for me. Personally If I want a sub I just go to the grocery store and get bread/meat/cheese/veg and make subs. 1 trip can usually get enough for 6 subs cheaper than the cost of 3 from Subway.
Guest SweetNSexyDiva Posted August 8, 2003 Report Posted August 8, 2003 I like Quizno's, but the prices are so much better at Subway. Plus, I think Subway is much healthier.
Only The Strong Survive Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 Steak & Cheese with Southwestern sauce... :drools:
Guest Choken One Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 God the Steak and Cheese is HORRIBLE. Me? Meatball with Provolone, Pickles, Lettuce, Honey Mustard and Southwestern Sauce. or Honey Mustard Ham with Lettuce and American Cheese with Pickles or Cold Cut Trio with Pickles, Pepperjack and Southwestern Sauce.
DangerousDamon Posted August 10, 2003 Report Posted August 10, 2003 choken where is this atheniams place in cincy i will check it out when i go visit next week
Vyce Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Here's one for the local Washington D.C. area folks - Jerry's Subs N' Pizza. Good subs, cheap pizza (the large is only like 6.99). Good stuff!
Lil' Bitch Posted August 13, 2003 Report Posted August 13, 2003 Subway because nothing can touch their foot-long meatball sandwich.
