The O.C.

Recommended Posts

They will be airing a new episode next week, the night before Thanksgiving. Since its a week ahead, I'm going to put it up as a spoiler. Got this from the DirecTV program guide.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Seth struggles to make up for the way he acted over the holidays; Ryan and Luke become partners for a history project.

That's what I'm thinkin'.

If anything, they should replay some of the earlier eps to catch people up on the current storylines.  Do 3 hours Wednesday, Thanksgiving night, and Friday, that way new viewers can be caught up for the following week.

Three Hours?

Fox is only 2 hours and FOX has too much momentum as it is...

Right now...They should just shitcan 70's Show and Stan Hooper over to Monday in Skin's vacent slot and air the prior week of OC at 8...

Why two weeks ahead?

Knowing The O.C...It's normal to have THX two weeks before hand...Hell in my mom's family we always had THX two weeks AFTER.

I just figured that instead of Holiday Specials, they make room to stretch until 11 with OC reruns. The way I had it figured was because there were nine episodes previous to tonight.

You know, every week, this show gets better and better.

Peter Gallagher is the King of Kings for his portrayal of Sandy Cohen. He had me dying tonight (what about the scene where he was making the gestures to Seth about Anna after she said some big word?)

The Seth storyline was golden. I'm really interested to see how they play it out and who he goes with.

I honestly feared Ryan and Marissa breaking up already during this ep, but was pleased to see that wasn't the case. The whole Trey storyline had me on edge, I figured Ryan would get busted but Marissa would take the rap to save him or something.

Now, any speculation as to the secret on next week's show?

Woah, Marissa appears half naked in the new Enrique Moleface video? (clips shown on Extra) Wow.

And she's underage, too. Uh oh.

Another great show.

Seth finally realizes just how much "Pimp Juice" he has....

I'm finally starting to notice Anna a bit more, She's decent looking.

Summer..., as always.

First let me get my gripe out of the way. How in the hell do you not have Summer's picture in the opening credits????? The hottest chick on the show and she gets held down like this. Luke, who was off the damn show the last two weeks gets to be in the opening credits, but Summer, who is an important part of every show, gets nothing but her name, AFTER the commmercial break. Bastards.

Okay, now that that is out of the way, this is officially my favorite show on tv right now. Sandy has me laughing every time he is onscreen. When he said to his wife "Hit the bricks? Who still says that?" I was dying. Seth is right behind him in the comedy awesomeness. Julie's bitch looks were deadly. Kirsten telling Sandy to kick her dad out was funny. Summer saying "eww" when Sandy walked in was gold but her kissing Seth and not understanding why continues to be the best of the best. Anna has officially become hot in my book, but there seems to be something wrong with her speech. Anyone else picking this up? She speaks in baby talk. Like she has a speech impediment. Oh yeah, Ryan, Snoopie, nuff said.

I agree. I can understand Julie not being in the opening credits, given her on-again, off-again appearances, but both Summer and Rachel should at least be in there. Summer has been on EVERY SHOW, and still gets no love in the opening.

As I've said many times, Peter Gallagher plays the role of Sandy to perfection. I watched the replay last night (fuck Smackdown these days) and was still dying as much as I was on Wednesday.

Kirsten:"What can I do?"

::phone rings::

Kirsten:"I'll get the phone."

Sandy:"You own the phone!"

Then, when they are trying to set up Jimmy Cooper with Rachel, and head into the kitchen.

Kirsten:"Smooth, huh?"

Sandy:"We SUCK!"

And you can't forget about Seth's interaction with his dad. Watch the scene where Anna is talking in the kitchen, and Sandy is nudging Seth as if to say "what a catch!", all while Seth shoots him the evil eye.

This show can honestly do no wrong, IMO. It's not only my favorite show, but one of the best on TV, period.

Is it wrong to mark for Ryan pretty much the least? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against his character, but you've got Sandy, Seth, Summer, Marissa, Julie, Kirsten, and Anna almost always stealing the scenes. My favorite Ryan scenes are usually the one's with Seth because Seth gets him to crack a smile.

That's about how I feel about it too..

I liked Ryan's character better when his name was Dylan.

I still like Ryan, but I agree he's not much of a scene stealer. The thing I like most about the fact that he and Marissa are now together is that they aren't all "perfect". Their different lifestyles and opposing views on things make for good tension, so I'm glad they didn't get the "storybook relationship" once it happened.

Oh, and I almost forgot another scene from last night, when Kirsten is making margaritas and Seth comes up to her.

Seth:"Marissa is with Ryan."

Kirsten:"WHAT? HONEY, I CAN'T HEAR YOU?"

Seth:"I SAID...Marissa is in Chino!"

Kirsten:"HANG ON, LET ME TURN OFF THE BLENDER..."

Seth:"I SAID MARISSA IS IN CHINO!" (just as blender is shut off)

Seth:"Whoa...that happens in real life?"

I think Summer was in the opening credits in the first few episodes but they took her out. Probably cause she wasnt supposed to be a regular character. And why would they just put Rachel in the opening credits in the middle of the season. Ive never seen that happen on any other show.

And for whoever wants to know the big secret

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Luke's dad is gay and comes out of the closet so Luke gets made fun of and Ryan steps up to help him in a fight.

They are total opposites.

McKay was a rich kid that never wanted to be rich...

Atwood is a poor kid who didn't know what he wanted to be

The only similarity is that they are the brooding type and have dark hair.

I still can't believe Marissa is only 17! Do you think I have a shot with her? HAHA!

I personally wouldn't watch this show for any reason other than threat of bodily harm, but my observation from the numerous commercials & promos I've seen: talk about the jailbait cuties all you want, but I personally think Kelly Rowan smokes ALL of them.

Then again, I've been a Rowan fan for a loooooong time.

What? I don't see the similarities at all. Julie Cooper looks like an old hag compared to Leah Remini.

I can *kind of* see where's he's coming from. Oh, and just to fill my "useless teen show facts" quota, let us not forget that Leah Remini was Stacy on the Malibu Sands eps of "Saved By The Bell".

I think you guys are forgetting the most important part of last weeks episode......The triumphant return of Capt. OATS! Fuckin' Seth is gold in every scene. There aren't many shows that actually make me laugh out loud, but this one does every week.

Here's this weeks preview

The O.C.

The fall-out from Thanksgiving is still settling over everyone's favorite well-off beach town-dwellers. Anna (Samaire Armstrong) and Summer (Rachel Bilson) are still upset at Seth (Adam Brody) for the way he acted over the holidays, and the poor boy struggles to make it up to them. Meanwhile, Julie (Melinda Clarke) tries to get relationship assurance out of commitment-phobic Caleb (Allen Dale) -- and when Caleb is honest about what he can offer, the couple decides to take a breather. Later, Ryan (Benjamin McKenzie) and Luke (Chris Carmack) are more than surprised to find some common ground when they're paired up for a school history project.

Wasn't there suppose to be some big shocking secert exposed this week?

Yeah, the preview last week had everyone discussing it in some form or another. Given that preview that you just put up, about Luke and Ryan finding a common ground, maybe that has something to do with it? I remember in the preview that Ryan says to Marissa "Who did you tell?", so that's my guess.
