Guest rawmvp Report post Posted August 20, 2003 After seeing Goldberg manhandle and defeat Orton cleanly last night, I think WWE may have re-thought their strategy regarding Orton's monster push. Or maybe Orton will win the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam in what will be the biggest swerve of all time. I'm hoping for the former.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 20, 2003 I'm hoping for the latter so I can see you people act like your son got kidnapped...and you go All Mel Gibson on Vince

jester 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2003 Was it clean? More or less. Austin interfered to take Flair out, and he spun Orton into Goldberg spear.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2003 What's a bigger insult: Randy winning or HHH busting a WM 2000 with SS? As for Randy's push dying, I'm saying no. I'm expecting Orton to eliminate HBK somehow since Shawn was interested in working a program with him and they want to superpush him plus they want him to get over with his Legend Killer label (which Brock originally had that). Guest Korgath Report post Posted August 20, 2003 No matter how STUPID the bookers have made Goldberg look... *cough*broomcloset*cough* I doubt they'd kill their ONLY monster face by jobbing him to Orton. No sirreee, no one's THAT stupid. I hope.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted August 20, 2003 Yeah it was...He prevented Flair from interfering...and Orton came at him...thus he did his job... His job was to ENFORCE the match...
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2003 Orton shouldn't have gotten _any_ offense in on Goldberg. Besides, what came from that match was _Goldberg spearing Nash_ rather than Goldberg beating Orton. They should be playing up the legend killer gimmick each week IMO, in whatever tiny way, it will still help develop his character.

Not trying to start an argument but it wasn't clean. There was interference, so it wasn't a clean win. That's all I'm saying. I could give two shits about the match itself. I could give two shits about the match itself. True, but IMO it didn't look like Goldberg needed help to beat Orton himself (which would have been death to what little heat GB has). Even with Flair all over him he look more annoyed with the interference than in danger of losing. Once Austin occupied Flair, Goldberg put Orton away pretty quick. Guest BionicRedneck Report post Posted August 20, 2003 It probably just means Orton gets his win back by eliminating Goldberg on Sunday.
KTID 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2003 Has Orton's monster push ended? MONSTER PUSH??!! WTF!!! He's beaten Maven and Tommy Dreamer, and been made to look like HHH's man-servant. I hate him as much as everybody else, but come on, he's received a mild, at best, push.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted August 20, 2003 Orton shouldn't have gotten _any_ offense in on Goldberg. Besides, what came from that match was _Goldberg spearing Nash_ rather than Goldberg beating Orton. Goldberg spearing Nash took place in the Highlite Reel segment, unless they did it again and I missed it. Anyway, Orton not getting any offense would be patently stupid at this point since he fore better or worse is going to be in the Chamber match. Squashing Rodney Mack completely is one thing, squashing some one they are trying to push would be madness. Orton got in just enough offense to make it look like he was a fighter but not enough to make it look like he had a shot in winning man-to-man which is just about where you want the match to be.
