Fantastic Four "Unthinkable"

i use to run a comic store and still stop in occassionally but have felt really disenfranchised (sp?) lately and havent been buying anything but i read a blurb about this story and flipped through pt 1 and bought the whole series

 

so damn good

 

anybody like me who feels all "blah" towards comics lately GO BUY THIS!!!

 

for those who dont know franklin is kidnapped to hell by doom and the battle leaves scars for everyone involved..definetly not a tired old doom encounter

Thats the problem with F4.

 

A "great" story and now WE all know that anyone who's next wont follow Mark's path... and F4 will be back to... I dunno what Style follow this time, Space Adventures, Family Business, Down to earth, Funny.. etc.

 

Im sorry, Im not buying F4.

Same here. I only picked up F4 because Waid was writing it. Now that he isn't, I can spend the money on better comics.

Unthinkable was pretty damn good. However I liked the two epilogue issues (501 and 502) more, despite 502 being slightly hokey. It had some really great character work, just beautiful. Put together, all of them are pretty great.

I especially like how the stories in Waid's run have ramped up. I mean the first issue was kinda fluff, then there was the equation-monster-villian, and the story about Johnny in corporate, and with each story it seems to deepen and ramp up in seriousness... i love it!
