Guess I'm the only one who watched the show?

Another great episode as Ana did end up leaving, Ryan showed his love for Journey, and Teresa continued to look hot. Jimmy is catching on to Luke which should be fun when it hits the fan. Marissa is now playing a supporting cast role so I wonder what's up next for her. And next week's previews......sweet.

I watched the tape as soon as I got in last night. I gotta say, I was feeling for Seth when Anna left, and I'm hoping that that's not "it" between them either. I love Summer and all, but Anna just up and moving isn't a good way to end the story.

Also interested to see where Ryan's heart takes him, and if he wants to reconcile with Marissa or seek Theresa out again.

Three fucking weeks until the next ep. (ARGH!), but Luke finally getting caught in the act by the guys should be sweet, and I'm fairly indifferent to Paris "I have a sex tape on the 'net and my face is everywhere now" Hilton guest starring.

O.C., The - Solid info on Season 1

Posted by David Lambert

3/01/2004

Last October we brought to you the no-bones-about-it report that The O.C. was coming to DVD in 2004:

Warner also indicated that two new hit series--the youth drama The O.C., which it produces for the Fox network, and prime-time soap Nip/Tuck, which it produces for cable's FX--will soon come to DVD as well. No (release) dates were offered.

Since Nip/Tuck news was posted by us last Thursday, we naturally called Warner Home Video on Friday and asked "What's going on with The O.C.?"

We were told that they are working on it, and that it'll be out before the end of the year. No other release information was given to us by Warner, but it's probably a safe bet to expect that it arrives before the 2nd season starts airing...it's a natural tie-in.

But wait! There's more! Thanks to readers like Paul Hillsdon and Peter Edfelt who wrote in, we can pass on to you that a company called Neuron Syndicate has let the cat out of the bag for even more information than that!

Neuron is getting a lot of attention this weekend, because they are the ones who designed the box covers for The Alien Quadrilogy, and have now been rumored to be designing the boxes for the forthcoming Star Wars Trilogy DVDs that were announced in early February.

But they've also been commissioned to design the covers for The O.C. - Season 1 box set! So, if their servers aren't overloaded with Star Wars fans trying to find a hint of info about their release (some images of possible SW designs were posted the other day, but were taken down very quickly), you can go to Neuron's official site and read the news about The O.C. for yourself. The site is Macromedia Flash-based, so there's no way to jump directly to the desired page. But if you click on "enter site", and then on "News" at the right end of the menu below the main graphic, you'll see The O.C. nestled in the middle of the news list. Here's a small graphic of what you're seeing when you click that link:

In case you don't have excellent vision, here's the text of that graphic:

In the following weeks Neuron Syndicate will commence designing "The OC" Season One DVD release for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. With season two already in production, solid viewer ratings, and the beginning of a cult-like following, the studio will include all 27 episodes in one six disc collection. The drama series, which debuted August 2003, premiered to 7.5 million viewers. OC has shown tremendous growth has earned the credit "addictive" from TV Guide's Matt Roush.

So this looks like a 6-DVD set with 27 first-season episodes on it (7 of which haven't even aired yet!), probably hitting around the late summer/early fall timeframe. Sounds like a plan to us! Stay tuned, because we'll have more for you about the first DVD release of this hot prime-time soap opera, just as soon as Warner releases the details.

Anybody see the Gilmore Girls tonight (yes, I watch it)...

Anyway, it was a repeat from last year when Adam Brody used to regularly guest star but they changed the opening this time to include: Guest Starring - Seth Cohen

I thought that was pretty funny

Paris Hilton guest stars tonight.

Freshen my mind here. Anna moved back home. Is Ryan's ex' gone? Is Luke and Julie still fucking around? What else am I missing?

You know, it took me over a 1/2 hour to notice that that was Colin Hanks.

Finally, my O.C. fix has been satisfied!

Good show tonight...loved all the tongue-in-cheek stuff.

My addiction is back and stronger than ever.

Next week looks AWESOOOOME. Granny is gonna die and Marissa goes to Chino to stay with Teresa. Then Carl runs up on Ryan and yells at him. I cringed when Luke stormed in the room and told Ryan the news. I KNEW Marissa was gonna hear it.

Son of a fuckin' bitch!

I forgot to set the VCR last night before I left for work. This is the first episode I've ever missed. Someone give me a quick recap, please.

The humor is nice, but I am interested in seeing a little drama from Seth when he learns his grandma is dying next week. He's more than just comic relief. His face in the promo said it all.

Why did they need to save Aunt Stripper? She's an adult and its a job. Who cares? Plus I hate the character anyway.

Because if something happened to her, THEY would feel bad knowing they just left her there and could have helped. And Kirsten would be a mess.

Recap

Ryan and Seth go to the motel to find a watch or something. I leave and see Luke leaving the motel kissing Julie and decide to do something about it. Summer and Marissa walk the beach and see a TV star. He invites them to his birthday party in LA. At school Ryan tells Luke to end the relationship. The restuarant opens in a few days and they need an interior designer. They pick Julie, Jimmy disagrees. She takes the job, but they need money. They pick Caleb, Sandy disagrees. He agrees. The kids are allowed to go to LA for the party.

Someone finish this up, I gotta go to school.

K Im back.

Marissa tells Ryan that they should be apart and she won't go to LA but stay with her mom. Ryan tells her it will be fun, which confuses her cause nothing is fun for him. She gets talked into going so that leaves the day to Luke to try and talk to Julie.

Luke tries to talk to Julie and sees her in the car with Caleb. He asks if she is using him and they kiss, bone twice and leave. The kids get to LA and get inside the strip club. Summer, Marissa and Seth see the actor and go with him. Marissa leaves and goes to Ryan. Seth meets Paris Hilton and Summer gets mad. Ryan reminds Luke to break up with Julie. A stripper who turns out to be Halie "teases" Ryan. Back at home they prepare a dinner for Caleb and other financial backers. Caleb gets mad cause they are serving meatloaf to people who will make or break the restuarant. Sandy tells him its his and he can serve what he wants. Sandy gets a call from Ryan about Hailie and he says she is a grown woman and it isn't his problem. Jimmy overhears and gets concerned. Kirsten sees a hickey on Julie's neck and she says its a curling iron burn. I think Caleb and Sandy get into another fight and Jimmy says Caleb can bury the resturant by himself and leaves to LA (without say that). At the club, Ryan and Marissa try to save Hailie but the manager and bouncer kicks them out. Seth is at the bar and Paris sees him and flirts with him. Summer is at a table with the actor and he invites her to see a new episode of the show. She declines until she sees Seth and then she leaves. Outside Marissa pretends Ryan is an actor from the show and gets into VIP with him. Back home Luke checks his voicemail and gets the message from Ryan. He sneaks around the Cohen's outside and meets Julie and she tells him to wait at her house. At the club, they find Hailie and talk to her and get caught, so all 3 are kicked out. Ryan gets in the bouncer's face and the manager acts like a hard ass until super dad (Jimmy) appears. He says its sad that a guy his age is still trying to be 25, talking about the manager. Marissa hugs him and goes with Ryan to look for Seth. Summer and the actor are in the truck watching the show and he makes a move on her. She freaks and Seth opens the door. She blushes then the actors girlfriend opens the other door and he runs after her and Seth and Summer leave together. Back home Caleb bad talks Jimmy until Sandy tells him that Jimmy went to LA to save his daughter at a strip club. At the party the kids come home and decide that Ryan is the brawn; Seth is the brains; Marissa is the beauty; and Summer is the bitch or boobs. She says "I'll take boobs" and Seth replies "So will I". Back at home Luke breaks up with Julie and she calls Caleb and says they can have a date any time he wants. The kids get back home and Marissa and Ryan go to his room and talk and play. She goes to the bathroom and Luke comes in and tells Ryan that he is done having sex with Julie Cooper. Marissa over hears it and starts crying. Ryan says he didn't want her to find out like this and some more stuff and the show goes off.

This week's show was excellent. It seems like we say that every week, but it's true. The in-jokes about Colin Hanks' character (like him dating the actress and Summer asking "what happens if you guys break up?" was a knock at the fact that she and Adam Brody (Seth) are rumored to be dating), and the one with Marissa telling Ryan that he's "shorter than he looks on TV" when he was pretending to be a star on the show were great.

Jimmy saving the day was awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing where the thing with Hailey goes, although I'm guessing she winds up working at the restaurant and sticks around for a while.

You knew Marissa was going to find out about the Luke/Julie deal, but I didn't think it would have gone down the way it did. Still, it was a nice twist and next week with her hiding out in Chino looks interesting, to say the least.

Doesn't Summer have a boyfriend already?

I remember her saying she did in the Stuff interview, but according to afew of the current tabloid-esque mags, Adam and Rachel are together, and Ben and Mischa are heavily rumored to be involved as well.

My local news had a brief story where they were saying Luke doesn't want to come back for season 2 because he doesn't think they give him enough screen time.

BOOOO!

Babyface Luke owns. What are they gonna do, say that he's opted to go live with his dad or something?

Also, on the "who's dating who" front, the Mischa/Ben affair looks to be no more, as Mischa was spotted out on the town with some new guy. Be thankful I get to see the tabloids when I go to my grandma's for Sunday dinner so that I can report this info to you ;).
