When he came back, it was revealed that Brock had visited Angle in the hospital and they had turned friends. They continued to go on a friendly rivalry as both wanted to be WWE champion, but still hung out together backstage. They even had friendly competitions, such as push up contests. At Vengeance, Angle pinned Brock to win the title in a Triple Threat match with the Big Show. Brock and Angle teamed up against Show and Train in a tag match the next week. Angle blind tagged Brock after Brock F5ed the ATrain. Angle got the pin. An argument ensued and Brock F5ed Angle. The next week, Brock would face Mr.McMahon in a cage match. Brock was mysteriously attacked from behind and suffered a concussion. Vince blamed Angle, who was the ref for the cage match. Angle denied that he had attacked Brock. Angle was later shown coming out of Vince's office. Brock actually competed in the cage match. Brock had Vince up in the F5, but collapsed from supposed post-concussion effects. Vince slapped Angle(who was calling EMTs) and told him to count. Angle put the Ankle Lock on McMahon. Brock nipped up and F5ed Angle. Vince and Brock beatdown Angle. The match was made for SS. Last week, Brock explained that he had used Angle to keep the championship. When Angle beat Brock, Brock had no more use for him, so he joined Vince. Â That's the story.
