the max 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 I bought his debut (White Ladder?) and thought it was fantastic, but I keep forgetting to DL some more songs. I like him. I thought that The Other Side was a fine piece of music. Matter of fact, I'm going to get that now.
Guest Doyo Report post Posted August 8, 2003 He actually has around six albums and his debut was in 1993. "White Ladder" was his breakthrough album. He had been dropped twice by record labels and recorded "White Ladder" at his home and released it on his own. Eventually, Dave Mathews brought Gray on tour with him and Mathews released the album on his record label imprint.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 I really like the way the percussion and piano bits sound on his stuff, but I think "Please Forgive Me" is the only one I've listened to more than twice. Catchy, but a little blase as well.

I didn't really know, but I know that I enjoyed White Ladder. That's interesting that he recorded it in his home.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 i honestly hated "Babylon" or whatever that song was... god... I couldn't stand it and i don't know why... haven't heard anything else...
PLAGIARISM! 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2003 NO. Well, he's good for what he is, but...GOD NO. He's overexposed to the same levels as Coldplay in the UK, I guess I'd give him the nod over them, but then, I'd give Good Charlotte the nod over them.
Guest MissMattitude Report post Posted August 12, 2003 I saw him live and every song sounded the same... can't say I understand the big deal to be honest. Oh and don't get me started on Coldplay... man are they boring or what.
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2003 I avoided him like the plague at Glastonbury this year. I do like Coldplay though, so...yeah.
Mik 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 His new CD, A New Day at Midnight is quite good as well. I'd suggest picking it up or downloading it if you are a fan of anything else.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2003 I don't mind the singles he's done recently. I hated Babylon with a passion, but he's done some good stuff since. Besides, he's got the greatest drummer ever.
