Vyce 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2003 That's What Love Can Do Boy Krazy I don't know what this says about me, but I kind of dug that song when it came out. Of course, I was like 13 at the time.

Guest Lilly Report post Posted September 1, 2003 I think you guys are a little overreacting here. She's going to be an interviewer and do some hosting and maybe sing the national anthem. She'll just be a talking head It's not like she's booking the shows or head of talent management
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 She's indicative of the WWE hiring process and quite frankly I think this issue is underblown on this board due to the horrendous complacency the WWE fans have had to undergo in order to like the shows. "Know nothing so we can teach you everything" Unfortunately, the WWE knows dick-all and the only good announcer is Tazz (A WRESTER). She'll be another Coach/Leary, where the only good thing said about her is "well, at least she is comfortable infront of a camera". The Cat is gone from Velocity and allofasudden a new person shows up -to team with Josh Mathews- for Afterburn.

Either way, he was shit on commentary. I sort of liked Chris Leary.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 Metlz said that on velocity that they said "the cat was going on to bigger and better things" and that supposedly a higher-up actually WATCHED an eps. of velocity recently and decided that the cat sucked. Nothing official, though. Leary is on techtv now.

Nothing official, though. I heard the "bigger and better things" and was wondering if that meant maybe he was going to start "wrestling" on Smackdown. It's funny/sad that after all this time, a higher-up finally figured out that Miller is terrible. (many months later) Suit 1: "What the fuck? This guy is awful! Who hired him? How long has he been on here?" Suit 2: "You did. He's been here for at least eight, nine months..>"

EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 I think with the way WWE keeps hiring a bunch of non-wrestling fans some of us should pretend to be a non fans so we can get hired to the WWE. An then after we get jobs with them WWE we can slowly get into good spots on the writing team.

Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Rue a new addition to SmackDown! brand by Phil Speer EL PASO – Aug. 26, 2003 – There’s a new co-host on After Burn. Joining Josh Mathews on the syndicated SmackDown!-brand program is New Jersey native Rue. “I feel very honored and blessed because it’s an incredible opportunity and an incredible company,” Rue said. “There’s so much done here in a day that (other) people spend months and weeks to work on.” She would know. Before coming to WWE, the 5-foot-9 brunette worked extensively in other entertainment industries. In fact, when she was just 13 years old, she won the teen female vocalist competition on “Star Search,” competing under her full name, Ruthann DeBona. She attended Barnstable Academy, a performing arts school in Glen Rock, N.J., and subsequently signed a recording contract with Polygram Records. She joined a group, Boy Krazy, and the pop quartet released a self-titled album in the early 1990s. The group’s single, “That’s What Love Can Do,” was the No. 1 song in the U.S., displacing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” on the charts. A world tour followed. Four years later, Rue left the group (which disbanded) to pursue a solo career. Since then, she’s been writing pop material with a more rhythm & blues/urban feel, and she’s currently recording an album. She sang the national anthem this week for the fans in El Paso, Texas, just before SmackDown! got underway. Rue also has extensive experience in acting and modeling. She’s appeared in episodes of “The Sopranos,” “Spin City” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” among others. She had a small role in the feature film “Love the Hard Way,” with Adrien Brody. She’s also been in commercials for Nike (with New York Yankee Derek Jeter) and Michelob, among many others. She’s modeled in print advertisements for W Magazine, Elizabeth Arden and Anne Klein. Now she’s arrived in WWE “I had an opportunity to audition with the company quite a long time ago,” she said. “I had an interview and an audition and an opportunity to see what this world is all about. I’m excited and anxious to be part of this team.” Her first on-camera WWE appearance was last week on After Burn. “We had a good show together,” said her co-host, Mathews. “She’s great. She’s going to do a great job here. I’m glad that she’s on the blue team – SmackDown! – and that we get to work together.” isn't that the truth....... King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 I'm gonna bump this since Rue is going to be announcing on Velocity from now on.. *I bring thee to LIFE!* Woah, wait...announcing as in Fink and Garcia, or taking Tazz or Matthews' spot. Cause if she takes Tazz's spot, that's another WWE show down the crapper.

Toxxic 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 She's taking Tazz'z spot on Velocity. ...There goes the best announce team in the WWE. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Fuck you WWE! Fuck you now! I put up with shit from you, I watch your half-assed PPVs (well not No Mercy cos I was busy spending time with girls in PVC), I watch you bury Jericho and over-push two green Canadians whilst involving them in a racial angle they sholdn't even be in, I put up with your Royal Family taking up hour after hour on my TV while Shane goes 50/50 with the Unstoppable Monster Bah Gawd Kane after he demolished RVD (RVD-haters - he deserves better than Shane gets, SURELY we can all agree on that?), Steph screams like a loon and breaks down on camera and takes 20 FUCKING MINUTES to do an interview, I watch (well, try to ignore) Vince booking himself into match after match and "deflowering" surgically-altered bint after surgically-altered bint, I allow my ears to go numb as Linda bores me to fucking tears, I watch bits of a show featuring Bischoff "raping" Linda and then i watch for week after week as Bischoff is humiliated and made to look like the McMahons' bitch for no other purpose that to suit your non-forgiving, non-forgetting egos, I watched as you brought Hogan back AGAIN when the only place he should be is in retirement, in Japan or helping TNA get a tv deal and didn't scream TOO loudly as he provided crap match after crap match as Mr. FUCKING AMERICA, I watch SCSA drink beer and act irrationally week after week whilst being cheered on by JR and numbskulls who think it's cool to get drunk and beat up women, I watched you bring back the APA, watched you chronically misuse Ultimo Dragon and have Spanky get demolished simply because he's a Cruiserweight when he's a better worker with more charisma that 98% of the Raw roster... and NOW, on top of this stinking, fuming pile of excrement that is starting to corrode my soul from it's mere presence, you're taking away the ONE UNADULTERATED PLEASURE that I still have from your programming - Tazz being allowed to break kayfabe, take the piss out of and interact hilariously with Josh Matthews and actually make Velocity the best current WWE TV product. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MINDS!?

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Have they confirmed that Rue (no last name, this IS WWE) is taking Velocity? Maybe they'll surprise us. Well, it is "Debona." And all boning or references to boning are the sole domain of Mr. and Mrs. Stephanie McMahon.
