I'm sorry, but this game I played four straight days for in an arcade I saw and I'm in love. This game is the shit. I go the Fatal Fury route...but my GOD, Rugal is a fucking ASSHOLE. I mean SERIOUSLY. Somebody please tell me...and by somebody, I mean the REAL fighting game players on the boards (hehehe) to tell me if and how they fucking beat him...because I just got...ARRRGH, so pissed off at it.

 

But besides this, this game owns. There's one military guy who does a better Shining Wizard than Mutoh in the game, and it's fucking called the Shining Wizard, too.

Haven't played since the 2001 edition of KoF. I last remember playing with Whip, Vice and Yuri for the cheap whip, cheap throw and super bitchslaps, respectively.

The trick is to lure Rugal into doing a genocide cutter. First wait for Rugals fireball and leap right over him, with the correct timing Rugal will miss the genocide cutter giving your a free combo. Wash rinse and repeat.

 

If you want a more hassle free (and more cheap) bout with Rugal your team needs to consist of K'9999, Kula and Vanessa. K'9999's jumping strong punch has some very good priority against the cutter. For Kula make sure you somehow corner Rugal and weak kick him to death as you mix it up with a few Ray spins. And for Vanessa use her dash and cancel it into her DM.
