KanadianKrusty 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2003 I found this a few hours ago: http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=1550 It's the original Magic: The Gathering game for PC plus the add-on, the sequel, and a multiplayer patch (I'm getting an error when trying to download it but I'll try to get that fixed), all for FREE~!. Of course it's outdated but it's a good way to play MTG for free if you're broke OR if you're a stupid fuck like me who gave damn near 500$ worth of cards to your brother years ago. Anyway I thought that we could play against each other or maybe even have some sort of tournament if the patch works, what do you guys think?

Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 I dont know what's gayer...Magic: the Gathering or Pokemon/Yugi-oh Actually, small-minded cretins who condemn things they're too simple to understand would be "gayest."
Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2003 BTW, the original PC game SUCKED a savage sausage. The new one that's coming out is supposed to be decent. There's also Magic Online, which is the official WOTC product, knows all the rules of the game, etc. For free play over the net, Apprentice is still the best, but you still have to know how to play the game. Magic Online can actually help you learn and improve, since it visually represents all the nuances that go into the turns.

Yep, but if you're good enough (1800 rating or more on MO), you should be able to win more than you have to buy. I don't play Magic Online, though. BTW, anyone see the Mirrodin spoiler? It looks pretty awesome. http://ertai.magiccards.info/spoiler.php

Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted September 2, 2003 I'm still a semi-retired Magic player. Weatherlight was the last expansion I collected. I still put together a deck from time to time to show some of the newer players how it was done back in the day. And calling Magic gay is like calling Chess gay. I still put together a deck from time to time to show some of the newer players how it was done back in the day. Same here, I stopped right before Urza's Legacy but up until 2 years ago I still had my relatively basic-but-kickass green deck to show the basics to newer players, and I'm kind of glad I stopped at that time because from what I've heard the more recent expansions suck serious dick.
